This place is down the street from my office and we've ordered from here a couple of times.

The menu is the usual greasy spoon offerings - fried everything - and that's fine, except there is apparently no kind of separation between anything on the grill. Everything just tastes like lard and onions. Old lard, and old onions. Still, I was eager to try a good flame-broiled chicken dinner.

The guy on the phone pissed me off by pretending he didn't speak English and couldn't understand me. The conversation went something like this:

"Hello, I'd like to know what the soup of the day is."
    "No soup."
    "No soup today?"
    "No, no soup."
"Okay...well, what is the veggie of the day?"
    "No soup."
"I know, you just said that. I'm asking what the veggie of the day is."
"No soup today. No soup in summer."
"I know! Your menu says, all dinners come with pita, rice, and the veggie of the day. I want to know what the veggie of the day is!"
"Hold on one moment" (puts me on hold and then in perfect English asks what the veggie of the day is) "Hello, ma'am? Yes, no soup in summer."

I just hung up. The rest of the office was still ordering though, so I just got a grilled cheese sandwich.

It was dripping grease, and tasted like onions.
