Dog House

Rupert is a competent bartender, and sometimes brings in Chili. The deer venison chili was pretty tasty. Some of the people are nice, but you also get the annoying local drunks. Late Saturday night brings out a few booze retards. Occasionally there is a girl bartender which improves the scenery considerably. The new juke box has plenty of selections but is expensive. The new owner, Lurch, does a great job of giving people the eyeball and making them feel uncomfortable, but does a terrible job of keeping the bar stocked with wine. The atmosphere is quite dated and boring. The place seriously needs of a makeover. It is small and dark, but the crowd can be diverse. About 90% of the time the place is boring as hell, but once in a while it gets a great crowd and can be a fun place to hang out and knock a few back.

Aside from the smell of emphysema in the air, this is one of the better dive bars I've been to. By "better", I mean that you won't find a dead rat in the bathroom trash can or have your clothes reek of Lysol when you leave because the permanent stench of vomit was desperately trying to be covered up. Not that I regularly hang out at dive bars ('cuz I'm a classy bitch, you know), but if my friends held me hostage and forced me to go to the Doghouse with them again, I think I'd be alright with it (minus smelling like a walking ashtray).

Best damn bar in the world.
