    Always good

Chevy's (as a chain) is usually really good, but this was our 2nd visit and both times were only so-so.  The service is fair but the food was sub-standard.  Temperature was off, not as 'fresh' flavored as usual, and three of the five of us just didn't feel well afterwards.   A day later we're fine, implying the 'discomfort' isn't due to cold, stomach flu or something else.

    We're done eating here.

One of the things I come to Chevys for is the hot sauce! It's the best I've had north of the Red River!  The service can be spotty at this location.

I am being generous giving this location 2 stars.  It honestly used to be good but now they  cook everything ahead of time and reheat it probably in the microwave.  We went there today for lunch.  They had just opened on a Sunday and the waitress who came over to seat us because there was no hostess at the hostess stand imediately wanted to seat us in the bar.  There were plenty of tables but the problem was she would have to seat us in her section and she did not want to work.  She grudgingly gave us a table and was almost too nice you could tell she was faking it.  The food came out fast but just like the last two times I was here it was heated over.  I got the mequite grilled steak tacos and the meat was thrown on the grill half a minute to reheat is and then put in cold soft taco shells with cold sauce and pico which meant it was basically cold.  They at least took a little more time this time around because last time I had my food in about 2 seconds and they certainly not hiding the fact it was reheated food.  The table side gaucamole was good but I could tell she would have rather not made it.   This used to be the better location with some awesome tortilla soup but it gets worse and worse.  sadly it seems all the restaurants at the Mills are getting worse like the workers are lazy and just do not care.   I will eat here again only if I cannot think of anywhere else to go but the food court is starting to look better and I hate food courts.   Oh and the rice and beans were luke warm.  Thank god for the chips and salsa because that and the gauc were the only good parts.

Very hit or miss.  Depends a lot on which waiter/waitress you get.  We usually stick to happy hour here because the entrees just aren't anything to write home about.  The patio is nice on a summer day, it's close, and the beer is cheap.  I do love their tableside guacamole with a nice tall glass of blue moon!

This is close by for me, and I love the steak fajitas here.  The service was good on my last visit.  The outdoor patio area with the fountain is pleasant on a breezy day.

I love their chips and salsa. The mesquite grilled chicken salad with chipotle ranch is my favorite

The food portions are noticeably smaller than at the other Chevy's locations. It is consistently this way. We finally stopped going. I can't help but think this is a decision by management to save money. If you want to have a good dinner, go to one of the other Chevy's locations, they will give you a generous plate.

My husband and I ate at the Mills location last week and had a great experience! Our server was friendly and the food was quick even despite the crowd in the restaurant. This location is a little out of the way from where we live, but when we are out that way we definitely plan to go back!

Decent place, not the best location in STL.

Chevy's is just what I rated it - 3 stars - "A-Ok."  This particular location is a pretty popular choice for the Boeing lunch crowd, and that's what brought me there.  During lunch rush, you never know what you're going to get - crowded/empty. Great/incredibly poor service.  It's a crap shoot.  Lucky for Chevy's, they caught me reviewing on a good day.

We called ahead with a large group (approx. 20-25) and were seated promptly.  The restaurant wasn't all that full, especially compared to what I've seen.  We had quick service, and the food came out quickly.  All orders were correct, and the food was it's usual level of Tex-Mex.

Nothing too exciting as far as food selection, but I like their salad and lunch duo options.  It works for those not wanting to splurge on their calories like with the normal entree options, which are insane.  Have you ever looked at the nutrition information?!?  Don't if you ever want to eat here again.

I'm guessing we were ushered into the bar without asking us if we wanted to be there, because of the new no-smoking rules.

I don't ever really look forward to sitting in the bar... I would like a little bit of a quieter dinner... but since we were in a mall I figured, it's probably all the same.

EVERYONE seemed cranky.  The hostess barely acknowledged our presence as she grabbed two menus and swept us off to the "other side" our server was not excited about us either... I really feel like I'm not that picky normally on customer service, but it just seemed above and beyond normal angst towards their jobs.  Anyhow, our server had a million tables in the bar area, and we only saw her a few times.  We did see a chip guy, and a different guy bring out our food several times...

Our very long dinner was okay, since we had nothing else to do , but if we had wanted to catch a movie I'm sure we never would have made it...   and as other reviewers have noted, the food wasn't fantastic, but it was okay.  We both ordered fajitas, my steak was a little chewy, but we had shrimp, chicken, and carnitas and they were all good.

I went to go play glow golf in the Mills Thursday night and was starving afterward.  Not wanting to partake in the greasiness of the food court, I thought we'd try Chevy's. It was a mistake. The chips were warm, but I was not at all impressed by their salsa.  It was trying hard for some sort of chipotle, smokey flavor but fell flat.  Also, it bothered me that it was completely brown... Salsa should not be brown.  I wanted to play it safe so I ordered the taquitos and they were decent enough... I will say that the rare beef in my boyfriend's enchilada was very tasty, but overall the experience here was very blah. Should've gone to Johnny Rockets!

I wish I could give them no stars.  This place has gone down the toilet.

I ordered carry-out from here once for lunch.  When I called, I was told to go to the bar to pick up my order.  I go to the bar and stand around for what feels like an eternity.  Finally, a gril comes up and asks if I have a carry-out order.  I say "yes" and she walks away for what seems like another eternity.  She finally comes back and gives me the bill...  $12 for a f***ing salad!!!  I did not have a drink or anything extra.  That was just the cost for a salad.  Never again am I paying $12 for something I could make at home for $5.

I also had another horrible experience with some co-workers last night.  Last we knew, they were open til 11PM on Friday and Saturday nights.  Last night we showed up around 9:45PM and they straight up told us the kitchen and restaurant were closing in 15 minutes.  We almost got up and left.  I have no idea what conviced anyone to stay.  I was pissed, so all I ordered was a margarita.  I ordered the midori melon frozen margarita, and to be honest, it sucked.  It tasted like a plain ol' frozen margarita.  Usually their fruity ones are good, but this one did not taste like anything other than lime and tequila.  The waitress took forever to bring out our drinks and even longer to bring food the other people ordered.  When we asked for more chips & salsa, she only brought one thing for 4 people.  I was so pissed that I didn't even bother to leave a tip.

Chevy's, you have officially lost my business...

I know what you're thinking. Don't say it. My coworkers wanted to come here for lunch, and I tagged along, because I can't resist faux-Mexican food!

And that's exactly what Chevy's is. It's decent, but it's not going to blow you out of the water. I had the Santa Fe Chopped Salad: grilled chicken breast, crispy bacon, avocado, fire roasted red peppers, bleu cheese, and fire roasted corn salsa on chilled hearts of romaine. It was HUGE.

Of course, i'm TRYING desperately to eat healthier, so I ordered the salad without the bacon or bleu cheese.

Honestly, the salad was pretty good. Or I was super hungry. Somehow it all managed to get in my belly.

Service was friendly and quick. No complaints on that front.

One last note: their chips and salsa are my weakness. The salsa is on the thin, non-chunky side, but I like it that way. And the chips are amaaaazing. I'm pretty sure I ate my weight in chips.

    So much for that diet.
