Firewood brick oven pizza? No wood, no bricks, at least they used fire and not a microwave like many pizza places in airports. The flavor was good, I liked that they don't have them ready, they won't cook it until you order it. They have thin crust that is actually crunchy!. It is a good pizza place, probably the best... At an airport!!
Review Source:I travel quite a bit for work. I discovered Firewood Cafe in OAK and have always enjoyed the chicken orator pizza. Â The catalyst for this review today was the incredible service I received today. Â Really friendly people. Â Really fast service. Â I will definitely come back whenever I fly international.
Review Source:What the. I was shocked to see this place has low reviews. Considering all the crap pile food options in all the airports I've been in, this is a win. I was lured by the smell of the cooking pizza & open woodfire oven.
They have pre-made sandwhiches and salads, but I opted for a margherita pizza as that tends to be my go to. I also got served up a double Vodka Cran and made my way to sit down while I waited. Less than 10 minutes later my pizza was ready! The crust was crunchy and crisp from the oven & the toppings were to perfection. I ate every little piece possible.
Good pizza, good drinks, good service and not horrifically pricey for the airport by any means.
