Cozy Inn boasts having the coldest beer in town and I have to say I agree!
I don't recall having such a frosty beer in recent memory. So refreshing. They have a nice selection of tabs including lots of local brews. I had a Mac and Jack's and it hit the spot.
The bar is the definition of a dive but I mean that in the most positive way possible. It's casual, friendly, and has a porch with a view of Lake Washington.
From 3-7pm pints are only $3!
They have just a few food items including frozen pizza so if you're hungry you may want to grab something before or just plan on snacking here.
They have pool tables and pool tabs. Beer and wine only.
The owners are very friendly. The outside isn't much to look at but don't let that deter you. Give it a try!
This is easily my favorite bar in the Kenmore area. They always have great craft beer on tap and reasonable prices. You really can't beat their pool tables and playing Buck Hunter either. The only thing I do wish is that they had a larger selection of food (they have chips and oven pizzas).
Review Source:Let's get this out of the way first: FINALLY ANOTHER LOCATION WHERE I CAN FIND BOUNDARY BAY THAT ISN'T BELLINGHAM! Â Huzzah! Â Best part? Â Since I live in Edmonds, I don't have to go all the way into Seattle either! Â My first experience at Cozy was great and I'll definitely be returning. Â For one, it was a Sunday? Â Weekday? Â So it was pretty relaxed, and there were only a few people in there shooting pool. Â And they had AMAZING music taste. Â If there's one thing I enjoy, other than catching a brewski, it's a relaxing night with good music and pool. Â The view, from what I could see, was pretty dang good, and they have free wifi!
Review Source:The Cozy is pretty cool---good bartenders, great view, good beer selection. Â For the most part, decent patrons, too. Â Good place to kickback, look at Lake Washington, and sip on a beer. Â Being able to drink and smoke at the same time and have a view to look at is pretty awesome in my book. Â Pool definitely takes precedent here, but out of the 3 tables, only one is really good...the rest are so-so.
Review Source:John, the Bartender SUCKS!!! Do not go here!!!!!!! Â My husband dropped me off here on the way home from a family event when both kids were screaming to get a beer and calm down...... Â I was looking forward to a beer while my husband put the children to sleep and John interpreted stressed out mother as drunk and couldn't finish the one beer I ordered so he took it away while I played a game of pool!!!!!! Seriously if you think this is a place to go to unwind, DON'T!!!!!!!!!
Review Source:When it comes to dive bars, I don't look for much except for 2 things: cheap tap and pool tables. No pool table? No Gracie. This place has quite a few tables for less than a buck a game. If I remember correctly, games are free the majority of the day on Sundays.
ps: John, the main bartender, is a sweetheart!
I'm here often after work, Usually roll in around 1am, play a game of pool and drink a Boundary Bay IPA or two... huge tap selection.... awesome slanted floor with non slanted pool tables... kinda feels like the place is gonna fall off the side of the hill, but  it gives it some charm and I've been going awhile now.. Its sturdy. Friendly bartenders,  John is a good enough reason alone to come.  No one usually gets crazy drunk cause it's just beer and wine that's available.  A very "Cheers" sort of feel, if you go in a few times, everyone's gonna know your name... and if you don't suck, we'll be glad ya came.
Review Source:Okay, what was said by others is pretty true, however I didn't think they had a very huge selection. The bar tender was nice. I drank souvignon blanc for 4 dollars a glass and saw that it was 2 buck chuck from Trader Joes, you should not charge more for a glass than what the bottle is worth.. I felt ripped off. Don't get me wrong, I understand that people need to make money but I mean, COME ON. It's cool that they have a smoking deck for people, but the view is just a huge shed with boats stacked on top o eachother, kind of an eye sore. I think i only liked this place at the time because I had a few drinks in me. They need a full bar.
Review Source:I like a good dive as much as the next person but I also like a good beer as much as the next person and from the looks of this place, I was expecting to end of with a warm can of Rainier. Â Imagine my shock when I saw what they had on tap! Â Boundary Bay, 9lb porter, Iron Horse IPA, Deschutes and on and on. Â
The other thing that made this place awesome was the bartender. Â I was with friends who I hadn't seen in a while and we kept changing our minds about what we were going to order and my friend from out of town wanted to try everything and the bartender would have been well within his rights to tell us to shut up and go away. Â He didn't, though - he just waited patiently for us to come to a decision. Â Of course I immediately spilled half my beer and he just laughed and gave me a rag to clean it up with. Â
I wish this place was closer to the city but I guess we can't have all the good stuff. Â Lucky for me my friend lives about half a mile away. Â I'll hopefully be back soon!
This is the best upscale-dive I know of. Â Yes, it qualifies as a dive, but its not all depressing like some dives can be, and you have a true wide range of regulars from local Kenmorons (Kenmore trash), to local lawyers and CPA's, and a bunch of blue collar working class in between. Â (I would say the vast majority of the clientele base is in either construction or the service industries.) Â This means everyone can fit it!
Now, the three (well kept) pool tables are my biggest attractor, as I go out to play pool, and you can usually find at least one solid competitor, if not five, to shoot a few games with. Â They have 20 lockers for patron's personal pool cues, if that says anything... they're $40 for a lifetime, but good luck getting one!!
Don't like pool? Â Well there's plenty of seating both inside or out on the back deck (where you can enjoy the view, and take your beer with you to go smoke a cigarette), so you can chat it up with your friends, or the old school chums from back in the day.
And for the gamers, PGA Tour and Big Buck Hunter Pro are on hand, as well as the Twilight Zone pinball machine, just in case you have A.D.D. and get bored easily! Â :)
The digital/download jukebox has a solid non-download selection to start off with (the cheaper songs), which is something I can always appreciate.
But note, this is a true tavern... only beer and wine, and a limited food selection... no kitchen, so its Tombstone pizzas (cheap and better than at home!), popcorn, pork rinds, chips, beef sticks, pickled eggs... you get the idea. Â And be a champ and try the pickled eggs! Â They are some of the best you can find in Seattle! Â Seriously, some customers come back because of the pickled eggs... Â
But the beer, that's why most will go there. Â Great selection of micros, and a few domestics to keep "them" happy, and all at cheap prices ($3.75 for a micro pint, $11 for a 4-pint micro pitcher!).
If the Cozy weren't up in Kenmore, it would be packed every night, but luckily it manages to stay somewhat under the radar, and only gets "packed" a couple nights a week. Â Its rare to wait more than a minute for a beer, and its usually easy to hop on a pool table. Â What more can you ask for??
I've been going to the Cozy with my friends since we were of age, so about 8 years now. It's one of the best watering holes on the Eastside that's not filled with a bunch of Tommy Hilfigger, white hat wearing douchebags.
The name is spot-on, it's a cozy place with good beer, a kickass jukebox and 3 pool tables. There's also some pinball and arcade games as well as darts in the back.
The staff is always great and right on top of things when your beer's getting low.
The deck out back has an amazing view of Lake Washington with the Kenmore Air harbour right below it. On a Summer evening, this is the place to kick back, have a few and watch a game.
