Little did I realize I was in the home of the famous baking powder company, and then I saw the logo as I went here for lunch with a group of coworkers. This review is separated into a lunch review [2 stars] and a breakfast review [4 stars].

If you're a fan of ranch, which a lot of people are, you'll probably be a fan of a lot of their sandwiches. Personally I don't like the stuff so I ordered a sandwich which didn't have a drop of it included, and maybe this is where I went wrong. The flavors fought with each other more than Ron Artest and Detroit Pistons fans [ http://youtu.be/N37H1kSD… ], which forced me to look between the bread. There I was looking around acting like I knew what I was doing trying to find the culprit without succeeding. The bread was soft and delightful but the meats and toppings just didn't cut it. So sad.

Then I go there for breakfast to try their granola. Very good as it screams with a fresh baked crunch as it is served with yogurt and fresh fruit. It was a terrific way to start a morning as the fresh fruit blended so nicely with the honey kissed granola and creaminess of the yogurt. They also offer oatmeal, an egg breakfast sandwich and biscuits & gravy.

The restaurant itself doubles as a small museum and has historic items on display including a full sized indy car. You can see how people used to live in yester year as you stroll through the museum section checking out replica rooms and artifacts. There is plenty of seating, but the seats are hard wood and will probably get uncomfortable if you want to read the paper while finishing your coffee.

There is some street parking and a lot right across 9th street which offers ample parking. Remember that 9th is one way.

This is a great place for lunch. The food is excellent and the employees are always nice and extremely helpful.

The food is always made correctly and tastes great.

My only complaint is that they don't have enough bread options. They used to have a delicious flatbread that was very popular with my friends and me but they took it off the menu. I would go more often if they brought it back, even if they had to charge extra.

They also occasionally make a cuban black bean soup that's incredible.

Fun place to stop in for lunch as part of a business trip.

It was definitely worth stopping in to walk around, check out the historic Clabber Girl memorabilia, see what the hype was about.

I had a coffee and a chicken salad sandwich. The Chicken Salad was edible, decent, but nothing to write home about. It was more "blah" than I had hoped for. The coffee wasn't great, either, and they didn't have any milk available - just cream.

I stopped in to break up my business trip a bit and do something interesting. I am glad I checked it out, but I probably won't be back.
