I've been here twice now.
Experience 1: trying to watch college football. Notes: opened late, had no care that they opened late, took forever to acknowledge me (I was one of three guests). Â Instead of trying to find the game I came to watch the bartender and other guests just preferred to talk about whether it'd be on or not. Â After ten minutes and missing kick-off I just left.
Experience 2: karaoke. Â This was an alright experience however it's was jam packed in there. Â
I guess it's a go-to for karaoke but I've been to more crowd controlled venues for this.
Dive bar in the middle of Plano. Â Decent bar food. Â Pizza is good. Â drinks are reasonably priced. Â It is what you make of it.
This is a place to hang with your friends when you don't want to get dressed up or drive too far. Â They have plenty of TVs to watch sports and very good karaoke DJ on Fridays and Saturdays. Â The place can get crowded late on weekends, but the crowd has a good vibe and everyone gets along.
The best thing going here is Gryf, the DJ. Â He keeps the crowd pumped up and mixes the songs up so everyone gets a little of what they like.
If you are looking for a very casual good time, close to home, for drinking this place can fit the bill.
This is a great dive bar in the middle of suburbia. Â However, if you're talking about wait staff and food, that is a different story. Â The karaoke consists of regulars who like to think they are singing superstars. Â The bar food they serve here is nothing spectacular. Â You have to ask for refills, even for alcoholic drinks too. Â I have been here twice. Â Once when it was packed and the other when it was slow. Â The service was still the same. Â The waitresses look unhappy like caged animals at the zoo. Â They also sport old TVs in their "party room." Â Look at the TV and you'll think you have cataracts or something. I wouldn't come back. Â Within 10-15 miles, you can definitely find other places that appreciate your business and serve better food.
Review Source:Dive bar where you're lucky if half the people have their own teeth but it's not a bad place to chill out, play some pool or darts and sing if it's a Fri or Tues night. Food was average for a bar and the Karaoke girl was nice. Mostly the same crowd comes here. There are much better bars to go to, but if you're in a rut, why not?
Review Source:My bf and I come here alot and was actually their "mayor" for quite a while.... But unfortunately, I'm about to write our experience. Don't get me wrong, we really like this place but there was something fishy going on. Almost everytime we come here, the amount that we signed for and paid on the receipt is far different from the amount stated in our bank statement the following day. We liked the place so much because of the vibe and we actually told them about this issue. They said that we should let them know if it happen again and they will take care of it. So we still come here on weekends to get our beer but this time we played It smart. We use cash now to pay for our bill. Not until recently (last night) we used our debit card. And the SAME thing happened again. $1.20 more than the amount we signed and paid for. Beware patrons. Don't let them take advantage of you especially when you are tipsy.
Review Source:Definitely a dive bar... in Plano. Its at Parker and Independence... behind the Blockbuster. It's pretty much a place to go if you live in Plano, and you have been out all night at a real bar, and want to keep drinking, but you want to do it close to home so you don't have to drive very far.
They have kareoke, pool tables, and dart boards. Outside smoking area. The crowd that you will see are mostly regulars who go there on a multiple-times-a-week basis. They are older, mostly male, who probably think Saks Fifth Avenue is a football quarterback museum in New York City.
My only word of advice is, if you're going to go here, be drunk and DO NOT take anyone home:)
One of the best dive bars I've been to! Â The prices are great and there's karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays! Â And the karaoke singers are actually quite impressive. Â American Idol could use this place to scope out talent for their next season. Â
I first went here for New Year's Eve 2009 and was quite impressed when at midnight they brought around champagne and wheeled out a serve yourself cart of eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cabbage, black eye peas, and cornbread for us to enjoy after midnight! Â
Over the years, the number of people who have discovered The Endzone has increased. Â I was there about 2 weeks ago and the bar was the fullest many of the "regulars" have seen since they started going there. Â
The bartenders are nice and very attentive. Â
So if you're looking for that bar "where everyone knows your name" in Plano be sure to check out The Endzone!
On my last night working in Dallas, TX we decided to go out and have a couple of drinks and dinner and someone at the hotel recommended that we go to "The Endzone". Â I usually like little hole in the wall local bars and diners, but "The Endzone" is, well, less than mediocre. Â
Our server seemed like she hadn't had enough sleep or a little too much of something else. Â The bar staff/selection wasn't impressive. Â The crowd was a little too "local, slightly over middle aged, alcoholics" for me AND the pizza which the menu bragged about as "home made and never store bought" (and the server recommended) smelled like dog food and tasted like a generic brand microwave pizza. Â Which is bad because I am really not picky!
Anyways, the food is sub-par, the staff is just okay (but very friendly), and the crowd is interesting (we took a picture with a guy that looked like a member of ZZ Top).  But, if you are looking to have a few drinks and an interesting experience with the local crowd, go for it.  I had a lot of  fun - but who doesn't when sports are on TV, interesting characters are everywhere, and alcohol is involved. It was definately better than just going to some chain that everyone has heard of!
Great bar and great service. I came here for to play some pool with friends. Low key place and the drinks are decently priced. Â Very local bar so its never too crowded. Definitely just a hang out bar and not something you would celebrate your 21st birthday in. Although it gets pretty loud in there. Overall I would come back to chill at this bar.
Review Source:SERIOUSLY a DIVE bar...but good none the less. I like to play darts and shoot some pool. The drinks are cheap and the bathrooms are..what you would expect from this kinda place. So...hold it if you can.
I posted a quick tip on one of the Bartenders Dee...She can seriously mix drinks! Although I think most of the bartenders are pretty good at mixing drinks..I would go as far to say they are above average.
I do like this place but agree with the other yelps this is a place I go to sulk and not be noticed. Although...I did meet a guy I ended up dating for a year at this bar! LOL omg....The relationship did not last but my love affair with the End zone...Aka The Easy Sleezy...continues....
The ultimate dive bar. This is where I go when I don't want to be noticed. It's dirty, grimy, old and full of hicks, but it has a certain charm that keeps me coming back. Great place to go when I want to stay under the radar.
Stinks they had to close off the back pool room, I miss all the extra pool tables.
Prices are alright, staff is friendly and that one bartender always knows my face so that's nice.
Good drink prices, I enjoy the club sandwich. Â The service is usually good, sometimes the staff gets distracted hanging out with regulars but that's part of the charm. Â My only beef is the lack of sound during home team games, numerous times I've been in and the Mavs where on but no audio.
Review Source:This place is much larger on the inside than it looks on the outside.
Decent happy hour prices for this blue collar bar-- don't be put off by the cement floor, the food is pretty good. Â Try the buffalo chicken tender sliders, in my opinion they are the best item on the menu.
No pinball, but they have an Internet Jukebox, Golden Tee, and Karaoke. Â Texas Hold 'Em on certain days.
I celebrated one of my birthdays there and if you are into just hole in the wall bars then you will definatly like the end zone, they have pool tables, darts, poker on one of those nights and awesome bar tenders. I dont think you are allowed to smoke inside anymore as far as i know but i got pretty wasted and they never got me off =) good thing i had a dd... anyways, i would definatly recommend the end zone
Review Source:The Endzone is my favorite bar, mostly because it's within walking distance.
Sometimes, stumbling distance.
But, even if I had to drive for miles I'd still come to this bar. It's really just a great place to spend time, in fact I used to hang out there and shoot pool before I turned 21. It's also one of the few bars that I know of you can throw darts, which has always been a past time of mine.
It's a pretty big place. They've got a big pool room, dart room, large stage, and a nice raised area with big leather sofas, which is my favorite place to sit back and watch a game. That's another thing, they've got flat screens all over the place, so it's hard to miss a play unless you're staring at the floor.
Depending on the bartender your drinks can be really great or just ok, there's a bit of a chance when you order as to how good it's going to be. Prices are fairly reasonable too, although I usually stick to beer and that's just $9 a pitcher. From what I can tell it's a good selection of drafts, although I just stick to Bud Light.
The burgers are fantastic and cooked to order. They've only got four on the menu, which are all great, but they can make pretty much anything you ask for. I've even seen a sauteed mushroom burger, and there's nothing on the menu that even calls for mushrooms. They've got plenty of other food, the list is rather long, but it's all great and very well priced.
As mentioned earlier, they've got a big stage, which is great when they've got a good band, but pretty awful on karaoke nights. The crowd here just can't sing, let's face it. But the bands are almost always good, and there are even a few open mic regulars that are worth listening too.
They've also got a poker tournament night, which is on Fridays if I'm not mistaken. I've never played, but it's a pretty big crowd up there.
If you're a biker, you should come out on Thursday nights, when they've got Biker Night. There's almost always a Harley sitting by the front door on most nights, but on Thursdays it looks like a motorcycle dealership. They're a rowdy bunch too, it's great.
