Chava'S Grill

I love spicy and exotic, but Chavas is neither one. I went there thinking I would be pleased as the other restaurants that is owned by this gentleman are good. This one is not up to the same caliber. The food is never at the right temp. The "spices" are lame. It's pricey and yes...the people that work there are VERY rude. I have found bones in my chicken burrito TWICE!!! and on both occasions they did nothing. They just stared at me until I walked away. I will not be going back any time soon and would advise anyone to stay away as well.

Bland food. Rude staff. and I believe have a bait and switch going on with a <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2FRestaurant.com&s=0aab4cbd731f3d3b0d1453050d3abc56a8c80bd214e25469c7555b750dca8a51" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://Restaurant.com</a> coupon. So you think you might be getting $15 worth of food for $5 but when you go to pay they say "No, that's a scam. We won't accept that". Rude cashier told me tons of people have tried to use the coupon. When I suggested that they might do well to have a sign that states they will not accept the coupon prior to the ordering process that might be good. She acted like that was a dumb suggestion. Which if the purpose is a bait and switch to get you to come in to spend money then yes, that would be dumb.
Again, the food is very bad anyway. and with the rude cashier it just made for a bad experience.

I went into my relationship with Chava's VERY optimistically. After 4-5 more experiences i have a little more to say about it. First, I like it. I really do. The food is good, the portions size is insane, and the location is great! That aside I do feel a little too rushed in there most of the time. So much so i have avoided going there a few times lately. The place has a subway style"pick your ingredients and they make it for you right there behind the glass" sort of thing. If you are somewhat new to the place there are a lot of choices and you're expected to know what you want immediately. I like to look and see what appeals to my eye before i make a definitive answer. And no, I'm not that person in line that holds everyone up for a little too long. I'm the regular customer that just wants a second to pick what i want on my burrito. Will I go back? Absolutely! I think I'll try it a little early for lunch, and also a little later to see how the lines are at other times other than 11:45-1:05 for lunch.
