I'm not big on trying new pizza places, but after several attempts to order online at Hungry Howie's, I gave up.
So, I just got back from eating at Serious Pie in Seattle. Â I'm trying to be fair, since that place was unbelievable. Â I'm going to only comment on the things that make sense for a chain pizza place.
- Delivery was very, very fast. Â Granted, I ordered at a light time on a Saturday.
- The "Deep Dish" really isn't. Â But it's still very tasty. Â I don't know why I picked Deep Dish. Â It's never a good choice at a chain, because a real Deep Dish takes about 30-35 minutes to cook through, and this particular Medium Bacon/Ham Pizza is a little doughy in the middle (though, not REALLY doughy, just a little :o) ...)
Aside from the slightly undercooked center (and I stress the slightly), the crust is great, the topping coverage is very good and the taste is also very good.
The Medium is a little smaller than I expected but I'm not sure that'd be the case if I ordered thin crust or regular.
Either way, I'll certainly try this place out again. Â The online ordering was a little "state of the art circa 2006", but who cares? Â It was very simple to navigate and I had no issues.
