I like coming here occasionally to catch a Thunder game or enjoy a meal with friends.I prefer to sit outside since the restaurant is small and it feels stuffy inside. If the temp is low, they turn on the fire pit and you can pull your stool up to the fire. They have added several more flat screens on the patio since the last time I was here. Now there are about 5 TVs outside.

The menu isn't very large but everything I've tried has been very good. Portions are big and prices aren't too bad. Alcohol menu is also limited but enough to keep everyone happy. They have large beer dispensers you can order which can be shared by everyone at the table.

Service is hit or miss, just depends on who you get. However, I've always had a great time when I'm here.

Deep Deuce is a great spot to hang out. I like coming here to visit friends that work downtown and want to grab dinner or after a Thunder or Barons game. The food is great (lobster roll is a must if you like seafood) and they have some good specials on beers, granted they do not have a huge selection like other places around. I enjoy the fire pit outside and the fact that it is not right in the heart of Bricktown is a huge plus. Usually very busy on the weekends or event nights and cozy during those nights, the staff makes a great effort to get everyone taken care of; never have felt ignored even once.

If you like pub atmosphere and you haven't been to Deep Deuce, you have to try it.

Deep Duece Grill is located in the historic Jazz district in downtown Oklahoma City. It is located within the newly renovated apartment complexes and is a block or so from bricktown. The highlights of Deep Duece grill are that it has a very nice fire place outside to sit around and have a beer with your friends, tv's are also outside. Inside you have a regular bar along with tables for dinning.

The food is good, it has the typical food you would expect from a bar (hamburgers, hot wings, etc), but it also has some surprises, like a buffalo burger! Also although I have not tried it myself, they have this way of serving beer where it is a long plastic tube with a tap on it for you to take however much of your alchoholic beveage that you choose. Also they give you plastic cups that you can take home with you as a souvenier

If your headed to downtown OKC and need a place to grab a bite to eat or want to grab a drink before an event give Deep Duece a try!

I came here after an OU game with some friends. They served us towers of beer (108oz, I believe) and we snacked on some nachos and loaded waffle fries. The snackes were really good, though they were after a lot of beer.

Fun interior with exposed brick walls. Outside has a fire pit and a separate bar. Service was quick and friendly. I will happily return on my next visit.

Beer Towers = AWESOME for groups, cheaper, and more fun

Mac and Cheese with Chicken = DELISH (Pro-tip: get the lite portion with chicken and its the same price as the regular portion without chicken)

Doc Wood Painkiller - basically Bacardi 151 in a frozen smoothie, gets you drunk in a sec!

Loaded Waffle Fries - bacon, sour cream, cheese, and crispy waffle fries!

Pittsburgh Steak - steak steak steak, great sandwich

Service is really good even when they're busy. Definitely recommended. Prices can be a bit high, but it's not ridiculous

The food was good but the joint smelled bad. Good wait staff & quick service...just hard to eat in a room that smells like urine.

I had the philly cheese, which I really enjoyed. Wife & three friends ordered the tacos. "too much salt" was a common complaint. I thought the pickled okra on the house salad was a nice touch. My lunch was good, though the rest of the group seemed to weigh the aroma of the venue more heavily.

I'd come back if it didn't smell so bad :/

Send me a message that says, "It doesn't smell like urine anymore," and I will bring a group by during lunch hour.

Excellent food and great service! Deep Deuce has the best patio in downtown. They have new TV's on the patio which makes it the perfect place to watch a Thunder game! Deep Deuce even has free parking and a shuttle to the arena with great drink and food specials. I will definitely be going back soon!

    Dear Waiter,
Sorry to use such a generic term-- I didn't get the chance to catch your name.  I know we came out on St. Patrick's Day, and you let us know right off the bat (you know, 20 minutes after we arrived) that it got 'crazy around 6', but to us it looked like a typical Saturday.  I also realized that we asked for a lot (a pitcher plus a few beers and one entree), and thus you couldn't possibly bother to bring us refills or even napkins.  We apologize that we didn't do what it takes to get service (buy you shots like the table next to us), but at a bare minimum, it would've been nice to have been checked in on every 30 minutes or so.  At the end, you of course let us know that you were sorry and it had been a crazy night, so all was forgiven!

    Sincerely,

    Never Going Back

I know I am being hard on one waiter on a tough night, but there were 3 different servers (and at least one potential manager) on the patio that night, and no one offered to bring us a refill or check on the meal.  My husband finally went to the bar so that we could have another round, and the bartender was lovely.  I'm fairly certain a porta-potty would've been cleaner than the restrooms there-- all in all, I was incredibly disappointed.  Love the fire pit & the location, but I really don't know what would make me go back.

Deep Deuce Grill has so much potential; I just want it to better! As it is, it is fine and with all the development going on in Deep Deuce, there will probably be enough foot traffic from folks living in the area to keep afloat. But I think it could be a true gem with a little love. Indulge me my unsolicited advice, but if I could host one of those kitchen take over shows, I'd want a shake at this one.

I'd start with a deep clean to get rid of the smell of stale grease. I'd change up the menu to make it feel less like a Louie's and more like what it really is: a great space in a very cool up-and-coming neighborhood. I'd make sure every single item on the menu was up to snuff, and if not, I'd 86 it forever.

Case in point: I had the tomato soup and grilled cheese. The bowl of soup was more like a pot of soup, but I would have absolutely taken quality over quantity. It was supposed to be chunky but came out lumpy, and this was not the kind of expected irregularity you get from a homemade soup. The unnecessary addition of cheese made the soup stringy (not to mention hard to eat gracefully) upon melting. I never did figure out the texture, and as a result left most of it in the big black pot in whence it came. Why not just a perfect, clean, fresh tomato soup of discernible origin? Why the mystery? Why the lumpy?

On the other hand, our service was good, our food was served quickly and warm, and refills were provided; our server even offered to go cups. If we hadn't been lingering to finish our conversation, we could have gotten in and out in a true lunch 'hour'.

This is definitely not a foodie destination, and does not aspire to be. But even as pub and grill fare, it missed the mark for me. However, my dining companions enjoyed their food: a burger and a Caesar salad, respectively. I think I ordered poorly, but on the perfect menu, that just wouldn't be possible.

This place has character and has massively improved in the last year and a half or so thanks to new management and I think new ownership.  They redecorated, revamped the menu (try the tacos or the 5 by 5 sandwich), and have done some work on the outside patio.

The food here will not knock your socks off, but I think it is good.  We drive from near NW OKC downtown just to eat here and take in the ambiance.  The ambiance will not floor you, but it's VERY cool and a nice change of pace from the usual strip mall establishments OKC has been cursed with the last 20 years until the last few years.  The parking is free, the patio is a lot of fun.

And to the person up top that complained about a 20 top table- come on man.  Don't have 20 people at your table.

I've had at least decent service every time I've been recently.  The last time I went we were outside when it was crowded and we got very good service.

The only quibble is that the beer prices aren't that great.

Good food, horrible service... unless you sit at the bar.

The first time I went, I sat at the bar, and didn't really have anything to complain about. But I just got one beer and that was it.
The next time I was there, I sat outside with a group of 20. Which is a big group, I know, but shouldn't a restaurant be ready for something like that? Our waiter was horrible and politely rude to us (you know, those people that call everyone "hon" and "sweetie" but say whatever that wants to come out of their mouth).

My little story if you want to read on: Our waiter told us they were "full and busy" inside, and that my food was "coming" for an hour. When I finally went to go tell him that I didn't want my food anymore, I saw that they were maybe 1/4 full inside. And when I told they guy that I didn't want my food anymore, he said, "Sweetie, I'm sure it's ready to go," and it just miraculously appeared from the kitchen.

    The food was good, though.

This place is wonderful! The food was outstanding and the service was quick. Between the three of us, we ordered a Deep Deuce Burger, Chicken Tacos, Buffolo Chicken Wrap, Mac & Cheese and Haystack Onions. The appetizer was to die for...white cheese with just the right amount of spice over chips. ALL the food was fabulous!! Thanks for a great meal!

I ate dinner here last week. The bartender recommended the Pittsburgh steak sandwich, which I ordered. The meat was pretty gristley and that was kind of yucky. The bartender was in the back a lot of the time. Yeah, it was a weeknight and slow, but one person came in and sat at the bar for a while and no bartender... after a while that person left before the bartender returned from the back room. I just was not impressed... There are other better options nearby...

Great place for Lunch or after work with friends. But I just recently ate dinner there with some friends and the appetizers and beer was great but my 10oz Ribeye steak was small like a breakfast steak, I could have done better if I went to IHOP. I was so disappointed that this tiny thin piece of meat (not cooked medium rare) that I considered getting a burger and not eating it. But I ate it and there was really no flavor and told a manager who discounted it (was 17.95) paid $9.00 not sure it was even worth that. I would recommend going great atmosphere and good appetizers and a nice patio. Bar is smoke free but the patio is not. I would not recommend dinner there.  I gave it 3 stars becasue I do like the apps and beer and its not far from work.

One star for the burgers. Thats all. Damn fine burgers at that... . . . .but thats it.... . . .. ..  .  .  dont waste your money on anything else on the menu. The manager and the cooks should be ashamed. Fix it!

$6.50 for a Guiness or $6 for a Stella... .  me thinks not.        -1 star

Trying to pawn off 3.2% Bud Light as a "Special"  ....boo.       -2 stars

Last but not least I must give a negative shout-out to the 40-something divorcée clientèle that stinks up the (what would be nice) patio with their Virgina Slims and vulgar language. But to give them some credit, you make the 'yuppie-20-something/my-fathers-a-doctor' douches that 'don't-know-how-to-act-in-public' tolerable.                                -1 star

Otherwise they have a nice location and good servers... . . . time will tell if they can cash in on the locations potential.

I tend to do business lunches here out of convenience, and I've also made a couple of evening stops on the patio for cocktails and conversation. Regarding lunch, it's not bad, but the service level leaves something to be desired (NOTE: if you read my reviews and find recurring complaints about service, that's because I spent nearly ten years in the restaurant/nightclub industry across the US and I know what it takes to provide good service).  The tandoori burger was interesting in theory, but marginal in execution (the burger itself was good, though). The salmon's not bad, and the salad greens are usually fresh. All in all, I'll still be there for the average business lunch.

ARTIST RIDER FOR: "van ness d." (newly appointed yelp 'elite')

The Rider below outlines the personal preferences as outlined by the Artist.  The meal items are to give you an understanding of her tastes and to ensure that in the venue she is attending allowance is made to accommodate such preferences.

Thank you for your time and attention to these important details, which will ensure a more comfortable stay for the Artist and her entourage.

    Restaurant Requirements:
    - 2nd and 3rd to last seat of right side of bar for Artist and guest at dinner seating.
    - Tall 3 1/2 ft. high-back bar chairs upholstered with genuine dark brown leather.
    - Brand-new full bottles of Heinz ketchup, dijon mustard, salt and pepper already present at bar seating location.
    - Tap water served in large pint glass. (Room Temperature)
    - 2 Cocktails with Absolut Mandarin and Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice (NO EXCEPTIONS) with 5 cubes of ice and straws.
    - 2 White 400-thread count linen napkin roll-ups with 1 fork and 1 knife (must be polished, absolutely no water spots on the utensils).
    - Artichoke Dip made with fresh artichokes. (Serve very hot.) Accompany with 10 toasted pita triangles.
    - 1/2 lb. Hamburger (cooked Medium) with Blue Cheese (in crumbles), 2-3 strips of Bacon, exactly 1 tbsp. Hickory-Smoked Barbeque Sauce, and side of coleslaw for Artist.  Vlassic Pickle to accompany burger - NO SLICES INSIDE burger. (Meal for guest to be determined).
    - Artist also requests minimal conversation from bartender as she will be catching up with an old friend, but bartender must  remember to always address Artist as "ma'am".

*Artist's Mental Note to Self*:  I really need to give my personal assistant a raise.  She had everything I wanted and expected taken care of by the time I made my entrance into Deep Deuce.  Good help is so hard to find these days...Much less a good burger... Maybe I should give her a walk-on role in my next movie...?
