I've been here a hand full of times. The food is hit or miss and the service tends to be horrible, save for a couple cool bartenders.
If you're looking to grab a drink at the bar this place is fine, but the dining service is so bad I've left quite annoyed a few times. Ever get the feeling you're an inconvenience? That's the vibe I get here. I was a server for years so maybe the poor service is more obvious to me, but this is not a way to treat patrons. Get it together peeps, this place could be great!
Living in Canton for the last three years we decided it is time to try this place, not to add the last review was from my friend Yasa and it was positive. So it is New Years Eve at 6:15 and just grabbing dinner on the way home from work so we stopped. Sat in the dinning room side which was small about 10 tables at the most and extremely quiet. Two servers working the room which should not have been an issue. So I look at the drink menu and see they have Grey Goose pear so I asked for this with tonic water. Waitress came back about 10 mins later and said they do not have Grey Goose pear and that they have never carried it. She said she found this strange as it was on the computer system to order. Okay I improvise and go with a kettle one and sprite. So we are ready to order and as she comes with the drink and she spills about a quarter of the drink on my pants. So not too big of a deal I was going home after but still annoying. I tried to order the scallop crustini appetizer but I was more annoyed that she said they do not have it, without checking the kitchen mind you. I know they had bay scallops as the lady behind us was just served this. So I go with a cup of chowder and steak tips, Now you have several choices of what sauce you can have the tips in. I ask if the szechuan sauce has any nuts because I have an allergy to nuts. She said she was unsure but will check. I say okay let me know because if so I will most likely get the BBQ sauce. Now she never came back to let me know and we thought this was pretty strange. So the entrees come out and I have BBQ on the steak tips. I then proceed to ask if the sauce I asked for had nuts and the response that was given to me was "Well I looked at the label of the sauce and it contains sesame seed oil, so I told them to just make it with BBQ'. So after looking at each other as asking did this really just happen, we tell bird brain that sesame seeds are not nuts. The server then tells us she has been lied to her whole life about this then. WHAT? I just think she should have came back and told me the sesame oil was in there and let me decide. I gave this place two stars as the food was really good just need better servers.
Review Source:Not bad at all! A little too traditional of a decor, but overall comfy and clean.
The bloody mary was great.
The burger was absolutely delicious.
They do have a few seafood/fancier entree options, but it seems more like a gastropub kind of place than a restaurant kind of place.
Definitely will come back for a burger and a beer.
So I go here mostly for lunch takeout in the mid-late afternoon. Â Big fan of the Cape Cod salad with chicken, but at $13, it's a little pricey. Â Anything over $10 for a salad is a little much. Â And I'm not the pickiest of customers, but I'm not a big fan of orange seeds and pieces of rotten lettuce in my salad. Â Is it that much to ask that you wash the lettuce, and take out the rotten pieces?
There's also a really strange vibe to this place at times. Â When I go in at 2pm on a Monday, who are these people in their 20's just sitting at the bar? Â Get a job and get out of your parent's basements, you lazy douches.
And the big draw to this place used to be the reasonably hot bartenders. Â From what I've seen recently, this is no longer the case.
My boyfriend and I have been there two times. The first time we went the service was extremely overbearing ; we sat on patio and had three different servers ask us for our drink order before we even had a chance to open the menu. After our drinks were brought the same 3 servers repeatedly asked us if we were ready to order without ushaving more than 5 minutes to look at the menu. Second time we waited 15 minutes for service and the hostess was our waitress. The food is good and well prepared, but the mixed drinks are very weak.
Review Source:Centerfields had opened up a couple other locations and none of them prevailed as well as this one, the original. Â Thank goodness there's a parking lot next door because the traffic and parking on the main street can serve challenging on busy days/nights. Â Waitstaff is good, the overall mood of the restaurant is comfortable and the menu is a nice size. Â I like a few of their ginormous salads, but always need to ask for the chicken to be cooked 'well done' or else it's too pink & unsatisfactory for my taste.
Review Source:Decided to stay local and try this place out with a friend of mine. Â I wanted to like this place but I don't. Â My friend got there before me and from what she told me, the bartender wouldn't give her the time or day for her to order her drink because they were too busy chatting it up with their friends at the bar. Â I read about that in previous reviews, but boy I guess they were right.
So she decided to get us a table so she can get herself a drink. Â I arrived about a half hour late, so when I sat down I ordered a Cosmo. Â I was about to take a piece of roll from the bread basket table but I found mold on it. Â So I told the guy and he took the basket away. Â Then he poured my drink and it was green. Â I tasted it and it was an Appletini. Â I didn't want to make a scene so I decided to keep the drink. Â 10 minutes later another waiter comes up to me and says "I think you have my drink." Â So then our waiter, apologized and got me my correct drink. Â Now, don't get me wrong, the waiter was super nice but he definitely was either new or does not have good memory.
We got chicken nachos which was okay. Â The salsa that came on the side was definitely out of a jar (El Paso if were to guess). Â Then I got the steak bomb wrap but with blue cheese and fries. Â My friend on this Asian chicken stir fry wrap. Â My wrap was okay.... But it was soggy from the juices but my friend's wrap was worse because all the juices made a pool and she just ended up picking at it with her fork. Â Now, the fries were REALLY BAD. Â You can tell that they didn't change the oil because it felt like the oil just soaked right into the fry like a sponge and the color of the fries were almost gray. Â It was pretty bad.
The service like I said was okay. Â I had to ask twice for napkins (due to the very soggy wrap), and when we asked for water, he forgot and at that point, I didn't want to make him feel even worse for such shotty service so we just sipped our drinks.
Overall, I wouldn't go there again. Â I wasn't expecting 5 star quality but due to poor service (bar), mold on the bread, food that was just soggy and fries that were not edible, I wouldn't go there, not even for a drink.
had a friend from work over my house last week who managed to install a new belt on the clothes dryer which saved me big bucks. Â After he finished we would up at Centerfield's for their Monday night wing special. Â The special featured ten cent wings and ninety nine cent pizza. Â I have to day the wings were great for the price and the pizza not bad. Â One of the good things was that there were four or five flavors of the wings and they were all good. Â The owner must be losing money on the wings and making it up on the booze and beer. Â The guy I was with wound up chomping down something like forty of the wings which wound up costing me four bucks! Â The beers were reasonable although they need to do a better job with washing the glasses. Â Every time I took a sip I could smell dishwasher soap. Â I switched to a glass of wine and it was the same thing. Â For a dead Monday night they had a good crowd and everyone was eating wings and pizza which must hurt his regular menu sales. Â Great value.
Review Source:Went with a friend who goes there regularly. We had a BOGO coupon for sandwiches. We started with some really good wings. Try the garlic wings. Turkey seems to be the house specialty as its offered in like, 3 sandwiches and not sure how many entrees. So I tried a ranch turkey wrap off the specials menu. It was good if not great. My friend had the turkey club which he swears by. Service while friendly was SLOW on drink refills and bringing the check as I literally saw a mother waiting and waiting and waiting for the server to bring her check while her husband and daughter sat in the car and we waited nearly 5 minutes as well. Overall tho I,liked it
Review Source:In Canton, I suppose many of the ethnic restaurants take Sunday brunch off. We didn't call ahead and having selected a location with well reviewed ThaI and Vietnamese nearby we thought we would be ok. They were closed, our bad. Pressed for time we defaulted to Center Fields. We had the Boneless Buffalo chicken two different ways. The wrap sandwich was better. The sauce was spicy, a plus but it was also sweet, and a deep red like bbq suace. The ceasar salad was ok, better pieces of romaine lettuce were used and plenty of croutons, and not overly coated with dressing.
* pub and comfort food
* faint smell of cigarette smoke? or something else? it was a detractor.
* 3 TV's all old and small screen one was Keno only.
* service was a tad slow for a nearly empty place.
* inexpensive prices.
