The Fat Dog

Talk about busy on a Wednesday night in Montrose!  It was close to Hollywood status on a weekend!

A neat little place in Montrose, fairly priced, has pretty much anything you want to drink and a few interesting munchable options as well.

Two paws up!

Someone must have let the dogs out last night... because Fat Dog was crowded! I wouldn't expect a Wednesday night in Montrose to be so loud.

Overall, I had a good experience. Their drink menu is fun and they put some funny twists on classics such as, the tailwagger or chocolatini. They have a great wine selection as well, which is what I ended up choosing.

We ordered the Jalapeno Mac and Cheese, and it was pretty good! Not really spicy at all, but that one dish definitely made me want to try more off their menu.

WARNING: the bathrooms STINK! It's pretty unbearable, so hold your nose before you walk in. I don't understand how they haven't fixed that since the last time I was here over a year ago.

Fat Dog is a wonderful place to be in the tiny, quiet Montrose area.

Once upon a time in Montrose, I stumbled upon this gem called "The Fat Dog" and boy was it the best place i ever visited. This place is super chill, atmosphere wise and i have met the owner he is so nice. They have a really nice bar and have a lot of drinks with silly names. Around the place you will notice paintings of a pitbull i found out his name is rufus and he is the owners dog. Now as for the food...well it is only the best, everything i have ever had has been spectacular...like fireworks in my mouth, anyways you get the point! It is kinda pricy but its so worth it, you wont be dissapointed. Also if you are a sports fan like me this place is awesome to go to watch the game and just chill but i must warn you the place gets packed at around 6 in the evening. So if your gonna go (i am not sure if they take reservations) i would def. call ahead. And be mindful if you decide to go there it is 21 and over and they WILL ID YOU. The first time when we stumbled upon this gem i was under 21 and we did not know it was 21 and over (now its posted on the door) they checked my id and asked us kindly to leave. It was no biggie but you best bet once i turned 21 we were back and have been going ever since! Love this place.
