If there was a 2.5 star rating option, I would use it here. Â To summarize the visit as best I can..."If I had an aunt that lived in a trailer park that liked to make her own homemade meatballs and marinara sauce, then that is what visiting Cucina Maria would be like." Â The close interaction with the staff (all 2 of them) was interesting, but very informal. Â e.g. Dishes, plates, cups and table items were all mis-matched.
Positives: Â Meatballs & Sauce...Both were great!
Negatives: Â Pasta. Â There was some strange stir fried pasta dish we tried. Â Not good.
Literally, this place is in a trailer. Â I think it used to be owned by the adjacent manufacturing plant, and was used by the foreman at one time. Â Also, the surrounding neighborhood made us all a bit nervous as we had about $10,000 worth of bicycles sitting on the roof and back of our automobile as we were carbo-loading for the next day's bike ride.
Would I go back again? Â Sure, but I'd skip the pasta dishes and just get the meatball sandwich.
