I have been to this bar a hand full of times since the name change a while back.
I have always enjoyed my time here, but it is really like Seinfeld, it is really about nothing...
Honestly that is not a bad thing for a local bar... The food is good, the drinks are priced fair, the staff is attentive, the setting is adequate, there are plenty of TV's, the place is clean...
The parking can be a bit difficult sometimes and parking on Irving makes leaving a bit difficult. The bathrooms are decent.
All in all, the place is good for a quick meal or a meeting place to watch the game...

So here is the complete review:
My hubby and I took our kids sledding. Â On the way to the hill, we passed by this place and saw the sign that said "Kids eat free; 11:00-7:00." Â We thought, "hey, let's try that place once the kids are good and worn out." Â It was the best decision we've made in weeks.
So after sledding, we head to City Tap and Grill. Â It was around noon, and there were not a lot of people in the place. Â We were greeted by Kyle, the bartender, and told we could sit "wherever we feel comfortable." Â Our kids chose a booth. Kyle came over and offered to put cartoons on the TV right in front of the booth. Â That pretty much was worth five stars right there. Â I mean really...keeping our kids occupied with cartoons? Â Rock on!
He dropped off menus and pleasantly chatted about the beer of the month. Â We joked that on the second day of March, Sam Adams Summer Ale was the featured beer. Â (But hey, in Chicago, just because there is snow on the ground and we came in from sledding doesn't mean it isn't summer.) Â And as a bonus...IT'S ONLY THREE BUCKS A PINT!!! Â Umm.... Hello? Â Did you hear that? Â (And by the way...pitchers of the Beer of the Month are only $10)
He brings our beers and the kids' drinks and takes our orders. Â I've got to say, the food selection was pretty decent. Â I would call it "Bar food PLUS," but Kyle referred to it as "gourmet bar food." Â Okay, gourmet might be pushing it, but like I said, there was somethnig for everyone. Â The kids ordered kids food, Hubbalicious ordered a burger, and I was stuck between the hummus/veggie wrap and the chicken/avocado sandwich. Â Kyle gave a great suggestion of getting the chicken avocado as a wrap. Â He did not steer me wrong. Â Oh yeah, and the sandwiches all came with the choice between fries and tater tots. Â What choice is that, man? Â Tots all the way!!!
While we were waiting for the food (which wasn't long at all), I enjoyed the music. Â They just do the Spotify thing with their own play list, but I dug it. Â I mean, I could sing along to about 90% (which my family might think is a bad thing, but I enjoyed it.) Â The best thing about the music was the volume. Â It was not too loud. Â I know that makes it seem like I'm about a hundred years old, but you've got to know what I mean. Â I've been to bar and grill type places and they crank the music so we can't talk. Â But here is was loud enough so when I chose to sing Tiny Dancer to my daughter (Mom, you're such a dork!), no one else could here me, but we were able to converse without shouting.
The food was really quite decent. Â As far as bar food goes, it was great! Â I loved my wrap, there was nothing left of the burger, and the kids ate all of their food. Â Oh, and did I mention the tots? Â they were delicious and plentiful. Yup, enough tater tots that we took some home. Â
For family of four on a budget (and what family isn't?) the best bart is this: Â Four Sam Adams, lunch for four (and our kids had mild and sprite) the bill was only about $32 plus tip. Â
We will be back.
Sweet baby Jesus am I glad this place is here. I used to come here when it was named and owned by other people. Â
Came here on a Wednesday night and I was amazed to see that pretty much every day of the week there is a food and drink special to accompany it!..
I ordered there $1 sliders (with purchase of a drink)  they had going on that night and man oh man these were little pieces of heaven! I absolutely loved them!! and the Fries well DEEELISH!!  Cooked to perfection not to char or under cooked just right. The girl helping my girlfriend and I was the sweetest ever and  suggested i tried one of the sliders as a buffalo chicken and man was that a great choice.
A week or so later my best friend and I ordered some take-out and of course I got the sliders and we got some wings, he chose some BBQ ones and I stuck with the Buffalo since the mini slider was so good. Â I must admit these wings were pretty damn good!! I especially enjoyed mine since they were more of a dry wing then a slimy and saucy wing (which I don't like). Â He was very pleased with his BBQ wings as well and had a hard time finishing them!! Â They gave some coupons for future orders which was AWESOME!
Def recommend this place to anyone in the area for a some good food and drinks!!
