My wife and her cousin went to the Charlie Brown's in Old Tappan, NJ, for dinner on 6 JUL 13. We were seated at 5 PM, no wait. When we were asked for drinks, we ordered water with lemon. As we added a sweetner, the manager came over and asked us what we were doing. "Making lemonade," we said. Arrogantly he said  "I have a good notion to charge you for 2 lemonades." I thought he was kidding at first, then I went on to tell him that we do this all the time and this is the first time anyone ever said we would be charged for a lemonade. I was astonished, to say the least. As he walked away, he said forget it, but then went over to the waitress and said if they do it again, charge them. Well, you'll never see us back here again, and if you want to put a sweetner in your water with lemon, patronize another restaurant.
Review Source:Very friendly staff! The best part is the unlimited salad bar. I just fill up on the salad which doesn't include just lettuce and toppings but it even has bread, cold pasta dishes and a great selection of different dressings they don't have anywhere else :) the food is alright, I just pack it up and eat it the next day.
Review Source:I'll keep this one short. Yes I have to agree that the place is dated and feels that way.The good news is that We have dinned there  5-6 times in the past year and it has been consistent. As a chef I have worked in and opened high end steakhouse's and still  feel that  CB 's not a bad bang for the buck.
CWear say's no need to beware
