My wife and I have been going to Maui for over 25 years. During our visits we always spend one night at the Drums of the Pacific Luau at the Hyatt Regency Maui. This June was no exception and the Luau is Maui's best.
The staff is well prepared for the crowds and very helpful and courteous. The food is good and plentiful and dinner includes and open bar. The wait staff were great about refilling your drink so you wern't forced to get up and wait in line.
After experiencing the Luau you will have enjoyed a great Hawaii tradition. The entertaiment is quite good and fast paced and the crowd really gets into the act.

Our extended family of 12, ranging in age from 7 to 77, recently enjoyed the Drums of the Pacific Luau at the Hyatt Regency Maui (Ka'anapali). Â They accommodated our large group easily. Â
The traditional Hawaiian music during dinner was terrific. Â The serving of the feast and open bar to hundreds of patrons went incredibly smooth. Â The food was delicious and Aloha beer was served. Â Our children enjoyed the fruit drinks and other adults enjoyed the mai tais, as well as other mixed drinks. Â The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. Â
The hostess of the show took us through a journey of Polynesian, Tahitian and other cultures and really gave that Aloha vibe that everyone looks for in Hawaii. Â The dancers made this the most memorable activity (except for my niece's wedding!) Â of our trip to Maui. Â The female dancers were so smooth and elegant. Â The male dancers were powerful and entertaining. Â We especially loved the Haka and fire dances!
Checked out this luau our last trip to Maui. I must admit that this was our first hawaiian luau. Food was really good. Remember that you should try everything since the majority of us don't have access to most of these foods back home. The entertainment was great, the female dancers were all beautiful and the male dancers were all muscular and tan. The fire twirlers were a thrill to watch. The open bar would have been a plus except that the poor quality of liquor made it impossible to drink a whole drink(tasted like rubbing alcohol) I would recommend sticking to beer if you are a liquor snob like I am. Â I am glad we went but don't foresee us going to a luau again on our annual hawaiian vacations due to the outrageous prices.
