I can't decide what's more awful, the food or the service.
The waitress seemed almost ambivalent about where she even was.
We asked for suggestions and everything we asked about she said, "I don't like it, and neither do most people, it's gross".
Which I FULLY appreciate... except when I asked her, so what's good here... she said... NOTHING. So why did I eat here...
So we ordered chips and salsa, and soups and salad... plus our meals. We were finished with our apps when we asked how much longer on our food. She never put our food in, she said she wanted us to get our appetizers. Our salads... and our chips and salsa.... when our meals were burgers...?
We finally demanded our food and magically our burger came out with in 5 minutes...
The food was terrible, I had no drink refills, and there was no one around to even complain to.
I'm a server, and that was the first person I Â didn't tip.
This is what a sports grill should be. Tons of screens showing all the games, attentive service despite the hectic atmosphere, big glasses of beer, and a nice selection of better than average bar food. (I recommend the ribs.) To top it all off, it's a family/kid friendly place and I was able to eat lunch and watch football with my wife and daughter for three hours. This is my new spot for watching games when I'm in West Palm. You better believe I'll be back come tournament time in March.
Review Source:The services Sucks! The last two times our server seems to forget everything. I mean something as simple as ordering French fries or getting my nephew his orange juice. Today they forgot to get his OJ, Soup and I asked the hostess that it's my brothers birthday and if she can let the waiter know so at the end he can come out with the fried cheesecake. She never did. The waiter seems lost and every other word out of his mouth was cool and yea. And it was annoying that he came back every 2 mintures to apologize about forgetting the soup. You say it once and u move on. I have worked in the restaurant business for years and I know you can have your off days. But crying out loud you are in the business. I mean really, it wasn't at all busy so I would be afraid to see these people when it actually is.
Review Source:I've been going to various Duffy's now for roundabout 14 years. Â I spent many a dinner in the old location on Alt. A1A when I was in middle school and I'm pretty fond of the chain.
The food is consistent and consistently good. Â It's nothing special, about on par with Fridays, a little better, but you know it will always be good, and there's really something to be said for that.
The thing that I really love about this particular Duffy's is location, location, location. Â No more do I have to wait to start my night out if there is a big game on, I'll just go to Duffy's. Â They have tons of seats and TONS of TVs. Oh and did I mention that its 2 for 1 happy hour at night and so its only about $4 for a huge 32 oz.(?) beer?
I've only been to this particular Duffy's now twice, but bet that I'll be back.
35 minute wait across street so we tried Duffy's again because we love the Jupiter west store so much. We were seated quickly. Our server, Jason, was nice, but brought us the wrong beverage. When I pointed it out and even mentioned it was the wrong color he said "let me check!" Really? IT WAS THE WRONG COLOR! He returned with the correct beverage. Then forgot our request for wasabi mayo until we asked again. Another server brought us someone else's food. C'mon guys! At least the fries were better than last time.
Review Source:For a sports bar the food as really pretty good and the menu is varied. Â Ordinarily I'd never order a salad in a sports bar but my greens have always been fresh and crisp here. Â It's the best place around to take in teh fights and their two for one drinks are generous and way cheap.
Review Source:This might be the best sports bar I have ever been to. Â Correction; it defiantly was the best sports bar I have ever been to. Â
To start off with, the atmosphere for NFL football was amazing. Â The walls were filled with HD TVs; all broadcasting different games. Â You do not even have to be watching your team, and you will have just as much fun. Â I was watching the Raiders game, and I found myself just as excited to watch it as I did a Steelers game. Â My family and I found ourselves watching the entire 2nd half of the Patriots game just because there was so much excitement in the bar. Â The sound system they had made it actually feel like you were at the game, and the massive amounts of people also helped. Â
The food was pretty awesome too. Â The wings... woooowwww. Â The sauces... woooowww again. Â Get the Honey Garlic; you defiantly will not be disappointed. Â I promise you that you will want to order more, so just order 5 more than what you would. Â Also, the guacamole and chips were excellent. Â The waitress told us that the guac was a new item on the menu, but it tasted as if it had been mastering the making of guacamole for decades. Â Yeah, it was that good: fresh, creamy, and allll goonneee within a few minutes.
Did I mention that the happy hour at this place is all day long? Â Thats right, two for one all day. Â If you wanna hang out, eat some food, and watch the game, this is the place to do it.
I stopped by late Friday night (or would it count as Saturday morning?) after my night of WPB touristing and have to say it was a gourmet sports bar!
Located right on Clematis by where the Bike Taxi dropped my friend and I off, it was still "on and popping" around 1AM. While sitting and minimally waiting for our grub, we enjoyed the dinner theater of what looked to be a birthday or bachelor party, some dude cruising hia pimpedout 3 wheel motorcycle and what seemed to be the start of a bar fight outside..fun times :)
Speaking of waiting, our waitress Kristen kept our soda refills coming on time, was friendly and went over the menu, especially the different sauce options on my Buffalo Chicken Burger. I chose the spicy orange sauce for my bigger-than-my-hand sized sandwich and have to say the spicy sauce wins a Dessert Snob award! The amount of fries that came with the burger was adequate, and Kristen remembered to bring me my BBQ sauce!
Oh, and there are A LOT of TV's..winning!
We tried out the new Duffy's on Clematis street. Â We had dinner on Wednesday. Â We liked that everynight is happy hour, the staff was friendly but a little slow (we were outside so they had a longer walk) and they flubbed my drink order (vodka tonic with lime, not difficult). Â I had the Tuna burger and it was pretty good, sweet potato fries were yummy. Â
My big complaint was the AC, we were sitting outside and we were still cold because the AC must be set at 50 degrees. Â It was freezing, no way I would have enjoyed my experience sitting inside, even my husband commented that inside was way too cold.
I'd probably give this place 3.5 stars.
Downtown Clematis was long overdue for this. Â When I joined a girlfriend here the other night, the place was popping for the Heat game. Â We sat outside to enjoy the nice breeze while we consumed the appetizer sampler, which consisted of crab cakes, cheese sticks, and honey garlic boneless wings. Â Our waitress said it was one of the best things on the menu and she's right. Â It was fun to people watch and catch up on things while having the staff making sure we were comfortable with our visit. Â Our drinks were spiked just right and we enjoyed our turkey burgers. Â I really couldn't tell the difference between that and the real thing. Â I think it may be my new health addition. Â Happy hour is from 4 to close too. Â If I'm ever in the mood to hit up a sports pub downtown, this is where I'll be.
Review Source:I have seriously never seen so many damn TVs in my life! Â This is definitely a good spot to catch a game. Â I went on a Thursday, and they were doing 2 for 1 drinks all night, which apparently, is pretty rare in these parts. Â The food was pretty average pub fare with some seafood twists. Â If your'e in town and looking for ANY sporting event, stop here first!
Review Source:I swung by for a quick bite to eat during lunch. Being that it had recently opened, I expected a large lunch crowd and was pleasantly surprised when we were sat almost immediately. There were a lot of hostesses, managers, waiters, runners, bussers all hustling around.
The restaurant has wall to wall HD flat screens and the bar area has enormous screens directly behind the bar. There is framed sports memorabilia everywhere. I spotted a Pele autographed jersey which was pretty unique. I definitely was digging the ambiance.
I ordered the lunch special for 6.99 and got the Ahi Tuna Melt with a side Caesar salad. The sandwich was mildly spicy due to the wasabi mayo on it. It tasted fresh and while it was only half a sandwich it did the trick. The side salad was pretty good too. It was the first or second day the restaurant had opened and the AC was on the fritz. It wasn't hot but it was a little toasty inside the dining room. A manager came by to check on us and our server was very friendly. This is definitely the spot to catch a game and have some good food over a cold beer on Clematis.
