Cheeseburger in Paradise

Sad to see this place go, but it had declined in the last few years.  Yes, the drinks were overpriced, but I liked them.  They menu was much better a few years back (no idea why they stopped serving the 'sticky ribs').  Oddly enough, the burgers weren't very good, but I thought everything else was ok.  One thing I didn't like was that I always seemed to get seated directly in front of whatever (usually bad) live musician they had, which made conversation impossible.  Oh well.  I had hoped they'd get their act together, because I love a 'beachy' kind of place.  Too bad.

Catching up on my yelp reviews, I remembered this gem.  Tried them a year ago.  What brain trauma have I unknowingly suffered that made me go along with my husbands request to try this place?  I don't even like Jimmy Buffet.  Just hearing him being piped through the restaurant out into the street made me crrrrringe.

So we got seated.  In a back corner.  Where the server clearly was allergic.  We sat for maybe 20 minutes trying to make eye contact with anyone who ventured into our dunces corner.  Why we waited so long, I don't know.  When we left the hostess asked us if everything was alright.  We replied we sat for 30 minutes without any service and she said "Aaawww.  Sorry bout that."  It was in the same tone as when you told your teacher you stubbed your toe, and she couldn't care less.
