The mash potatoes were not "real" potatoes - the meat loaf was bland and looked more like it was pieced together rather than a slice - the corn muffins were bitter.
I can't believe the "chef" (person who reheats the frozen meal) would allow a plate that bad come out of the kitchen but when the waitress puts it down and looks for an appreciative smile. But it wasn't MY choice to eat here, and I do respect elderly relatives without taste buds who can gum their food.
My dear aunt and uncle live in Canada, but whenever they come to the States they always rave about this place. So when we met up for a wedding they took us here. WOW!!! Awesome menu and great prices. Very filling meal and plenty of leftovers. I had the Coca-Cola cake, which doesnt taste like you think it would, and it was great. On other trips east we have made it a point to stop at any Cracker Barrel close.
Review Source:good food, great service.
On a road trip, I left my daughters winter coat at this indiana Cracker Barrel. I only realized it was at cracker barrel when we where back home in northern vermont. I asked if I could somehow pay them to ship the coat back to me.
They sent the coat back to me on the house.
Not only that, I think this is more than one nice manager. The manager said she had to call someone at corporate to see what to do about shipping the coat.
For thier great service they have one me over as a customer.
unfortunately, I think the nearest cracker barrel is in Boston four hours away.
