It's okay... I had a burger, the guac burger, was craving something really good and juicy and it just didn't hit the spot.  My friend had the steak and shrimp, he said the cut of meat wasn't that great..  I dunno... Just nothing super fab about this place.  They have some good beers on tap but they're kind of expensive..  I would probably chose this place over some of the other chain type restaurants on Hall Rd.  Just zero wow factor..  Eh...

Champps has an ambiance and atmosphere that many families and friends gravitate to. Plenty of TV screens with sports, and a clean, classy upscale sports bar feel. We ate here on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. Our appetizer sampler was pretty good. At $16.49 it was steep but we needed those mozzarella sticks, tenders, wings, and loaded potato skins to rev our famished engines. Our waitress was nice and meant well, but only remembered to ask us for water refills at the end of our meal. Happens when the place is busy, I understand. My blue cheese burger was huge. A nice, juicy, medium rare patty topped with plenty of chunky blue cheese and bacon. The waffle fries were excellent. My wife ordered roasted artichoke pasta and was disappointed. For $15, there was hardly even a USDA portion of chicken. It is bad when you have to ration the meat in your meal. It's worse when you have to dig around to even find some. Her experience was the latter. The waitress brought my Dad's soup out very late - don't know if it was her mistake or the kitchen, but they did take the soup off the bill - no charge, no foul.

Overall, this is a sports bar where they pass on the cost of the uppity sports bar vibe into their steeper pricing. Picking up a group tab here can run a middle class guy a bad case of sticker shock, that is for sure. If it were not for the juicy burgers, I would have gave this place 2-stars. I would grab a good burger and fries here for under $10, but their pastas and most other dishes are small portions, skimpy on the meat, and over priced.

Went there Sat night for a company Christmas party. Parking lot was full so i thought great place....so wrong!!! Had an average dinning experience, however when we returned to our car some "no good pice of s#$@" decided to help himself to my catalytic converter. Did not need to file a police report because we have plpd insurance. Sunday went and purchased new parts and welded them in the car. all in all about $130 in part. Called the restaurant and asked if the would possible want to offer some sort of compensation and was explained of all the crime they have had in the last 12 months and i they compensated all the people that had been robbed they would be of business..... i was only looking for the place to save face, not to cover my repair bill.
If any one goes there ask your hostess if you auto is safe....IT"S NOT!!!! I will never dine at this place or any i the chain. Very unhappy in how the manager treated us!!!!

Just ok. Had chicken parm sandwich, was bland & greasy. Pasta salad that comes with it was yucky. Service was great though.

Seems like it would be decent for sports because of the bar area but it's just too close to the dining room for my liking.
The food was average however the presentation was GREAT! I felt it was a bit pricey but the portions were pretty big so I guess it balances out. I wouldn't really return for the food. We had Pot Stickers, Chicken Satay, Cajun Shrimp Pasta, and a Side Greek Salad that did not have a very good dressing but it did however seem to be house made.

Disappointing dining experience.  First sent the waffle fries back as they had been fried to the point there was no potato left.  While eating my club sandwich waiting for fries, noticed that the kitchen had not removed the paper from one of the slices of cheese.  Gross.  Manager came and gave me a new order of both, and took off bill, but still made me pay for beverage and my dinner guest's food. Didn't seem embarrassed enough.  I will not be returning to this Champps.

Out shopping this weekend and Champps was conveniently located for lunch and beers.  I was craving nachos, and actually impressed by what they had to offer.  Thin crispy chips, cheese sauce AND regular cheese.  Choice of chicken or chili.  Really enjoyed them.  I thought the beers were way overpriced for Shelby Township.  $7.15 for a tall Stella?  Maybe I'm wrong, but that seems a little much.

Service was surprisingly good, but it was pretty dead.  Would come back if craving nachos, and it was midday or a weeknight.  Can't handle how busy these chain places are on weekend nights.

Champps is that burger joint that just wanted to be more or at least that's how I see it.  Its a fine establishment, they serve good food and the wait staff has that edgy, fun vibe...they seem to only hire servers with a good sense of humor.

I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a place that has a wide menu variety, serves drinks and is a bit more entertaining.  Maybe not the best place to take someone for a romantic dinner.

    One word: tortellini.

Keep on keepin' on, Champps.  Who's awesome?  You're awesome.

This is legitimately my go-to restaurant when I'm hungry and on/near Hall Road (quite often, when I'm in metro Detroit).  Service is solid, food is tasty, the menu doesn't change across locations and is broad enough to please the largest or pickiest of crowds, and prices are fine.

This location, in particular, holds sentimental value, and its location on the Hall/M-59 intersection makes it a perfect meeting spot between Oakland and Macomb, south suburbs and north.

    Average...
Highlight was the ambiance and the $2.50 pints.

Beer was flat, service was average...Portions were huge though...to bad the sauce was too sweet to eat.

On my most recent trip to Champps, We were there to celebrate my Mom and Grandma's Birthdays. We had Awesome service thanks to Eric, and the food was awesome as usual. I go for the Champps Cheeseburger with bacon and waffle fries. if you've never been to Champps, I recommend going, watch a game, grab a beer and relax.

Went here over the holidays with a large family group. They actually took a reservation which can be rare these days and there were a few other large groups. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient and everyone (including me) enjoyed their food. Large bar and a few seating levels give a dynamic atmosphere.
