I always liked coming to The Fig, but after awhile I found places that were much more exciting and atmosphere was much better. The Fig does have a cozy/hidden atmosphere, but the the same times its awfully ventilated. The bathrooms aren't the best, actually there not very clean. The prices are a little high for something's, especially bubbles to use while smoking. The only thing I'm not happy with us that there's so many flavors and you can't try them all like other places I been to. For the amount of money you pay, you should be able to change in a agreeable amount of time. The smoothies are awesome, especially the piña colada one! I don't like the fact that of you have a group everyone has to spend 5$ minimum even after you all chip in to smoke. The other plus is that it's BYOB. I haven't had the food so I cannot begin to speculate. This place is A-OK, it could use some changes.
Review Source:The Fig Cafe was my first experience in a Hookah Lounge. Â It was early 2012 and I had just moved to Jenkintown for work. Â I found the experience to be very welcoming to newcomers. Â My exposure to Hookahs was pretty minimal. Â The staff was very helpful.
I had a lemon mint hookah, which is perfect for beginners; not too heavy leaves a refreshing sensation. Â I believe I also ordered some stuffed grape leaves to snack on, which was also a pleasant first experience. Â
They often have good live music and a great social environment. Â My only real complaint was the ventilation not being particularly great, leaving the cafe full of smoke most of the time. Â
It's close to a couple of nearby bars in walking distance and is a overall good experience. Â If you're in the area and haven't been to a hookah lounge before, you should give them a shot.
