Had dinner there tonight. Â It was so cold in the restaurant, we kept our coats on. Â Food was lukewarm, not very good and the service was fair. Had to ask to get our server back for drink refills. Â All of this after the "hostess" announced very loudly to the person seating us that because we didn't have a reservation, we "would just have to sit at a table for four and pull up another chair!" Â And the place didn't even fill up before we left. All this for just under $80 for the five of us...I will pass next time.
Review Source:We went to CJs for breakfast first on Sunday and then on weekday. On the Sunday, we couldn't even get in as there was an hour wait. Â On the weekday we were were seated immediately and served quickly. Â All staff were super friendly and efficient, and the decor pleasant and the setting on the runway very cool. Â The food, however, left a lot to be desired. Â We got an omelette and french toast and scrambled eggs. Â The omelette was meh, a little over cooked and not very flavorful. Â The eggs and french toast were plain awful. Â The eggs seemed to be powdered (like the type you get on cheap buffet) and the french toast was cloyingly sweet and undercooked. Â I hate writing a negative review of a locally-owned place, but we were really, really disappointed. Â I don't get the huge crowds on Sunday!
Review Source:Noticing a trend in this town: where's the flavor? Our family was excited to try the pizza (still looking for one we like). We each ordered something different. No one ate much & we left most of it. Â Iceberg lettuce, cardboard crust pizza, Disappointing. We did like the family atmosphere & friendly service.
Review Source:great local eatery: I have been going to this place for 5 years and have always enjoyed every meal that I got from them. The service is always good there and i never have to ask for a refill. I enjoy the chicken and also the pork chop dinner that CJ offers.
They also have a appetizer called "deep fried pickles"that is something to try as its very good. They also have plenty of desserts to choose from. In october Cjs also offers an Oktoberfest and has a few different german dishes to feast on. All his prices are reasonably priced.
Usually enjoy many things about CJ's. Last couple of times I've been there I haven't been overly impressed. Menu seems to keep shrinking and the service is just ok.
Wife ordered open face prime rib, for $12 you think you might get a little Au jus, but maybe not. She said it tasted good. Â My Reuben tasted good, chips came with sandwich fries were extra; a little pricey for $8. Ordered onion rings as an appetizer which never arrived. Â Never saw waitress again until food dropped off. Â Server asked if we needed anything, Â informed Server about the onion rings. Â Server apologized saying forgot to put in the order. Not overly upset was full from sandwich.
Best thing I have ever eaten at CJ's is the liver and onions, have never eaten the pizza but everyone I know who has raves about it. Â
Older clientele so don't go around early dinner time and right after church on Sunday.
Went to to CJ's because the other place was closed. Wish the other place was open.
Ate outside because the inside smelled like a convalescent home. Yuck.
I wish I could say my breakfast was good. I ordered eggs and corned beef cash and got eggs and greasy potatoes. I asked the server if that was what I ordered and he said that maybe there was corned beef under the potatoes. No such luck.
The server had personality and the patio backing up the apron was cool.
Not worth it. The atmosphere is crowded, which is surprising because there are so many better places to eat in Blo-No. Their chicken marsala is not chicken marsala. Since when has chicken marsala been sub-par alfredo sauce and a chicken patty?! I hear their breakfast is good, but I wouldn't want to risk it.
Review Source:While we are usually the youngest customers in the place-it is definitely an older crowd, we have always had a pleasant experience here. Â The food is good, the pizza is great, the staff are friendly and I can't think of a negative. Â A lot of fun to go sit outside and watch the little planes come and go with our young son.
Review Source:This review is specific to breakfast only. Â Why? Cuz I'm a breakfast freak and this is my review, that's why.
I haven't found anything that I've fallen in love with, nor have I had a bad experience. Â Hence the A-Ok review. Â I'll keep going back to see if something stands out above the rest compared to my other restaurant reviews.
So far, I'm a fan of the breakfast sandwich and hashbrowns. Â Its nice to have an Egg McMuffin that actually tastes like breakfast and not back of a semi-truck frozen microwave-ed-ness. The flavor is right on and the hashbrowns are cooked just right. Â Not raw and white... not burned to a crisp but that right blend of golden brown color.
Coffee goes down easy and the service is good. Â Plenty of seating options and in the warmer months you can sit out on the patio and watch the mini-planes come in.
It can be PACKED on a Sunday after church so either come wicked early or come in a small group. Â If you're open to sitting at the bar or high top tables you'll get seated quicker.
