They have a great little menu full of unique dishes... Its very easy to navigate for Gluten-free, Vegetarian, and Vegan diners. Â also, i haven't tried it yet but they have a Sunday waffle brunch thing that sounds great!
Attn Vegans! They have vegan soups! Who else has that?! I ordered the potato poblano chowder... a bit spicy but very good.
The atmosphere is very chill and not at all like the hipster dives down near Cincinnati. The night we went they were playing a cool mix of 70s-80s punk, new wave, and rock. I fit right in.
Awesome bar and coffee shop, one of the best secrets on the west side. Â They recently expanded, adding the old Bonsai location next door and have decorated the entire place so beautifully. Â This has become my favorite place in town to relax and have a good beer, coffee, or drink with friends.
If I have one complaint, it's that their bartenders aren't well versed in making even some of the simplest of mixed drinks. Â I recently went and order a daiquiri, which is just rum, lime, and sugar shaken and strained (not the frozen kind they assumed I wanted), and they brought me some monster drink that was served on the rocks and clearly not shaken or strained. Â I let the server and bartender know, and they got it right the second time around, but it's pretty sad that a drink like a daiquiri which is a bartender standard all over the world was so foreign to these guys. Â Even worse, if you don't know how to make something, look it up! Â Everyone is a bartender in todays world thanks to smartphones.
All of that aside, Eloise is a fantastic bar, with a great clientele and atmosphere. Â It is a great compliment to a growing number of El Paso bars that are turning our city into something special.
Great gem on the westside!
I have stopped in a few times on my way to work and I have to say that I have not been disappointed. Â They use a french press to brew their house coffee which in my opinion, is the best way to brew a bean. Â
It is in a great location with lots of parking and easy access. Â The inside is spotless and inviting. Â The front patio offers several tables where you can enjoy a view of the Franklin Mountains while you sip on your drink. Â
I have not been in at night yet but it looks like a well stocked bar. Â I plan to go soon.
