Don't get me wrong, this is a swanky place that I wish we still wanted to come to. We still flirt with idea coming in and ultimately decide otherwise based on the attitude and service of the bartenders.
Every time we come in here we're treated like we're interrupting the bartenders personal time because they're busy sitting at the back table with regulars bullshitting.
Never felt like a bartender was more annoyed of my presence and request for a beer. I'll take my business elsewhere.
NOT A TRUE CIGAR LOUNGE!!! This place has strong potential too, But they allow cigarette smokers to burn their Marlboros and Newports, which just kills a real cigar smoker! I know I will not be going back! Go to a real Cigar Lounge and light up Marlboro and see what happens... Also the Cigar selection is poor and not kept to any kind of standard, such a waste on what could be !! True Cigar Aficionados Stay clear of this place! Its a complete waste of time and not worth 5mins of your day! Sorry to say...
Review Source:This place is an absolute gem. I've never come across anyplace like it. Smoking hot women, great drink selection, good music playing, comfortable furnishings to sit down in, and a walk in cigar room stocked with a good selection of cigars. This isn't a crazy nightclub, you can actually sit down and have brew a smoke and good conversation with a friend. I stop in whenever I have a chance.

Unlike some other lounges that have flat screens and other distractions, this place has non. Â There is nothing flat here, yes I am talking about the waitress that works on Tuesday nights: WOW.
Its a laid back place, where you can sit with friends, grab a beer and enjoy a nice smoke. Â They are open late and service is just right, as the ladies tend to sit around and chat with their friends or themselves, which is part of what makes this place great. Â No one is hounding you to get another drink,etc. Â When you are running low, then one would walk over and offer to grab another.
Ideally they would have a better selection of cigars, but the selection they do have is priced reasonably well.
I wish we had something like this back in Chicago, but alas we can not have liquor and cigars in the same location. Â Damn politicians! Â We can have 3,000 calorie pizza slices, but no cigars and booze: that's bad for you. Â
This is one of the few things I will miss from my 2+ month stay in the area.
My husband and I have been coming here for about 10-12 years. Â Started with Brooke and Bety (the mother/daughter team metioned below) and now with Gina. Â We've become friendly with most of the bartenders, mainly because they're super sweet, very friendly people. Â Good cigar selection, nice choice of drinks and I've always loved the low light interior. Â I still swear that either the "leg" lamp or the Kramer picture is going to have an unfortunate "accident", but the overall decor is very comfortable and well done (yeah, Gina!). Â This is just a great place to chill.

The cigars available on location are vast, and will satisfy most everybody. I love to come in and grab a smoke and a glass of scotch. They have some very good scotch and whiskey offerings, and it all plays very well together. I have been in for some events when they have cigar vendors and these are always a great time. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great place for a smoke and a drink. Bring a group, and relax on the couches or play some chess.
I love this place. Â They have a wide selection of cigars and a large assortment of leather couches and chairs. It is easy to fond a cozy place to sit down and enjoy good cigar. Â Unlike other cigar bars, the place is well ventilated and the air circulates well. Â The service was outstanding and the bar owner is increasable. Â I travel a lot for work and I enjoy going out for a cigar, Â Cheroot ranks in the top 10 I have visited.

Huge plus about this bar is that you can hear people talking, which is nice. The atmosphere is totally chill, the bartenders are friendly, the seating is comfortable, and I have no idea how they do it, but the smoke isn't overwhelming AT ALL and I have a very sensitive nose.

STOP THE CAR...You will NOT find this elsewhere in California. Nice cigars on hand, full bar with some great choices, patrons who are friendly, and employees who will gladly take care of you - WOW! Tons of comfortable seating - almost like being at home...except you can savor your cigar INDOORS! Adequate ventilation - add this one to your Modesto list. Definitely, a great place to relax - especially on a weeknight.
Review Source:1st off I am so glad this place is here. I have been twice once on a Tuesday and once on a Thursday. The Tuesday experience was relaxed refined and the service was great. The blonde who helped our group was attentive and genuine in her service delivery. Â The liquor on hand is what you would expect in an upscale cigar bar. We could not wait to get back.
The Thursday experience is what took it down a star. The crowd was ghetto, I say backwards ball caps and there was a very loud liars dice game being played by a group that cried, time to raise the prices. The Security was less than welcoming when we arrived and the woman with the greatest tattoo I have ever seen, who said she was the owner, hovered over a couple of patrons and we had to interrupt her to get our check and get out of there.
This spot has a ton of potential. It reminds me of some of the upscale spots in the city. This is a very approachable cigar bar but has a great supply on hand if you didn't come with your own.
I recommend earlier in the week if you want to hear what the people at your table are saying. All that said, I cannot wait to get back there. It was perhaps an off night.
This cigar bar is great. They have a good selection of cigars and a decent list of beer, spirits and wine.
The interior is very warm and inviting. I personally love to sit up in the corner table and play chess.
If you're looking for a relaxing evening with friends, this is a pretty safe bet. Although I would show up before 10:00 pm, because you may not find a seat!
This place is a gem...Cheroots is the only Cigar Bar in the Modesto area. It is a wonderful place to go kick back and have a good drink and a great cigar.Its owned by a very cool mother/daughter team that are not only very hospitable but knowedgeable about the mystery of cigars.I have been there several times and the other Bartenders are just as friendly as the owners. Its a very cozy lounge with plump sofas and chairs to relax in and hook up with friends. If you are alone, the small dark mahogony bar is very comfortable to sit at and the Bartenders always make you feel welcome I woiuld recommend Cheroots to anyone for a unique diversion from the usual bar/club atmosphere. On the weekends it can get pretty busy but you have got to check this one out.....O and if you smoke thats alright by their book too.
