Hunan Chinese Restaurant & Sushi Bar

I was not impressed. It was $17.99 for all you can eat sushi and I saw pretty good reviews, so I went for it. There weren't many people there, which is never a good sign when it comes to raw fish. I placed my order and the food came out. It didn't look very good, it was somewhat dry looking. I had to smell it to make sure it would be ok. It tasted ok, like any Chinese buffet sushi, or Costco sushi. If I don't make it through the night, someone please deduct a star...

This place is so difficult to review because it is wildly inconsistent.

There was one visit followed by a vow never to return, but who the hell can argue with ALL YOU CAN EAT sushi for $18?

The caveat is that if you don't eat all you order, it's $2 per piece. Ouch. When it's one of those visits where there is a competent sushi chef present, no problem. I can easily tuck away 30 pieces of sushi. No joke. But on the off-chance it's no good, that really adds up.

I have actually resorted (on one occasion) to wrapping the ten pieces of inedible dragon roll in napkins, stuffing them in my bag, and discreetly sneaking them off the the toilet where they met their demise.

I've never eaten anything but the sushi here, so I can't speak for the Chinese food.

Hunan is definitely a gamble. You're either going to walk away full of sushi and very happy, or angry and disgusted.

We dug it! After reading some reviews on here, we wanted to give all you can eat sushi a try. We are new at sushi but were very happy with what we ordered. The california roll was great and my favorite, the Boston roll, delicious! Quick service. We will be back!
