Alas, this former 4 star destination for a signature salad and a side soup is no more. It was also notable for its Freestyle pop machine. Clark and Lake is now the "closest" Cosi.

Below average service and breakfast options.  The bananas weren't ripe, my muffin came straight from the fridge, so it was cold and clammy, and the cashier also forgot our coffee.  At least it wasn't crowded.

Had a lovely lunch with my ladies there today. I ate the Adobo Lime Chicken Salad which was delicious but nothing exceptional. This place is akin to Panera and Corner Bakery, nothing more. It's good and reasonably priced for what you get but I won't be craving it any time soon.

My cousin and I practically lived at Cosi while in Chicago. It was right down the street from our hotel and it seemed to be open whenever we were hungry. Cosi is very cozy, especially when you order the s'mores; you can build them yourself and roast them over a tiny fire. How perfect is that!

Been twice. Both times were exactly the same. Good food. Expensive for what it is. Incredibly slow service. INCREDIBLY SLOW. I ordered a hot sandwich that took 10-15 minutes to receive each time.

If you have enough time, and enough money...this is a great sandwich/salad alternative for lunch.

They also have a soda machine from the future. If you drink soda...you must stop by.

Great flatbread pizza. Reasonable prices. Great people/service. A great place to grab a nice meal during the day while shopping on Michigan Ave. Very similar to a Panera or Atlanta Bread Company.

I wandered in out of the rain today after seeing a film at the nearby Loew's theater. I had some time to kill before meeting some friends.

I loved the look of the place; like a comfy coffee shop that served a lot more than coffee. Big cozy chairs and coffee tables by the windows, as well as the traditional smaller tables. Pleasantly surprised that it wasn't so crowded, either.

The menu is extensive and affordable. I ordered a soup and salad combo. The Signature salad was quite good - with plump cranberries, apples, nuts and gorgonzola. The portion was just right, too. Many times portions are so large I wind up taking food with me, which is not always practical. The clam chowder was some of the best I've ever had. My only complaint is that it should have been a bit warmer -- but I was hungry and didn't want to wait -- so I ate it at the slightly lower temperature than I would have preferred.

I'll be going back to sample the other soups and salads, for sure. And probably the sandwiches and pizza, as well.

    S'MORES!

So this was the THIRD Cosi I went to yesterday in search of the s'mores I had heard so much about. The ones downtown that I went to didn't have them (or maybe they just didn't have them at lunch).

Our actual experience with the s'mores was great! Cosi has a cute wooden tray with slots for the chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers. Apparently you could also order s'moreos and have oreos instead of graham crackers, but that was going a little too far for me. For a fun evening out with my husband it was a nice treat for us to share as we roasted our marshmallows over the little fire pot provided.

As far as this location goes, it was INCREDIBLY slow. Once we put our order in we sat and chatted for about 10-15 minutes before I started to wonder what was going on. There was only a few other people sitting around the place, and they already had their orders so I was wondering if they had forgotten about us. The staff was just sloooooowly cleaning up around their stations, shuffling around. My husband had to actually go up there and remind then that we had ordered some s'mores, because our order HAD been forgotten. I have no idea how, they weren't busy at all.

So I'm glad we finally got our Cosi s'mores, but I won't be going back to this location. I'm sure I can find a better one if I ever have that insane s'mores craving again!

I used to work nearby and Cosi was on my way to the red line.  I don't know how I always forgot how unimpressed I was with this overpriced place, but I ended up eating here more times than I care to remember.  I mean, the food isn't horrible and the service is ok, but good lord, if I was going to spend 15 bucks on lunch, I would have gone to a sit-down restaurant.  Skip this place and go to Jimmy Johns.

I have continued to frequent this Cosi location and am continuously let down. It is like I forget how extremely unsatisfying it is. They keep changing the logistics and everytime I've walked in, it is different. Talk about confusing! The staff isn't very helpful and the quality of food is quite low (especially with how much you end up paying). I once found a chicken bone in my food! Gross!! I would not recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of other, better cafe-style fast food restaurants within walking distance.
