Andale Mexican Bar and Restaurant

Ate at the location in the international terminal. 3 hours to kill waiting for our flight to Bangkok and we were starving. The international terminal had very limited choices once we cleared security.
  We really wanted a sit down nice meal. We did not choose wisely. It was more than disappointing food. It was not even somewhat close to ok. That is based on an experience from a vegetarian (me) and carnivore (my man). Two thumbs down for food, atmosphere and service.
 Someone needs to fix that terminal. It's a shame that is what a great culinary city like SF offers their international travelers.

I've been eating at Andale since 1999 and had always enjoyed the food very much. But I'm writing a review and giving them one star only because I'm fed up with their carelessness and stinginess.

I appreciate the fact that they try to use organic and sustainable ingredients but the food quality is lacking. I don't appreciate that the last two times I've been  to the restaurant I've been served rancid tortilla chips. It's not only unhealthful but toxic. Tortilla chips are bad enough without the rancidity. I'm taking away one star for that.

I'm tired of the ever shrinking portions of beans and rice they serve with items like fish tacos. Give me a break, rice and beans are cheap to make, no need to serve such minuscule amounts. It's outrageous! One star taken away for stinginess.

And lastly, two more stars taken away for the not so fresh and stinky fish in my tacos and the awful smell of bleach coming from the mop being used to mop the floor while I was eating.  

I find it extremely offensive when someone uses chemicals around people. I also find it rude that the person cleaning the floor has no regard for the fact that we're eating and comes inches away from mopping my feet under the table.

When you are eating at the airport, this place is definitely a safe option. I had a mexican style breakfast wrap. Not too greasy and pretty tasty.
