Finn McCool's Tavern

Finn McCool's is a dive bar in Ambler, adjust your expectations accordingly.  

It tends to not be crowded, even on the weekends.  If you're in Ambler and looking for a place to hang out with friends and drink a couple beers, this would be an A-OK place to go.

On the plus side, it's a really cool old building.

This place used to be the spot but after a bunch of events that supposedly went down, it declined to a dive bar.  Their beer selection is decent and their food is alright, it's just that the place never fully recovered in my eyes. The place is usually dead when most others are crowded. It's a shame to see a semi decent pub like this. I hope it can make a comeback.

Finn McCools is located in one of the coolest buildings in Ambler.  It occupies the first floor of a multi story stone building that was formally the Wyndam.  There's a large patio out front that sits on Butler Ave which is great for people watching during the summer.  The parking lot is very small so look for a spot on the street or in one of the public lots.

Finn's has a huge bar that is in my opinion too big.  It takes up so much space inside there isn't much room around it to hang out.  The beer selection is pretty good and they have a decent amount of beers on tap.  

I have only eaten here a few times and the food was average and priced to match.  With so many options in Ambler I don't find myself at Finn's often.
