The Doctor of BBQ

Firsts things first: the Ribs are Smoky and amazing, but don't let him ruin them with the sauce he has a  tendency to over apply, get them dry and sauce yourself to taste.  Between the smokeyness of the ribs and the sweetness of the sauce - when not over applied... wow, just wow.

His Ribs are second only to the Jack Stack smoked bone in prime rib out of KC and I'm going to have to call it a push between Dr. of BBQ's ribs and Little Dewey's (Starkville, MS) Ribs - even if a true comparison is tough because they'er so different.

I've had his brisquet and pulled pork, too, neither were really stellar, but man, when I move away I'm gonna miss his ribs.

Second things second @ earlier reviewers, if you want an italian beef (why?) don't go to a BBQ join in Springfield.  If you want a real sandwich go to Philly and get a Cheese Steak or goto Oklahoma Joe's in KC and get a Z-man.

Dr of BBQ is awesome!

Is the Best BBQ place in town. Its location is perfect for a DRIVE THRU dining experience.  The rib and pulled pork are to die for.  The side taste just like grandma would make, and that's all you need to eat there forget about the other items on the menu. Like sign says "Doctor of BBQ" and that he is and he does it perfectly.
