A little bit of an odd layout with the bar in a separate area as you walk in and then all tables in the large room with the band and dance floor.  All in all I did have a fun time here on a Saturday night.

Aye aye sir, traversed to Club M Last Saturday night and really had a swell time with my Fiance.  This is clearly the upscale alternative to the gas lamp and north park.  If you grow weary of the rote mundane club scenes in downtown and Northpark, come check this place out, DJ was awight, a lot of techno mixes and mashups.  They did have a live cover band that wasn't too obnoxious, we caught the later half of their performance.  Main vocalist was the Mossy Nissan singer.  MOSSAY NISSSSAN!!!  They also played the San Diego Charger's Fight Riff, people danced to it, oh boy did they dance to it.  I personally didn't, because I wasn't that drunk, but others did.  You know who you are.  As for cougars and sugar daddy's, yes they were there, representin.  Who doesn't want someone who's young, sleek and high speed?  As for the younger crowd, maybe you're tired of the games and immaturity your age range affords you?  Time for some stability.  Dance styles on the floor?  When in Rome, do as the Romans do.  I didn't notice any twerking on the dance floor, no XXX hard core grinding of crotch to butt action.  Real smoove...... like a 50 year Cognac just running all over your taste buds of clubbing action.  Single or double, you make the call.....

been back for more girls lunches and sampled a bit more of the menu.  just the view alone makes you feel like you are at a mini-getaway.

service was slow for the most part.

the sandwiches were still good and the shrimp salad was loaded with jumbo shrimp.

my ding is not having fresh pasta.  sure, you pay for the view and just to be here but that doesn't mean it's ok to serve sub-par quality.  i realize this is only club m and not amaya nor addison but make some real pasta or at least offer one fresh option from the pasta choices if that makes more financial sense.

for a 5 star posh resort, i guess club m is the step-daughter.

WOW is all I can say.  Cougars, yes plenty and I could qualify I suppose if I wanted to be one.  There are plenty of older men, plenty of OLD men, plenty of young men and LOTS of older women and then some young chics probably looking for the older men with money.  This place is hilarious.  A one-time deal for me.  Entertaining to say the least but I had fun.  The club scene isn't my thing and this isn't necessarily a "club" per say.  The DJ was pretty good, if you go early there is a band and that is when the even older crowd is there getting down.  If you have ever been to Carver's in Rancho Bernardo you will get what I mean but maybe a little younger than that.  Bartenders are young.  Drinks are pricey, they poured pretty strong though.

If you are tired of the Downtown scene and just need a cool, classy spot to hang out with some friends, check out M at the Grand Del Mar. The crowd is a little on the older side but that could be a plus. There is no cover charge and the bartenders really take care of you. The drinks are not cheap but they are good/strong. The only disappointment in my opinion is their DJ's, but I won't drop a star because overall this is a nice place.

COUGARS! EVERYWHERE!  Including my aunt and her friend!  Lol JK.  What better way to celebrate the last day of my 20s?!  Lol! Honestly I always have a great time hanging out with my parents, my aunt, and their friends.  They always know how to have a good time.  A few of my cousins came out and I always enjoy their company.  It was a great night.

Anyways Club M is the place my aunt picked.  She wanted to go out to celebrate my birthday but could only fit Friday in her schedule.  I'd rather celebrate my last day in my 20s and not my 30th birthday!  We pulled up and they only have valet.  Get ready to spend $10 there.  Get ready to spend a crap load of money!  With all the cougars there you should expect to spend a lot of money!  They have a $35 minimum per person on Friday and Saturday nights.  They didn't enforce it when we went since it wasn't that busy.  Drinks are pretty pricey and they serve tapas so it's perfect for sharing.  The live band there that night was a reggae band.  It was really nice.

I thought the service was great.  The waiters and waitresses were very helpful.  One guy reserved a table for us while we waited in the front for our group to get there.  It was right in the corner so it was really nice.  The food came out fast.  Like lightning fast!  I was disappointed they didn't have the ravioli but they had everything else.  I ended up ordering the calamari, grilled vegetable flatbread, beef slider trio, white shrimp quesadilla, and french fries.  It was all delicious!  I really liked the beef slider trio.  The mini sliders were full of so much flavor! I loved everything I ate!  Definitely a great place to check out!

I have been to club M several times. I invited best friends to share Valentines day, I was disappointed and somewhat embarrassed. This was not the best evening. The dishes -

    1) Wild mushroom ravioli - it was not served hot as if the sauce was not properly heated.

    2) Crispy chicken & Oaxacan mole = It was OK but again the mole seemed cold and "lumpy"

    3) Beef slider trio the best of the three and was delicious.

    4) The table ordered the club M bacon fries. Our server apologized and said the fries would be very slow in being served and that we would not be charged for them. I really don't want "free food" I came for excellent food served properly.

    5)  They were out of the listed ice cream dish and the substitute was poor.

Maybe the "M" stands for Mediocre?

I love Club M.  The bands are always fabulous and in the summer there is plenty of room to sit outside and talk with friends.  There is also the sports bar outside of the club where you can relax.

First imagine you and your significant other surrendering to the Grand's many indulgences - perhaps sampling some of the world's finest wines, enjoying a hot stone massage, or simply exploring the grounds.  Now imagine night falls and although a nightcap and live music next to one of the lobby's twin fireplaces is no terrible fate, you two decide you're down for pursuing a more primeval form of courtship - short skirts, plunging necklines, undulating rhythms, and a cohort of like-minded couples (and a few singles from various age groups).  Surely you're out of luck, right?  Such a thing would go against the Grand's elegant, sophisticated grain...

Well, there's a place called Club M: Del Mar's delightfully bipolar couples' bar and cougar trap.

I decided to introduce it to my buddy during a lovely January evening of Grand Del Mar bar hopping.  Following another lovely Amaya dinner and a visit with my favorite lobby lounge waitress, we enjoyed a brisk walk up the hill, confirming that while the Grand may be my private Saturday evening retreat (it is often so empty that it feels more like my home and the staff more like a household staff... the service is AMAZING when you're one of only a couple paying customers), Club M is another story.  The place is divided into two halves - a restaurant/sports bar side and the dance floor (which is visually separated from the bar by a small, stone archway).  I had been there once before (when I was treated to a drink courtesy of an older woman... making for an awkward moment for my poor date) and wanted to introduce my buddy to it.  Inside, a live musical act had taken the stage (Liquid Blue - not my cup of tea, but delightful nonetheless... their repertoire was decidedly young and at odds with the tastes of the older couples there) and the place was filled with couples who were unbelievably unwilling to give up their place at the bar once they staked it out.  With lagers in hand we made our way into the "club" side, discovering that despite my best laid plans the darkness made it impossible for any potential cougar to notice my carefully-displayed watch and boots (which I shamelessly stole from Johnny Cash) unless I found a well-lit seat.  Regardless, we had apparently arrived early because couples dominated (older couples clearly proving they still have it... gives me something to shoot for in my future marriage.)  The tables within the inner sanctum were already filled, with appropriately trashily dressed yet oh-so-attractive cocktail waitresses making the rounds.  Although we intended to hang around until the DJ arrived, we soon grew tired of standing and instead decided to conclude our bar-hopping session by visiting Le Grand Salon at Addison  (more our speed anyway).  We had THAT bar all to ourselves... and we were honestly VERY content with that development.

Come morning, however, Club M makes it bipolar nature apparent.  The grinding hordes are replaced with a few golfers and their wives, and the menu now offers an affordable, yet masterfully prepared, selection of breakfast items (eggs benny and the "Clubhouse Scramble" are great, as is the blackberry-mint smoothie).  The "club" side is shuttered, replaced with a light-filled, wood-paneled barroom with a lovely fire place glowing warmly against the western wall. On both occasions where I have enjoyed breakfast here (which is only offered on Saturdays and Sundays) service has been friendly, if a bit sporadic (waiters and waitresses forgetting we exist... which is okay considering the place is quite comfortable).  It is very peaceful, even if lacking Amaya's opulence - certainly worth checking out.  Lunch, similarly, offers slightly-less-expensive variations on the resort's signature fare.  Settling upon what to order is often a very difficult decision.

With Amaya and Addison in close proximity, Club M fills an affordability gap, and it does so in typical Grand style - great service and great food in a beautiful establishment.  Honestly, Club M isn't MY style, but I'm sure curiosity will get the better of me and I'll be back to see if the local cougars still come out when the sun goes down. I'll be armed and ready.

This was a pleasant surprise!  Went to Club M after dinner in  Del Mar.  They had a great band playing 80-90s and there was a great mix of people.  The bar when you go in is really nice and had a huge fireplace with pleny of seating.  There's no waitress service but they have more than one bartender.  In the main area where the dance floor was it was hard to get a table.  Kinda small but really nice.  Drinks were stiff both in content and prices.  2 call drinks $23.  We will definitely go back.  Band starts at 8, great place to finish the night.

Wow DJ Noel 2033 was the most pompous arrogant DJ out there. Not only did he care about our song requests he really had no personality and his only skill was keeping the dance floor empty.

Been pretty much regular at this place, came about once a month. But my last visit was pretty unpleasant. Once in a while we come up to a DJ and ask him to play a song or two, which this time around the DJ decided to ignore our request, which is totally ok. But when my guy friend came up to him and asked if he's planning on playing a song for us, DJ refereed to us in a very disrespectful and degrading manner, which I don't think is ok at all. I did not expect this kind of language or service from a high end place like this!

I really like to come to this place once in a while. If you come there for dinner, make sure to try their sliders and truffle fries.

They have great live music and a DJ. Also, they have really nice outside seating area.

If your 30 and above and you want to go out without being judged that your over 30 trying to mix and mingle this is the perfect place.  The club is located on a gorgeous property. Just drive about 50 feet passed the club and you can Self park in a little area. The only reason why I give it four stars instead of five the music was not consistent as I would have liked. I really like more hip hop and r&b and the music was a little all over the place. However I understand they need to cater to all demographics since we are in Del mar. And yes I could go to Gaslamp for that, but most of the time you just don't want to make that drive from Carlsbad to Gaslamp. Too far!!

I've heard about this place for awhile but finally got a chance to check it out on Friday night... First of all, this hotel/resort is AMAZING!! I can only imagine how nice the stay is if the grounds are this beautiful!! Valet parking at the club ($10) but no cover charge. The live music and DJ change weekly, so I can only rate the ones I saw (Jerome Dawson and the wazabe blue & DJ showtime) both of them excellent!! We arrived at about 9:30 so only caught about 45 min. Of the band but they had the crowd on the dancefloor! Their female singer was great and really knew how to interact with the crowd!! The DJ that came on around 10:30 played lots of great old school with plenty of current stuff too!! The crowd was not very ethnically diverse and the average age was about 40+, but that didn't seem to damper the party! There were grandmas on the dancefloor that tired me out!! Would I go there to meet a hot guy, no... But to have drinks and hang out with my girlfriends to listen to great music, absolutely!! Speaking of, they have an impressive wine list (although not all by the glass) and all their tapas (perfect for sharing) are only $9 each. We had the sliders trio, shrimp quesadilla and the veggie flatbread... All delicious!!

Club M makes you feel like you're on vay-cay one minute and "animal world" the next. Beware, there's no place out there more like the zoo than this spot. Hakuna Matata.

The place is pretty chill/mellow, and the DJ plays decent music, consisting of classic/old school jams catering to the older crowd and mainstream/top 40 music, catering to the younger crowd. To put you in on some music perspective, last night the DJ played songs from Respect by Aretha Franklin, to lots of Michael Jackson, to some LMFAO and a little bit of Britney Spears and Madonna.

The drinks weren't expensive, nor were they cheap, but the good news is the bartenders seemed to have had a consistently heavy pour (with the alcohol, not the mixers).

A major con in my book were all the cougars/hyenas everywhere. As entertaining as they are to watch on the dance floor, (1) they make me look even younger to the bartenders, causing them to card me left and right and (2) some of them can be super feisty and aggressive. I won't go into too much details with regards to the second point, but let's just say that a menopausal lady as old as my mom full on attacked my friend and pulled her hair, falsely accusing both of us for what some other lady did while they were inconveniently occupying one of two stalls. Hmmm.

I guess with hyenas and cougars, you have to expect their naturally instinctive behaviors and dangerous propensities from time to time; apparently, you really are in animal world. Just be careful you young-at-heart's, you might want to take it easy; you wouldn't want to break a hip now.

This place is more awesome than a monkey wearing a tuxedo made out of bacon riding a unicorn and if you couldn't already tell that is seriously pretty freakin awesome. Has to be one of San Diego's best kept secrets, I was really debating writing this review because the crowd is super chill and the lines aren't ridiculous and I don't want to see the typical Del Mar douche bag crowd over run it.

This is a really upscale club. There is no cover which is great, but the drinks are expensive like the top shelves of downtown clubs. I had gotten this idea just from knowing this club was in a luxury hotel so I'm glad I snuck in a couple of little containers of brandy. The coca-cola I purchased from the bar and mixed them with was not so expensive.

The estate is huge. Me and my date parked in self-parking (don't let the valet take it or you will lose an easy $10 bucks for something you could do yourself) ended up walking the wrong direction towards the hotel lobby but the employees were kind enough to give us a complimentary shuttle to the actual club.

The crowd is 30's and up, in some cases way up. There are some cougars prowling and corny professionals getting their grove on. The small dance floor was packed with dancing bodies although any lookers were few and far between.  The DJ held his own.

I will only go here again when I want to get dressed up real nice. Even then, I will drink in the car before I go in.

Two words that will never come out of my mouth are lets go to "Club M".  It is not because the place is bad.  There nothing special about it.  If you live downtown San Diego there is no reason to go.

OK The place is average in size, and divided into two parts. It is in a beautiful setting along the golf course with a nice view on the back deck.
One half feels kind of like a sports bar but has semi-private tables and booths more like a resturant would.  The other half is a lounge with a dance floor and open seating area, but no bar.   Food can be ordered in either area, or on the deck. The dance area was filling up quick, (8pm) so we stayed there and ordered our food. The table was cramped for dining purposes and with the band playing it was too loud for conversation, but we managed.
The food is tapas only, which if not aware, are more like appetizers. You can make a meal out of them but would probably want at least 2 or 3 per person. The tapas are served on a platter so you can share with a partner without  worring about etiquette. They were well presented and most were high quality and fairly tasty. The crispy chicken mole was not too impressive though, just chicken wings with a little mole sauce on top, but the cole slaw that came with it was great.  Any meat dish is going to be very small.   Price was pretty reasonable considering the location. I would give the food a 6-7 out of 10. Service was very-very slow at first, but then got a little better.

Overall the place is pretty classy, though the clientelle in the evening was likely wannabe ritz.  There were definately a few middle age ladies on the prowl, but also a mixture of women with various other intents.  All were using sex appeal in some manner even if just to be reassured that they still have it.  Most everyone is dressed to kill, and there is a lot of competition for attention.  Many are probably stretching that sex appeal beyond their years, but some are still quite impressive in spite of their age.  For some ladies their looks has probably been their meal ticket their whole life and now for some reason they are in the hunt again. Sadly, you can see a bit of heartache and desperation on a few faces. There's also lots of late 30s-40ish women out with their friends for some dancing and fun. It all really makes for a lot of fun for everybody once the ice is broken and everyone cuts loose on the dance floor.

Keep in mind that many ladies appear perfectly happy dancing with their friends, but its more than likely a compromise for a lack of available men. Its obviuos that the people here love to dance, know how to dance well, and appreciate a good partner. There are a few couples, but its mostly singles.
Not many men show-up however until later when the band leaves and the music changes to hip-hop. The late crowd is a bit younger, say mid-30ish with a few hold-overs from the earlier older crowd and pop music band.
As with any review, this is a generalization. There were other people that probably don't fall into any description I've provided here.  With that in mind, the place is relaxed enough that anyone could feel comfortable. Dress for men is anything from casual to semi-formal, but sloppy would not go over well. If you look like you have money, that will surely get you attention here more than most places.
For ladies, its probably wearing anything that gets you a standard double-take.  Heels, real high ones will make you feel at home.
Oh, of course drinks are expensive. $12 for a margarita.
And Oh, We went as a couple looking for a new dance venue. My wife was a little uncomfortable with so many desperate looking women oogling me.  But she also cut loose and got a little wild with a few.  For review purposes I got to tell it like it is. I had a great time!

Are these people nuts, or do they not get out much?  This place is SO ridiculously OVER priced it's crazy. I went to their pre-grand opening which was AWFUL. No service and $8 beers!!!! Went again for another invite only party and service was a tad better, but not worth the prices.

The overall set up is kind of weak. When you walk in, they have a sports barrish set up. Loungy with the bar. The next room is more for live music and dancing. Then the dining area is very nice with great views. The problem? The one bar is their ONLY bar and if you go to get drinks, (which you will cuz service still lags), good luck. They have a wall 4 feet behind the bar which makes it impossible to get up front. A mess of people.

For the guy who said it is a good place if you are on the rebound, GET A LIFE. the cougars aren't looking for a beaten up down trodden man who can't dance. Someone bought YOU a drink there. That's a first (and most likely a last) for this place.  The girls here want someone to support them since their husbands learned they could do better and left them. If their husbands can do better, so can you.

If you want to dance to Katy Perry and Brittany Spears, go for it!  Ha, not our style, thank you.  The D.J. should've noticed (asking him didn't help) that the crowd SAT DOWN whenever he played any new pop.  The live music was great...why don't they just stick to what works?!  Drinks and food are great.  Staff is great.  Nice place...but does get a bit crazy with some women crawling around on the floor and groping eachother! Won't be going back.

I don't really know how to rate this place as it's been probably over a month since we went here to meet some friends for a friend of a friend's bday and had no idea what were getting ourselves into. It doesn't help that I was super bitchy and agitated and not in the mood to socialize first off (me? shocking I know!). Sigh. The live band was um, interesting - but entertaining. I don't recall their names - but the lead singer kept taking his shirt off and one of the other band members was blind (but awesome).

You'd never expect a place like this to be at, well, a place like this. This is actually the hotel we were staying at when my now fiance proposed late last year (I said yes) but had no idea there was a "club" on site. I think as other people have stated - if you want some damn good people watching this is THE place. Older crowd, housewives getting down and dirty, divorcee's looking for a rich golf sugar daddy, women too old to be dressing, dancing, and drinking like they do - it is all here. Like The Real Housewives of Orange County (SD Style) I just couldn't take my eyes off of the various train wrecks.

The service is great because at the end of it all you are at a 5 star hotel - but you'll quickly forget about that when you're floating on a euphoria of "Oh no she didn't!"

Pretend like you own the place! Throw down the credit card and order a round and start dancing on the tables! Staff were amazingly accommodating to my ladies and I as we pretended to be rich bitches. We were by far the youngest (early 20s) there and the images if rich older men were destroyed by the overwhelming amount of cougars present; but we had a blast!
Strong drinks and great customer service... We were able to self park in the valet section and not pay :)
Get your girls together and go here for a fun night!

This is a very odd place.  I find it odd because as the previous reviews have touched upon, the typical clientele for this establishment is that of the older, whiter and richer community.  Granted, this club is in the heart of Carmel Valley, so I guess I am the fish out of water here.

Lack of younger, middle-class, non-Anglo constituents notwithstanding, the food here is just ridiculous.  I would gladly subject myself to being the only brown person in a sea of cougars and fat cats just to partake in their tapas menu.  Of note, the skirt steak frites were just the perfect shade of rare, and the wild mushroom ravioli was quite delicious.  However, the tapas item that just killed it was the club m bacon fries.  If you love the hog, then definitely order a side of these with your beer.  You will not be disappointed.

The other reviews offer a good synopsis of what this place caters to, and I will have to agree.  This is an excellent place to go if you enjoy a more refined club atmosphere.  The live bands are a nice touch, and the food there is (almost) worth the 10 dollar mandatory valet fee.

I would probably never return here during normal "clubbing hours", but I could see myself noshing on those darn bacon fries during an afternoon sports bar session.

    Interesting establishment...
This is review just for the lounge, not for a restaurant.

Came here on Saturday night to check out a new venue/lounge in Carmel Valley.

Well, i don't know where to begin.
Its located in Grad Del Mar hotel, beautiful location, good concept for a fancy lounge but its not for people who like to go out to downtown or if you under certain age group.

There is valet parking only for $10 or you can drive to self-parking and then walk for a few minutes.

Walking into the main room i heard top 90s hits blasting thru the speakers, a woman in her late 40s dancing on elevated stage in capri pants and flip flops.
Flocks of women sitting in groups.. looking around for a pray to snatch. Women to men ratio - 80% to 20%.

Crowd: north county housewives, cougars, people who are staying in the hotel.

hmm... the place is pretty nice. It is in Del Mar, so expect it to be 30% more expensive than any place in San Diego.
Older crowd. So, if you are in your 20s, skip it (unless you're a gold-digger).
I was confused by the combination of a hip hop music and a crowd in their 40s-50s. It was quite unusual to see it blended.

Had dessert: key lime pie and the banana creme brulee. Each was $9, creme brulee large enough to share. Former was quite good. The banana was interesting, wished was bit sweeter.

    Very attentive, friendly staff.

Was fairly empty this Thursday night (8-10 pm). Andy Dick happened to be there and he got on stage for some impromptu singing. Which was enjoyed considerably one table of women (late 30s/early 40s?).

Valet parking is now $10 (not $5). And couldn't avoid it; didn't see self parking area.

What a beautiful place!  You know your in for something special just on the drive up to the property.  Amazing views, stunning landscapping leading to the club....A little hard to find the club, as the signage sucks.  But the faint sounds of a live band from the parking lot area, led us to club M.  The live band Mark Fulton and company were amazing as usual.  The staff were super friendly, attentive, and the drink prices reasonable.  I would Highly recommend this place

It's much easier to get back into the SD singles scene as a female. Any bar that women go out to post breakup there's a much higher chance of flattery/drinks being bought by the opposite sex, while guys have to relearn how to talk to prospects before getting back into the swing of things.

Well male Stellas... I've found the perfect bar for you to get your groove back! Club M is filled with ladies, and the type that you really don't need to have any sort of mojo to strike up flirtatious conversation with. Call them what you want...cougars, desperate housewives, divorceez, if you're ego is bruised from a bad breakup the prescription you need is waiting for you in this bar located in the Grand Del Mar Hotel.

It's a tad pricey and you might want to snazz it up a bit as the location definitely calls for something a little more GQ than PB or the Gaslamp. Regardless, you have the Thirsty Wursty guarantee that throughout the night you'll at least get a drink bought for you or a wink that will have you on the road to back-in-the-game recovery.

They've got a live band as well so grab a drink and make someone's night (as well as yours) by cutting a rug with some stranger who's not going to care how bad of a dancer you are.

The way I see it after heartbreak you can either sit at home and sulk, or go to Club M. Trust me Club M is a helluva lot more fun.

I really would have had no reason to come here at all, being as I had never heard of it before, except that Club M was the venue for a gathering of alumni to watch the Big Game (and a great one at that). After a long trip of missed trains, a bus ride with that smelled reminiscent of downtown Santa Cruz (not pleasant in case you are wondering), biking and getting rained on, and then a ridiculous cab fare because we went to the wrong place, I was in anything but a pleasant mood when I arrived (an hour late) at Club M.

Thoroughly hungry, thirsty, and frustrated with my situation, having missed the free appetizers and initial mingling, I made my way to the bar where I was promptly acknowledged and provided with a menu and a glass refill of water (I had grabbed one as I walked in). I decided on their Ahi & Watercress Salad with a rum & coke. In addition to being spot on what I needed after my ridiculous adventure, the rum & coke was delicious and did the job perfectly in catching me up with my fellow alum. In all of the excitement of the game, the harmonious flavor of the salad was a bit more subtle, but certainly not absent.

What really earns the fourth star from me here though was the staff. First of all, in spite of the club being completely full, my water glass was never empty -no matter how fast I drank it. Second, they maintained a clever wit. Just as the bar tender was reading back to me my order, the Cardinal scored (again), and so he finished with "and a celebratory rum & coke, got it". So having enjoyed Club M enough to lose all evidence of the pangs I endured to get there in the first place, I think that makes me a new fan.

And lastly, "Beat Cal" -yeah, these guys know how to pander too.

I like this place. The potato chips are made fresh in house. They are excellent! Funny thing to lead with, but they are great. The braised short rib red pepper risotto is a dish I will order again. It is rich, but worth the sin.

The place itself is nice, comfortable seating. It's the kind of place that makes you want to chill with a friend and drink lots of tea. Go.

They deserve five stars, but the unbelievably unfriendly valet we experienced makes me have to give it 4.

The venue is right out of a picture book of Europe. Indoor seating is somewhat sports barish, but the outdoor seats are like a European bistro, overlooking the lush green Grand Del Mar golf course.

Our waiter was super friendly and refreshingly honest. We asked which was better between the homemade french fries or homemade chips and he said, "it depends on who cooks them." I LOVE that!

Turns out the cook who made better chips was working and our waiter asked him to make them without overfrying and they were AMAZING! We all had a hard time stopping from devouring every one!

The housemade tortilla chips and salsa were equally awesome, as was the guac and salsa.

My wife had a chicken and brie panini that was just average, and I had some really good fish tacos. Probably the best grilled fish tacos I've had in San Diego.

One of our part had the hamburger and said it was his second favorite that he had ever had, an enormous compliment from him, as he's quite the burger snob!

The salad was delicious as well, but maybe with a little too much dressing.

We were all too full for dessert, but we will definitely be back. This is a real find and a very much needed addition to Amaya (also at Grand Del Mar) which has a very limited and so-so menu for lunch.

The only downside was that getting in all four of our party, each of whom had a separate car, had a bad experience with the valet. This is shocking at Grand Del Mar, because the valets at the hotel and at Addison are amazing in their ability to remember you and in how warm and friendly they always are.

Not so for us that day Club M. The valet was downright scary. He was not forthcoming in getting to the car, waved one of our part on with a grumpy command to self-park and then tossed the keys to my wife and her friend when they came out of the restaurant to leave.

Maybe he had a bad day, but he ranks as the single worst valet experience we've collectively had. Nonetheless, you should brave through him and try this delicious spot!

Heard radio ad for new football sunday spot, club/lounge at Grand Del Mar, Club M.  Place is excellent.  Beautiful grounds, easy parking, nice atmosphere.  Bar area has 3 TV''s, Club area has 4-5 GIANT TV's. All w/ NFL games.  Food is very good, and not overly priced despite how fancy the hotel and other on premises restauarnts are. Breakfast til 11 AM, then lunch menu.  Staff was super friendly and service was excellent.  Will be back for sure.
