Charlie Parkers

Came here for breakfast and sat at the counter.  It was neat to watch the kitchen activity and see everyone's food coming and going and the staff seemed friendly.  The food though was incredibly plain.  I ordered the peach waffle and did not like the jarred, super thick, overly sugary peach pie filling they used.  The waffle batter itself was completely tasteless.  The hash browns were bad too.  If we come here again it will be for lunch food.

Having breakfast at Charlie Parkers Diner during our recent visit to Springfield  for a Cheer leading competition , was a fun experience for the parents & kids. Great food , fast and  with a feel from the past. I recommend when visiting Springfield, IL.

This is one of those crazy places that makes it on a food show or challenge. Either you love it or hate it. I would go here again and give it a second chance. The bathrooms were yucky and I think thats a shame!
