We recently went to the Copper Monkey for my husband's birthday. Â There were several of us that paid the 22.95 for pizza, drinks and laser tag. Â That price was pretty great.
The service though, was something to be desired. Â We had to ask them multiple times just to get some pitchers of soda and water. Â When we finally did, it was just one pitcher of soda and a couple of water. Â The pizza seemed to take over an hour and a half to come out after ordering (they weren't that busy either). I kind of figured that gratuity would be added to the bill because of how many people we had in our group, I will state that the gratuity was definitely not deserved in this case.
I was a server years ago, and I worked my rear off to make sure my guests were happy. Â I was very disappointed with the service we received. Â Will not recommend this place to anyone.
I give this place a 5 star due to the wait staff and employees! They were super duper friendly and helpful!
We went here on Saturday March 17th ( St Patty's Day!) We ordered green beers and a bunch of appetizers. The waiter told us we get 5 free games if your order totals $100. which was no so hard due to our party of 9 people. I loved the cajun tatter tots!
We had s much fun running around the inter galactic looking obstacle course and shooting beams at our opponents!
Our team won!!!! YAY!
Welll if you have any type of coupon such as the entertainment book coupon don't show them in advanced because they will say they are out of anything that is of quality there. HORRIBLE service and tasteless food.. TWO THUMBS DOWN!!! Dont waste your time or money! I CAN SEE WHY THE JOINT WAS EMPTY!
Review Source:We went today and all of us got hamburgers and tots and mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers. I thought the food was decent bar food for sure and then we went over to the arcade after we ate. I got the BBQ Bleu Cheese Burger and the burger was good - onion rings were not. They weren't terrible, just really bland and tasteless. The burger had a good flavor and the bartender/server was really nice. He came and checked on us pretty frequently and made sure we had everything and had a nice, familiar attitude towards us. My only thing is possibly backing off a little (sitting down at my table while I am ordering is unnecessary). Other than that, we had a great time and then we went and played some games. It was good!
Review Source:What the heck WAS that smell?
Whatever it was, I didn't like it. I also didn't like the beer selection, the food, or the complete lack of customer service.
The only thing I *did* like was the free WiFi. Otherwise I'd give the Copper Monkey ... zero stars. (Oh wait, one *is* the lowest.)
I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. Â We went there last week for the first time to spend the day laser tagging and eating. Â While the kids were in the game room, we ordered a Monkey pizza, a medium pizza, and a sandwich. Â 30 min. later, the waitress came over and told us they didn't have any dough "proofed" yet for the day (it was NOON!) and would take an hour. Â Ok...but where's the sandwich? Â So, we ordered burgers and sandwiches w/ fries. Â It took 40 additional minutes to get 3 burgers and 2 sandwiches. The sandwich that was ordered over an hour ago had apparently been sitting in the window the whole time because the bread was dried out and turned upward. Â We complained about the bread so she went to have the sandwich remade...it took 20 minutes. Â Did I mention that there was only one other family in there at the time??? I asked for some mayo, as the sandwich was dry. Â We ended up going up to the kitchen to get it ourselves. Â Soda refills? Â Forget it. Â After all this trouble, they did comp the "old" sandwich in the end, $6.75. Â
The laser tag was great. Â I'd still never, EVER try to eat at this establishment again though. Â In fact, I'm looking into finding a laser place closer to home as we drove 54 miles to get here. Â Bleh.
Ok, Ok, I know picking somplace to eat because it's in the entertainment book isn't the way to set expectations. Â In all fairness, their ad didn't say it was attached to Lasersport, but next to. Â Yeah I know 2nd warning sign. Â But in todays economy, we were trying to save a litle money, boy did we pay for it. Â On the plus side, salad plates were chilled, and the place was clean. Â On the negative side, we had to go get our own menus and silverware. Â Even with that the server didn't know we were there till the bartender pointed us out and even then she seemed more interested in her friend at the bar then anything else. Â Â The food ... well bland is the best description . Â We got the fish and chips no chips sub salad with blue cheese, and the swiss bacon alfredo. Â Did I say bland already? Â Â Presentation was fine, product was fine, Â service and taste...not so much.
In final thought, if you're next door playing laser tag, sweaty, starving, thirsty, and weak after having fun by all means wander in and blow some bucks, but you'll probably be better off going down the road, anywhere down the road.
