I have been here three or four times now to see my favorite metal bands on their tours. The shows themselves were some of the best nights of my lives, but unfortunately, the venue had almost nothing to do with that.

My main complaint is about the state of the men's bathroom. It was legitimately one of the most disgusting bathrooms I've ever been in, way past the point of "divey" charm. There is no stall, just a toilet sitting at the end of the room, which people do actually use to take number twos. Also, last time I was there, one of the sinks was completely broken off of the wall, and the water in the other one wouldn't turn on (when you turned the faucet, the tiniest trickle possible would come out--not enough to wash your hands with). So I spent the whole show subconsciously thinking about how no men in the building had clean hands. So gross, and definitely violating some kind of health code.

I haven't been on warm days enough times to say for sure, but the very first time I came here, there was no air conditioning and it must have been at least 90 degrees inside. I don't normally sweat a lot, but I was miserable that night. Props to the band for powering through it, even though they were all soaked and bright red by the end. It was still a fantastic show and absolutely worth it, but it's something worth thinking about. This was back in 2011 though, so I suppose it's possible they have working A/C by now, but somehow I doubt it.

Another review mentioned this, but it's worth repeating: there is a BIG DUMB POLE right in the middle of the stage. I don't know why it was designed that way, but it usually does result in not being able to see all members of the band, depending on where you're standing.

As far as the positives... the staff that I have dealt with have been pretty friendly, and the other people in the crowd at the shows have been cool as well. The bar has decently priced drinks too.

Bottom line: I give Station 4 two stars, but mostly out of pity. I will no doubt be back to see certain bands, but I would not consider going there on any other nights.

What a dive. Get your shots up-to-date before going here and bring hand sanitizer.

The bathrooms here are the most disgusting, atrocious mess I have ever seen.

The place is just kind of dumpy in general.  It looks like someone's uncle built it out of plywood for $50 and a case of Natural Ice.

I dig dives, but Station 4 is just gross.

It does have some good bands coming through, though, so I have to give it a second star just for that.
