Country Kitchen

Love this place.  We just moved to the area so we have been visiting all the local restaurants and we went here for lunch and loved it.  I am British so i loved the Americana feel to it.

What really made it great, though  was our waitress.  She was so lovely.  I wish i remembered her name so i could give her a shout out.  She recommended the turkey burger to my husband and he was glad she convinced him, it was just as tasty as she said it would be.  She was really good at making recommendations that we ended up enjoying.  She did a bunch of things that were above and beyond, in my opinion.  The fact that the food was good too made it 5 stars for me.  

Definitely like that it's kid friendly too as we have a baby and like to find places we can bring her without annoying the other diners.  Love everything about this place.

Good food.  It can sometimes be pretty busy and despite the details saying that they accept credit cards, they do not.

This breakfast/lunch diner is a typical small town diner...except that it is in Highland Park. Food is good and served hot and delicious. Service can be a bit spotty.
One major downside...THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH!! In today's age, and considering costs for meals, this can be a huge turn-off and business killer, but they seem to be doing alright.
Worth the trip and cash hassle.
