Turney's Tavern

Turney's Tavern Nee McGurk's in Wyndmoor is a tucked away treasure within stumbling distance of the City Limits and a regional rail stop--if you're an expert stumbler like me and do not want to pay Germantown Avenue $$ for drinks.  

The advantages of this are:
1) No smoking ban (well not for me in fact I only gave it 4 stars cause it gets kinda smokey)
2) Lower Tax %

It's just simply a fun place to hang out.   They do a free jukebox promotion on Tuesday Nights (with that cool satellite Juke) and on Thursday's they've got Tom in to do an always hilarious and challenging pub quiz.

If you do get food, get the chicken cheese steak.  Oh holy mother is it good.
