It's just not my scene....so I'm trying not to let that bias my review too much.
You'll meet a colorful crowd here on some nights. It gets busy but the staff is well equipped to deal with it. I've never seen anything too outrageous happen here. I've been here when it's nearly empty and when it's packed to the rafters.
The DJ is usually pretty engaging and having fun with the people in the club. I've never felt "unsafe" here, even when I'm alone...some of the bars in Burlington I have felt uncomfortable as a young woman alone. There are OK drink specials some night, depending on what you want. It's a little loud, and often smells stale. It's fun every so often though...
Meh is about right. I've been dancing here a few times on retronome nights because there aren't a lot of options for dancing in Burlington. My most recent 90s night adventure was pretty good, but that was more to do with the people I went with than the "club" itself. Drinks are affordable and my G&Ts were only $5 that night. Nice and strong, too, unlike Higher Ground. The DJ was okay, and 90s night meant 90s and early 00s, but hey, it was fun. It wasn't super packed when I got there at 11:30ish, but it was getting that way around 12:30. By 1:30, when we left, it was a serious mess. Sloppy drunk people everywhere making bad life choices and almost throwing up on a friend of mine. Bad times.
If you want to get your dance on, and you are stuck in Burlington, it's not a terrible choice. It's not an awesome one, but you won't overpay for your drinks and the DJ will at least be okay. The other people in club are totally hit or miss. Sometimes it's college d-bag central, sometimes it's not.
Kind of smelly. Decent acoustics. Got in for free, that was a plus.
It's a pretty cool spot, I just got a weird vibe being here.
The stage is small, but big enough for 3-4 people with a drum set, so not so bad.
There are couches which is a plus.
There is food, which I think is cool. I didn't have any but when you're drinking your brains out listening to guy on a banjo, you may want some french fries.
Who knows
