One of the few advantages of chain food is that you always know what you're getting no matter where you are, right? Â Well, at this Chipotle, not exactly. Â First the lady piled about 50% more rice into my bowl than I've ever gotten at any other Chipotle. Â And somehow it was significantly more than my wife's portion (although she got more than the usual amount too). Â But the worst was when my wife asked for "a little green salsa" and the woman ladled out an enormous heaping scoopful. Â A moment later when I asked for green salsa, with no size qualification, I got the same giant serving. Â Then when I asked for corn salsa also, she gave me about half a spoonful. Â Weird.
Also, there is no excuse to leave dirty tables in the dining room when the place is so slow. Â Around 2pm on a Saturday, they served three customers in a half-hour span. Â Those tables were dirty when we arrived and dirty when we left. Â That kind of thing bothers me because it can only mean that the staff doesn't care, and if they don't care about wiping tables, what else aren't they doing that I will never know about?
I really like Chipotle. It's a ton of food for a good price. And the people at this location are like machines. Burrito building machines. Â They're very accommodating and helpful with online orders [especially when you have a long day, order your food for an hour earlier than you meant to and show up still wanting lunch]. Â
My order is always right, always hot and ready to go. Â They must be doing something right because the line is out the door every day at noon. I wouldn't ever stand in that line for food, but if you order ahead online, it's a great place to get a quick lunch.
