I love BBQ! But unfort I was highly disappointed in this new place! I ordered the pulled pork dinner with Mac and. Cheese side cole slaw! The pulled pork was heavily heavily greasy and fatty and made it less enjoyable! The Mac and cheese was plain and typical and the slaw was good! I also had the opp to try the brisket and wings! The brisket was also greasy and heavy with fat but once you got to the meat it wasn't to bad.. I did not enjoy the wings at all, the place decor it

The food was a mix of great and okay. The BBQ nachos, fried grit balls, and ribs were very good. The mac and cheese was disappointing. It was gritty and the cheese was lumpy.

The location is great since it is near the water and the service at the bar was really good!

The waitstaff was really helpful and friendly. However, the downside to this place is when you first walk in. The host and hostess were really slow in answering general questions.  I'm not sure if it was because there were two of them and one thought the other was going to take action and say or do something but then no one did anything for a bit. It was weird. Later in the night I heard other people commenting on the same situation.

I would go back and recommend people give this place a chance. Food and drinks were good.  It's newly opened so I'm sure they will work out any minor issues soon.

At the former location of On The Waterfront, Double R Q Freestyle BBQ is located with a great view of the water thats where the nice factor ends.

The food is average nothing to really write home about I have the Baby Back Ribs with Cole Slaw and Mac and Cheese the ribs were at some parts tender and others dry which I attribute to being microwaved to a certain extent even after being BBQ'd.  The coleslaw was okay as was the mac and cheese.

The bar was well stocked and offered at least one single craft beer which is better than other places on the water in New Rochelle, and there drink selection of cocktails inspired by the 50's-2000's is a very nice concept.  The place was somewhat noisy but that is too be expected.

Overall it is about average for the area nothing too amazing but nothing awful either and its good for kids and groups and it does have a nice bar but there is definitely better BBQ around.
