Went here some some colleagues on a work trip. Â They had been before and seemed to think this was place was the schiz'nit. Â Â I thought it was 'a ok'.
Appetizers ordered:
1) Â Calamari. Â No taste, didn't eat.
2) Â Chips and Hummus. Â One guy kept saying how awesome it was...I didn't think so
I had 'the Paris' turkey burger over lettuce with cheese and a fried egg. Â I actually thought this was damn tasty.
I would go back if others wanted, I'm just not shouting out about it.
Im giving this four stars because of my history with them, but right now I really want to give them three or less.
What I loved about Met was the veggie burger option, and the many ways I could get it including bunless on a bed of arugula. I went in a few days ago and they have done a way with the veggie burger. I was shocked! They have the falafel burger but its not the same. I think the taste of falafel will only go with so much, for instance I had it with tzatchiki sauce and hummus. I don't think a falafel burger will go well with BBQ sauce, onion strings and cheese. Just not the same.
AND THEN...the other thing I always ordered here was the brussell sprouts which are now gone as well! The server said I could order the sauté kale instead. I'm sorry but kale sautéed in garlic is not the same as brusell sprouts covered in butter and creamy cheese. Sigh.
Ive always had great service and food at any Met. But I wont be going back anymore until the bring the veggie burger back at least. My only other option is the Nature sandwich which is a healthy, veg option, but Ive now been recreating that at home for much cheaper, so why I would go there and pay for it.
Sad times! BRING BACK THE VEGGIE BURGER!!
I am not a fan in the least. Â Here are my issues:
1. This place does not appear clean. Twice when I arrived there was a notable amount of debris on the floor, the bar top was not wiped down and the bar area was a bit of a jumble.
2. Service is spotty at best. Waiters and bartenders disappear for long periods of time.
3. Their food is greasy with little flavor.
I would give this one a very wide berth.
