    Hi,
I love Chops and Hops because the food is great! I recommend that you should try it. The food comes quickly even with a lot of people in there. There are kid meals and grownup meals. You should try Chops and Hops!

My friend suggested this place to meet for dinner.. Now I have not experienced very many good places for food in ATL since coming here.. but this place had one of the most AMAZING steaks I have EVER eaten...!!!!

I ordered the petite filet with asparagus and garlic mash.. the steak was cooked perfectly as asked,,,,,

I understand they have a great collection of beer but I never got there...lol.. maybe next time because I will be back...

We love Chops and Hops. The beer selection is great and the food is very well prepared. Last time we ate there my husband got the Cuban sandwich . We typically expect to see a "flatter" Cuban sandwich.  This one was filled with succulent chunks of pulled pork. It wasn't your typical Cuban! but was tasty nonetheless.  I got Smoke Samon Taco appetizer and it was delicious. We have eaten several meals there and always been very satisfied. I think my favorite all time dish is their pork chop. Being military we also appreciate the table they have set in the restaurant for the POW/MIA. While we enjoy our meals, we are reminded of the ultimate sacrifice others have made for our freedom and the fact that at some homes across America there is an empty place at the table where family members did not come home from deployments.  Chops and Hops is one our favorite places to eat for a good quality meal.

Food is great and the portions are huge. Big enough to split between two people. The desserts are fabulous-especially the leche cake!

First impression - a great beer selection, both bottles and draught. After several very good beers, I ate a steak that rivaled the beer selection in quality.

I was unfamiliar with some of the draught beers; the staff cheerfully offered recommendations and samples.

Bottom line: a great place for a beer, a great place for a steak, and a phenomenal place for both. Highly recommended.

This place was great! The beer was yummy and more than your average Miller Lite--and they had my fave EPHERMERE!  I got the wedge salad and vege sandwhich and it was nom nom. Waitress was nice and attentive. Would definitely go back.

Great restaurant with an amazing beer selection for an "out of the way" place.  They have great beer dinners too.  I was here one Saturday and the place was stuffed wall to wall.  Everyone wanting to make political statements, do what you want.  Just more great food and beer for the rest of us.

Always enjoy stopping by for great food and brews. Group friendly; so going out to dinner with friends is an ease. Drafts are rotated frequently; always offering the latest craft beer that is available. Plan to stop by to sample limited release brews and stay for dinner. The Cuban and Chops Burger are a favorite of mine; highly recommended!

Both the service and food are impeccable.  The Heart Attack burger is one of the better burgers I've ever had, and the swordfish special we tried was just about perfect.  The "hops" part doesn't take a back seat though, as the beer list is a great mix of local and far-reaching craft brews.

Chops & Hops is as good as any restaurant in the Athens vicinity, and the service is excellent to boot.  I was devastated to hear they removed the lamb burger from the memo, but the regular burger was so good that my disappointment was soon squelched.  One of the top five burgers I've had in my life.  Athens is thought to have a lot of good restaurants but that has not been my experience.  Athens has a lot of restaurants with fantastic atmosphere but few restaurants with great food AND great service.  Venture to the outskirts to Chops & Hops, and you will not be sorry.

I'm still reeling from the shock of finding a restaurant this good in Athens, Georgia.  My sister says I shouldn't be surprised, that there are lots of good restaurants in Athens.  I say, did she taste the meal I tasted?  I haven't eaten this well since I left California.  We had expected southern-style over-salted, over-cooked, but pretty good for Georgia.

The lamb melted  in my mouth as I almost faded through my chair into the floor with the deliciousness of it... five little chops of perfect carmelized flavor slightly crisp on the outside, perfectly deep-rose soft on the inside,  drizzled with an understated raspberry balsamic glaze, served with garlicky mashed potatoes and (just slightly overcooked) crispy green beans.  My perfectly smooth & barely spicy glass of Malbec (two, TWO! Malbecs on the menu to choose from!) seamlessly tying the meal together.  My husband's steak lay atop a velvety delicious and unexpectedly amazing creamy black peppercorn sauce with balsamic-glazed garlic-fried potatoes & roasted asparagus.  Wow.  wow.  wow.  We were positively glowing with surprise & pleasure.

Only one kind of strange but totally awesome thing happened... I was in love with my Malbec at first taste and proffered it to my husband to share the joy of the perfectly mellowed smooth wine, at which point he tasted, swirled, sniffed (like any Napa-trained wine snot, I mean, er, connoisseur).  Apparently the waitress thought he was smelling it because it had gone bad (!), and brought us a fresh glass of just-opened chilled Malbec sharp with the tangy-un-mellowed newness.  Did I complain?  Um, no.  Two glasses of awesome?  Yes.  Please.
