SO I guess this used to be a hidden gem frequented only by police officers  but now I know their secrets or at least where they like to eat.
Delicious spectacular food and customer service but then again dare to be not nice or serve bad food  to bunch of cops. ( I observed the other day 12 Chicago's finest enjoying their kababs at JK Kabab, you see they eat kababs instead of donuts)
I had the Chicken tika and it was delicious, Â Generous portions. Rice was perfect cooked and I really like the creamy side source.
Spicy hot...so if you do not like that much spice as them to scale back I am sure they can accommodate you.
Walked into JK Kabab to grab some takeout. I had heard from friends they had good kababs, and since we were at Devon thought to give it a try. Its a smaller restaurant, nothing fancy, more of an in and out type of restaurant. I ordered the Chicken kabab roll, and Half Chicken Tikka which came with rice and a paratha. We had the choice of paratha or roti, and chose the paratha.
They took almost 25mins to get the food ready. Staff was nice and friendly.
The Chicken kabab roll - I think by far was one of the better kabab I have had in Chicago. It was juicy and cooked well. And a decent sized portion for a kabab roll.
The Tikka Chicken, was exceptionally good!! The guy warned us it would be spicy, which it was, but man was it delicious! It was cooked perfectly, great flavor, and freshly squeezed lemon on top just did it for me. The paratha was also good, it was something in between a naan and paratha, but very light and not oily.
I will definitely be back to JK Kabab whenever we are in the Devon area! Looking forward to trying out other dishes.
