Really modern.

If you've never been to an Aloft hotel.. get your butt to one and check it out. The hotel is hip, modern and chic--after all, it is a vision of W hotels, and their w xyz bar definitely reflects that. There is a fireplace in the lounge area, various games scattered around, and a pool table by the bar. Upbeat music is usually played through the speakers

I came here a couple of times when they had live music in their lounge area, and it was nice and intimate. There were tons of people around (I'm not sure if they were hotel guests or outside happy hour goers like myself), and everyone was just grooving and vibing to great music.

Their happy hour specials are $2 off all drinks, and they have delicious signature cocktails, beer, well drinks and wine.

Parking is free for the first 2 hours and $3/hour after that.

Cool hotel, cool bar, love the live music and drinks.. I'll be back!

I enjoyed coming to the WXYZ Bar.  It's a very modern looking bar/lounge.  The vibe was good as was the background music.  The couches were very comfy.  My main beef was the total lack of service.  I ordered two drinks and the bartender had a difficult time comprehending my order as well as processing my payment.  I stood there waiting at the bar for a few minutes as she wrapped her mind around the complexity of a beer and wine order.  Keep in my mind I was the only one at the bar requesting a drink so she wasn't swamped... Later on the same bartender came by with my bill and I had to remind her that I had paid at the bar.  It was a slow Thursday night so obviously she has a short term memory issue or sadly she just isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.   The service aside, it's a great place to meet for drinks and the parking is validated for the 1st two hours.  After that $4 per hour, then $2 each additional hour.
