I've been to both Haru Cafe and Lincoln Karaoke (their competitor down the street) for birthday parties. Haru is the newer and classier place to be. If you want peeling white paint, college style partying (i.e. puke in the bathroom toilet and sink) then I guess Lincoln Karaoke might be the better option. The customer service at Haru I felt was more amiable and friendly.

I had fun at both places. It's just that Haru looks more classy; I wouldn't be embarrassed to host a party for a friend there.

What a great find. Truly a hidden jewel.

I've never come across a Karaoke/ (NRB) that has a crisply new book, with the plastic sheets coming apart as they should; amazingly, this place achieves it despite the fact that the sad state of books in other places would not be the subject for gentle ears. The rooms are spotless and new, the place is neat and cozy-- enough for me to trust it enough to eat the snacks (usually a no-no).

Not sure of their full food/drink selection, but we had some assortment of snacks brought out on a complimentary basis (great service!) and we ordered a couple cokes and water.

The visuals on the monitor are NOT the sketchy, "I can't take a girlfriend to this place" -type, so that's definitely a plus.

    Restrooms were spotless as well.

The rooms are all carpeted-- wiser minds will differ on whether this is beneficial or not in a karaoke place, but it tends to keep things quieter (carpet absorbs the sound better than tile/linoleum).

Sadly, since this is newly-opened, they don't seem to have much business just yet-- but in my mind, this is definitely a positive since it means there isn't much of a wait time (if at all).

Prices were definitely affordable-- much cheaper than I expected. We were there for over 3 hours (3 of us) and we ordered food/drinks, and the bill was still in the low $70's.

All in all, if you're trying to go to its competitors down the street just because they have been around longer and they tend to be overcrowded-- well, all power to you. As for me, I think I'm happy with trying new things, especially with this sort of improvement.

What a nice find.  Haru just opened and is right around the corner from a friend's house.  Very nice - way nicer than Lincoln Karaoke or that place near Devon.  Clean - modern - brand new.  Great machines and song selections, and snacks.  The woman who owns the place is great and she more than goes out of her way to make sure you are accommodated and have a great time.  I will be a regular!
