Despite the "Grand Opening" sign over the window, they actually opened up here in August 2009.  It's a very cozy little grill, with several small tables lining the wall and a large grill and counter on the other side.

The biggest concern about this place is a possible language barrier.  When someone greets me in Spanish upon my entering the room, I have to assume that English is not their forte, as I do not look like the type of person who would speak Spanish (read: big fat pasty white guy) - though I luckily do speak a bit.

I ordered up a taco and fries to try out this location that is not too far from our new apartment - and after some broken English to repeat my order and confirm what I wanted on my taco, things were good.

I think she was amused at my ability to ask some remedial questions in Spanish - asking how long it's been since they opened and such.  It didn't take long to make my food - and the other woman who was sleeping at the table (they looked like they had been empty and bored all day) hadn't woken up from our chitchat - so I headed out.

All in all, the steak taco was quite tasty (and came with cheese, which not many include as standard).  The fries were average, but I would consider it a decent amount for $1.  Also, she threw in some extra red and green salsa in cups and a few ketchup packets, which is nice considering we just moved in and haven't picked up all of the necessary condiments yet.

Friendly place, rather close, doesn't look to be very busy.  Prime setup to come back again for more.

This place is more of a 3 1/2 stars but the people were friendly and the service was quick.

This is a relatively new Mexican place on Archer Ave. It's relatively small as there are only two tables and a handful of counter stools.

I was surprised that they had huaraches so I tried a lengua one. A huaraches is a long oval tortilla (which i believe is made from maze) which is topped off with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, beans and your choice of meat. It was pretty darn good. On another occasion I ordered a chicken and a steak taco. Both were just ok as I would definately stick with their huarches. Their menu also includes burritos, tortas, Mexican style breakfast, sopes, gorditas, quesadillas and a few dinner plates. Oh they also have burgers and fries, not sure about hot dogs though.

Hopefully this place lasts as it is on a rather busy street and people easily miss it.
