Good Spot for some Authentic Mexican Food... Inside, It's very clean and well organized, nobody speaks English which is always a good sign!  Chips and Salsa are served quickly and they are both "Homemade".  I tried a Steak Torta and it was very good, some other associates had The Enchiladas and enjoyed them as well!  Service gets a bit spotty during the Lunch Rush due to the fact that they only have one waitress.. GTFJD

I really like this place.  I love authentic Mexican food, and they have it.  I think the prices are cheap.  I don't know anywhere else I can get camarones ala plancha for $8.  They have the absolute best rice and beans, and sometimes I just get that for my meal.

I give Chapala 4 stars. After being a Chicagoan/Mexican and eating Mexican in the Chicagoland area for more than 30 years, I can say I have experienced many eating places. Chapala has excellent seafood, the red snapper is awesome, the fish soup is very good and generous in portions. In addtion, the staff is warm and effecient. The place is very clean. They also provide carryout. Also very affordable.
