Great location and good music, however food was not really appetizing (and the frozen cheesecake was a huge turnoff) and the service wasn't too prompt. Good place to hang out, but not great.

Awful service but if you can get past that then the pool / river view can be a lot of fun.

Very, very Miami!  If you're not expecting perfection, fabulous food or the best attention in the world... then you're living the Miami ambience, and this place is for you. It's fun, carefree, mostly in-the-sun seating - tables have umbrellas... you're sitting on the Miami River, overlooking downtown Miami, really, really cool. There's a pool, boats docking, lots of water, tiki bars, coconut trees, waitresses, music in the background, seafood, beer, mixed drinks (including those with little parasols in them) open space, sunshine - what fun - did I mention free parking (cars and boats). My dear cuzz brought me here, and we had a great afternoon! Can't wait to go back and have some more fun in the sun!

Cool to watch the boats go by.... total dive and somewhat sketchy folks but still cool.

I used to love this place. Then every time I went it was empty and the staff had an attitude. The last time I went for lunch my co worker and I were the only ones in the place and when we left I left my phone on the table. I realized before I got to the car and turned around. I asked the waitress if she saw my phone on the table and she snapped back all I got was the bill. I went to check the car and called my phone and it was already off. Spoke to the manager and he said ask the waitress. So basically he did not give a crap that his employee stole my phone so I won't give a crap that this place will soon go out of business. Go to waxy's so much better and they don't steel your phone.

I recently came to Finnegan's River for a Sam Adams beer tasting and my first thought was, "Where has this place been all my life?!" My eyes were darting everywhere, taking in the scene. Great spot to chill and drink inside or outside, depending on your mood. Most importantly, though, there is a pool. I'm sorry, but why don't more Miami bars have pools? I kind of think it's genius.

Not only is there a pool, but this bar is also located directly on the river, hence the name. You can hop in a water taxi to South Beach if you're so inclined or just enjoy the spectacular view of the city.

The bar itself is a bit grungy and the service is just so-so. I paid for one beer with a $50 and (I kid you not) received over 40 singles in change. Thought that was a bit absurd. Overall, Finnegan's is a cool spot and I'll definitely be back.

There are a great many reviews extolling the wonders of Finnegan's as they pertain to boat owners. Because I don't much care for the ocean (in fact, I'm often downright afraid of it), this review will be catered to land lovers everywhere.

Finnegan's suffers, in my opinion, from acute bar/club confusion, which afflicts very many spots in Miami. Where it's somewhat presented to you as a bar in everything from the bar itself to the food Finnegan's serves, the blaring music and largely obnoxious and seedy crowd dancing drunkenly with utter contempt for rhythm tell a different story.

Truly, if what you want is a bar where music plays in the background as opposed to being pressed up against your face like a wet rag, there are a million other places that you can frequent. In this area alone, you're better off heading to Tobacco Road and/or Blackbird Ordinary.

In fact, now that I broached the subject, I don't get why Brickell and the neighborhood directly adjacent to it suffers from acute bar/club confusion. Not that it's exclusive to this area, but it's definitely ground zero: the veritable "Outbreak" monkey that will make your eyes bleed in much the same way that poor Kevin Spacey did in the movie.

And to be honest, I don't get the appeal of docking at Finnegan's. It seems like a lot of work. I mean, isn't the point to be out on your boat in open water? What this tells me about the crowd is that it's more of a "be seen" group than anything else. Again, you can see this everywhere in Miami, but there's something about seeing it here that makes my butt itch.

If you want something a little more subdued and with a better crowd (I know how this makes me seem, but I really don't care), then take your business elsewhere. Even Finnegan's Too/Finnegan's Road on Lincoln more aptly embodies what this place is presumably trying to affect.

I've been a couple of times. It is always awful service and low-quality food. Bartenders are so rude; don't even think about asking them a question. They'll end up hating you for it. Patrons here are also a little sketchy. Last time i went, a fight broke out. Yeah it's nice that it's on the water, but come here at your own risk.

Our co-workers and I came here for lunch today. We were a group of six but were the only other patrons in the restaurant. We've been here before several times and can honestly tell you that we always have a good experience. The table was a little dirty but our waitress took care of that promptly. The waitress was very attentive and had our drinks refilled throughout the stay without even asking. I ordered the skirt steak sandwich and it was delicious and cooked exactly how I wanted it.

I've been here before for happy hour a few times. They have great beer and drink specials. It's a beautiful location with a pool and beautiful views of downtown. It's a great place to go after work. I'm likely to continue going there for a long time.

It's amazing how this place has such a nice ambiance and it just doesn't attract enough people.

Unfortunately, I completely understand why Finnegan's River does not fill up with patrons like it used to when it first opened.  The views are great, but the service is incredibly HORRIBLE!

Can you imagine, a group of guests...9 to be exact...sit around and ask the waitress for a menu, 20 minutes later...NO MENU YET.  One of the members of our party had to walk inside and snatch someone to bring us some menus.  From what it seemed like, it was the manager that brought us the menu.  He offered to follow our member to our table and hand us some menus.  All the manager did was hand us the menus and did not even apologize for us waiting or any inconvenience caused.

The service was slow and it seemed like we had to ask for everything that we needed.  When it came down to get the check...it took another half hour before we got our bill.  Incredible!

Since service was so slow...I decided to go to the bar to grab my own drinks.  WOW!  Can you say slow as molasses also!!  Granted, they have a good selection of draft beers...but when you ask the bartender what one of them was like, his description was "it taste like beer!," it knocked me off my feet!  It took at least 15-20 minutes before we were able to get a couple of beers and move back to the table.

It seems like this establishment is not really ready for business and provide the service that is seeked.  Come on Finnegan's, carry out your ambiance and provide the quality of service that you should be capable of.

Food was okay, nothing out of this world...everything is edible.  Just takes a while to get to your table...

Great water views with dockage for boats. We came here for drinks during Happy Hour. We then learned that Happy Hour includes beer, wine and well liquors. It doesn't include top shelf beverages. Since I am kind of careful about which types of vodka I drink, I requested a Belvedere with Grapefruit. They didn't have grapefruit juice but found a whole grapefruit. The bartender squeezed the grapefruit for me making it the best vodka and grapefruit ever. We then ordered some appetizers: 1.Crab cakes which are served over roasted corn and peppers with honey mustard sauce. These were delicious. 2.Mahi sliders- tasted pre-frozen with fishy aftertaste. 3.Shrimp cocktail- good but also tasted previously frozen and served over wilted iceberg instard of ice. We stayed and enjoyed our drinks, watched the Heat game and left.
It's a good casual place to stop by with a boat if you only want to have some drinks. If you are driving, there are plenty of other places in the area with better quality food.

Great place to watch the games on all the tv's and two huge projectors. If its a nice night temperature wise sitting outside is great. Drinks are good, fair price, good beer selection, wings are great and they have a pool and jacuzzi. Parties were going on when i went which made it fun to people watch and see drunk office workers dancing at some business galla/party. Great fun place with beautiful view.

From the moment I walked in...I knew it was love at first sight, literally! Beautiful skyline of Downtown, boats, water, pool? Yeap Finnegans, I can't believe it took me this long to meet you!
and wait.....where else can you have alligator tail? Yeah..I was quite surprised at that one and I was forced to try some...and it does taste like chicken. But besides that...the drinks are good, if the weather is just right then this place is def the perfect spot. I went on a Thursday night, it was pretty empty but I'm sure this place comes alive on the weekends..I must check it out again!.

Very nice restaurant literally on the river. If you have a boat great place to come by boat and dock your boat. Staff available at the dock to help.
Drinks and food not too pricey and good. The view is fabulous!
Lots of seating space and a nice pool if you would like to take a dip on Saturday or Sunday afternoon to cool off.
They usually play fights and games on the big screen and it's a great place to go because it's  easy to find a table and no wait on fight nights. Just call ahead and make sure fight is playing that night.
    I totally recommend!

"IN LIKE FLYNN." Plenty of dock space, plenty of places to sit.  This is really saying something on a Saturday afternoon at the height of "the season."  We'd been out on the boat and wanted to find a spot for a snack and some beers.  Shuckers was packed to the gills. Next we tried Garcia's, where boats were rafted up 4 deep with a few circling like sharks for an opening, so we went back down the river to Finnegan's.  Parking the boat was no problem.

Service was super.  We were our waitress's only table.  She helped us find a cool shady spot with our own little gazebo, and she hooked us up with a bucket of beers right away.  The menu has a cool little section of different types of sliders, which really struck a chord with our group: someone wanted grouper sliders, somebody else got Cubans, and then there was a traditionalist.  I got a Cobb salad, hold the bacon.

The food was truly mediocre.  The people who ordered sliders ended up taking them apart after the first bite--too much bread, under ripe tomatoes, dry. The idea of different fun flavors of sliders is such a good one.  Too bad poor execution undid it.

As we were finishing up, a live band began to play, which made conversation all but impossible.  Fortunately, we were ready to take off by then anyway.

We'll go back to Finnegans next time we're out on the boat and we're looking for a place that isn't too crowded.  I don't think we'll ever have to fight to get into this remarkably average riverside restaurant.

What can i really say about this place, except that it's location is unique...Drinks are pretty good, and the vibe is really loud and alive, but in a good way.  Nice place to come and enjoy the view with some drinks.

This spacious bar offers tons of lounge areas and chairs. You can dock your boat right up or hang out by the pool and enjoy a drink or two. It's literally right by the river and offers a spectacular view of the city and boats passing through.

Food: Typical bar food. The wings are quite tasty.

Service: The bouncer at the front was cool. The bartenders were quick and accommodating.

It was one of the few sports bars in Miami that was showing the boxing match (Pacquiao vs. Marquez) so we ended up here and the crowd was lively and excited to cheer on their beloved fighters.

Overall, a lively sports bar and great spot to chill and grab drinks in downtown Miami.

I love, love love this place!! I went here for a pool party and I had the best time every. It's super spacious here. The drinks were nice a strong and the bartenders were friendly.

I can't wait to go back here.

Now my only negative comment is about the parking. I hate going to places when the local people are trying to hustle me to park and watch my car. Um, no thanks the parking meter works just fine.

We pulled up the boat right to the Finnegan's outdoor bar after wake boarding all day. It was very exciting. They have a spa and a pool at the bar open to any patrons eating or drinking.

I had a good time. Ate buffalo wings, drank too much Jameson, and ultimately made it safely back to my hotel room.

    Love you Finnegan's ! oxoxx

I don't go to a bar for a gastronomic experience.  And I didn't really get one here.   The quesadillas weren't as good as what I make at home, and my friend's chicken sandwich was barely half eaten.  I do have to say excellent things about the homemade cinnamon donuts with Bailey's sauce.  Holy.  Donut.  Heaven.  We almost fought over the last bite...

I also don't go to a bar to sunbathe, but there I was by the Miami River in my bikini, soaking up rays by the pool (which for some reason was a bit cloudy.  I jumped in once, and decided not to do it again...)

Generally, I go to a bar when I want to unwind and meet new people.  The unwinding was great, but there weren't a lot of people there, which makes the lack of service particularly confusing.  The language barrier wasn't helpful (evidently, "can we hang out here" means "can I sunbathe topless").  Drinks had to be requested multiple times before they got to us.

I'm gonna go back at night, I really want to upgrade this place to at least four stars...

If you go to Finnegan's River, you should bring own friends. Each time I have been here, it's not very crowded. It is located a good distance from the main Brickell area, and there is limited nearby parking. It's located right on the Miami River. The place is actually quite large, the service good, several different types of draft beer and a good selection of bar food (Much better than Lincoln Road).

To get there, go West on SE 7th and take a right before the Publix. Finnegan's River is located on your right. There is some free parking in front and metered parking on side of the Jose Marti Rec Center. There is also a boat dock if you have your own boat.

This joint is so unique.  It's right on the river, under I-95 and it's like an oasis in the urban landscape.

They have an amazing space.  It's beautiful.  A swimming pool, a stage, a DJ booth, indoor seating with 2 pool tables and a couple of arcade games.  TV'S EVERYWHERE.  You can arrive by water and dock your boat.

I love coming here.  On chilly nights they have fires around the patio.  On perfect evenings you can lounge anywhere and catch the breeze.  On sunny afternoons, you can take a swim in the pool.  All while drinking anything from the full bar and eating grub from the kitchen.  It's like what you want your own backyard to be like.

Now for the drawbacks.  Service here SUCKS.  Always has.  I've gone since it opened.  I doubt it will ever change.  If you sit anywhere other than the bar...good luck getting anything quickly or in the manner you've asked for it.  The bartenders are pretty good.  But stick to what is served in a bottle.  If you have the right amount of T&A and you've got a male bartender, you might get a good drink.  Otherwise, just stick to beer and wine and shots.

The food is alright.  But a little pricey.  Basics:  Chicken tenders are $9 and they don't even come with fries.  But sometimes they have specials and cookouts and when that happens the food is amazing and super cheap!

Basically Finnegan's River is always beautiful to come and have a drink at.  But can be hit and miss with the food and service.  They also don't have many events going on, which is sad with such a great space.

Parking can suck here.  There are a handful of spaces next to the building.  But mostly it's street parking.  When they are busy, it's nearly impossible to find a spot.

Definitely worth checking out.  If business picks us for this great location, I'm sure they would be able to give some great programming.  But on the flip side to that they have to start giving some consistently great service to get people to come back!

I remember when Finnigans was the place to be for happy hour back in 2006 or so. Since then, I hadn't really been dragged back there against my will (as was the case back in 2006). It was game 1 of the Heat/Celtics series and I didn't feel like coughing up $200 for 300 level seats so I decided to try something different. I came up with the idea of watching the Heat game at Finnigans on a Sunday afternoon with my buddies.

This was probably my first time going to Finnigans during daylight and it was quite nice. The pool area seemed very "family friendly" and there were plenty of boats pulling up to the dock. I noticed the tables along the river were full and people were also hanging out by the huge lounge chairs spread around the pool area.

We decided to sit inside the bar area by the back (near the aquarium). We had huge TV's at every angle and they were all in HD. The crowd was rowdy and hyped up to kick off our series against the Celtics. There were Finnigans employees passing out noisemakers and everyone was participating in the fun playoff atmosphere (high fives with the tables around you, etc.). This is very different from the days when Finnigans was extremely "thuggish" and I witnessed many fights and arrests during happy hours a few years ago.

We had the beer bucket specials and they were fairly priced (not bad for Brickell standards but not as good as Flannys). The food was horrendous...it's your typical bar food but I expected that. Our waitress was very friendly and patient with some of the picky eaters/drinkers in our group. Don't go to Finnigans for quality food; go for cold beers and a laid back vibe by the river. I felt as though I "discovered" a new place to watch sporting events and kick back with friends. I was very pleased with my first visit to Finnigans in recent memory and I will definitely be back.

    Now this is MY SPOT!!!

I actually didn't want to write a review. I mean if I told you guys about the pool, the jacuzzi, the billiards tables, the extended happy hour and the live DJ you just might start to show up.. *insert sad violin playing here* And then my little quiet place would turn into party central..lol WELL READ ON THEN!!

So I had some guy (Him who will not be named) offer to play me in pool.. Lo and behold he takes me to this place. OMGGG! So what I haven't talked to the guy since, I've been here at least 8 times in 3 weeks!*

Check out the pictures! They have cabanas and lounge chairs and-- hold on I just remembered I wanted to get out the negative first... Be careful of the bartender Marie.. She will charge you whatever comes to her head. Even after you tell her you know the right price AND you tell her you were there the day before AAND you tell her you're coming back with a receipt!

OK now where was I, Oh yeah.. the chairs and umbrella tables are amazing! I've been at all times of the day and there has ALWAYS been a spot to lay. Even in the Jacuzzi! Uuuuuhhh Jaaaacuuuzzzzzziiiiiiiiiii

OK I know you have other reviews to read to lets just cut to the chase and talk about what really matters HAPPY HOUR. The Happy Hour here is usually Monday--Friday 4p-7p but now its recently been extended to Monday -Thursday 4p TO CLOSE! The drinks will during these times are half off. My favorite is the Shamrock followed by a shot of rum.. YUM!

I haven't had the food yet.. I know you're thinking 'Kenesha! YOU of AAALLL people haven't EATEN there?!?!' I know, I know, but the Jacuzzi, the drinks and food just don't mix. You have to prioritize lol

And last but certainly not least! On Tuesday nights they have DJ George Jett! THE BOMB. Have you ever heard someone mix Ms. New Booty by Bubba Sparxx with Pretty Woman by Roy Orbinson??? No huh? See that's why I need to see you at Finnegans. Link me up when you come.

*Side-note: I work everyday (shocking I know) but when I get off early.. I'm at Finnegans before my boss can get the 'e' out of his 'Goodbye"

I've been here twice, once with a group of friends on a Friday night to have some drinks and check the place out, and once with a group of Yelpers who'd actually planned to eat here.

Both times, it was the same.  It was nearly emptly and lifeless, save the music they had pumping which was a little too loud.

It's sad, too, because I really think this is a great place with lots of potential!  It's right on a bend of the Miami River, they've got a pool, lots of tables and seating right on the river, and a decent menu that includes the usual bar appetizers, but also sandwiches, oysters and shrimp, a few types of pizza and pasta, a few steak and seafood entrees and a fairly extensive sushi menu.

I'm not sure if Finnegan's River doesn't advertise enough or if it's just too far out of the way and off the beaten path that people don't find this place or what the case is, as it has a lot going for it.  Each time I've been there on Friday evenings, however, I've always had that same feeling you get when you're the first one to arrive for a birthday party:  The place is all prepared, the staff is ready, the music is pumping and you know there will be a nice crowd show up later, but for now the few people who are there are just kind of standing around and the scene is a bit awkward.  Yeah, it's kinda like that, only the big crowd that's supposed to show up for the party never seems to arrive here.

It was my first time in this place with all my friends for the super bowl, we reserved a VIP area.  everything was fine till the time we had to pay, i gave the bartender my credit card but she never returned it back to me, and i left the place.
a few days later a spoke with the manager to try to get it back and told me that they didnt have it, and was rude about it and he never tried to give a solution for the problem. i do consider that he is not the type of person to be a manager especially when i went there to spend a lot of money

I will never go back to that place, neither my firends

Their happy hour is pretty cheap, probably one of the most affordable in Brickell, just don't expect must service. The bartenders are nice, but trying to find a server to order food is like pulling teeth. Best idea is just to sit at the bar to order.

I love the outdoor seating and the Miami feel to this place. It's right on the Miami River, and it's especially nice during the fall/winter months when sitting outside is bearable, it's a really nice setting to go chill with a few friends and take in the lights of Miami without hearing all the traffic.

Haven't had much of their food, but will say that I think it's gross that the nachos come slathered in processed cheese, rather than real shredded mozza and cheddar. Their mozza sticks are pretty good, and according to my carnivore friends, they have good wings.

Overall, a decent place to have a few happy hour drinks with friends, but go somewhere else for a meal.

Finnegans makes it on two of my lists. I'll start with the good stuff first.

They make 5-star worthy mojitos. I had 3 this afternoon when I was with friends for their Sunday pool parties. The mojitos were smooth, in that having 3 I only got a mellow buzz to enjoy my Sunday. The chicken wings taste above average as far as bar fare goes, and let's not deny the awesome view! The pool was nice, not overly chlorinated and Power 96 was spinning today as part of a reality show they were filming.

    Now...

The not so flattering list Finnegans lands is my "Overpriced Tourist Trap" list. There's the automatic tip which I so despise, even when it's an individual order (I ordered stuff before my friends got there). I don't know if this was because of the filming going on but they were charging $20 plus a tab (with I'm sure the mandatory tip again) to use one. I was spared the cover because I got there early enough (before 2) but they started charging a $10 cover.

Let's do the math then: (5-star mojitos) + (0 star service and overpricedness) = 2.5. Again, I only round up to 3 because of the mojitos.

Agree with Dave, "too much of a thug fest" and to be honest I'm kind of a thug haha.

Went there with a gal pal. During that time the waitress was fairly absent minded (forgot drink order twice) and wouldn't take our appetizer order until we knew what we wanted for the main course. Weird.

Anyway: So while were there a fight broke out at the table behind ours. Staff could really care less, and particularly didn't care that we were in the midst of it. Ketchup everywhere! They didn't offer to move our table even after we asked.

Finnegan's I want to like you! I'll be back, get it in gear and I'll update the review.

i hadnt been here in a couple of years since their popular happy hour craze wore off.

last saturday the seminole booster club hosted the game watching party there so i decided to check it out.

the party was in the back room, which was great since it was rainy, muggy, and hot. but just bc we were under a roof did nothing for the heat! whoa was it hot. like unbareable, everyone was drenched in sweat.

the crowd outside the party, in the main area was "eehhhh at best" most people looked barely legal to drink, and a lot of uuuhh how should i say this, people who dont speak english (and im hispanic btw)

the drinks were priced fairly, i think i paid 22 for a round - a beer, a wine, and a mixed drink.

parking as always is an issue in this area.. we got lucky and after circling 4 times got a meter about a block away.

some friends told me the huge parking lot closes at 11 pm, so they all had to move their cars at 11 and come back to keep celebrating the big seminole win!!

overall i wouldnt go back unless it was for a special event.

This place would be worthy of 4 stars if it just turned down the music a little and played better tunes.

It's got a great location, right on the Miami river.  It's got a boating dock so you can boat up to it.  There's a large open area w/tables, a pool, outdoor stage, sushi bar, AND swimming pool.  It's got a lot of fun stuff to do.  Inside the bar is pretty large too with one side of the counter spilling over onto this outdoor cat walk that hovers over the river. So you can sit outside at the bar counter, if you'd like.

Just turn down the obnoxious tunes in the daylight hours and we'll come back for more!

This place is great.  it has plentey of space to walk around and meet people. It is outdoors and has an inside bar area with pool tables and a juke box. It does not get crowded so if you want to go out and avoid a crowd this is a great place to check out. It has docking spaces for boats if you want to pull up by the sea. They have pool partys on sundays which require you to be 21 and up.  so no kiddies.

The only problem i have with this place is they seem to like to blair the music  there for some reason.

A sports pub. Tons of TVs to watch games.  A swimming pool and a hot tub.  Palm trees and cushioned lounge seating.  Neon lights and glass bricks.  Outdoors.  Boat-accessible on the river.  I have two important questions about this awesome concept.

    1.  Why is this located in middle-of-nowhere ghetto looking neighborhood surrounded by industry and condos?
    2.  Why was this place EMPTY when I went there on a weekday holiday (i.e. when is there a time that this place has lots of people in it)?

First timer, had been to the location on miami beach, but this is great - what a cool concept!  Way ahead of its time, but who knows, maybe in our lifetime those new, glitzy river condos will get occupied...
Reminds me of the Clevelander of the 90s before the rest of SoBe got discovered.  Will definitely be back, by boat next time!

This place looks straight off the set of bad boys 2. Black lights, yuppies in boats probably livin la vida coca, swimming pool, excessively loud djs playing bad prog trance. The upside is an extensive menu, cheap drinks for miami, copious space and outdoor seating. Nice place really, even if the people and set up is entertaining.

Get your girl wet, drunk and fed with a water front view, pool and tunes all at once.  I love Irish Pubs and while this one doesn't scream Irish to me it does have potential to be a cool place.

So close to the water that the wake of a passing boat could likely get your feet wet this place could give water front a new meaning.  I like the pool and if they were to through some kind of party that included the pool I could see this place as a lot of fun.

We showed up for dinner and drinks on the early side for this place it appeared as it was pretty empty.  The music was a little loud so we didn't stay and that's why I only gave it 3 stars but there's potential for an updated and improved review since I'll try it again.

I happened to randomly find this place.  I had just eaten at Garcia's on a Saturday for lunch and was looking for a sports bar nearby so the boy could watch his Yankees game afterward.

So I plugged in "sports bar", "miami fl" into Yelp Mobile on my cell and found that the closest bar listed was this place.  We didn't care; we just wanted a place that would be showing the game (and not just the Marlins game).

We walked in the gates (you can't see in much because the place is enclosed by a large green wall) and were surprised.  Looking around, we muttered,  "What the..." and "where ARE we?".

The huge courtyard overlooked a large stretch of the Miami River.  There was a swimming pool.  Lots of Latin families were lounging around and enjoying the hot summer day:  the parents sipped on their drinks and ordered food while their kids splashed in the water.  We walked toward the building/bar in the back and found pool tables and TV screens...and yes, the Yankees game.

Sidling up to the bar, we had a view of the courtyard/pool as well as the river and part of the Miami skyline.  Lots of boats came up to dock, including some party boats that made U-turns to disembark at the bar.  The coolest thing?  Tugboats guiding barges through the river.  I hadn't seen such a thing since I was at the Panama Canal.  The crews on the boats were hanging out on deck watching us just as much as we were watching them.  So I waved and they happily waved back :).  Just like in Panama...although these barges were smaller.

Since it's close to the Miami police station, there will be off-duty or visiting cops often at the bar.  We watched the game with some NYPD homicide detectives.

I don't think I'd come here at night, but during the day on a weekend is great and super relaxed.

[I've uploaded some pictures taken from where we sat at the bar, so check it.]

An offshoot of the Finnegan's bars in Miami Beach, this one in Downtown/Brickell feels like what the others aren't. A nice indoor/outdoor lounging atmosphere (sans the beds and ultra-comfy sittings that's prevalent in South Beach's lounges) on Brickell's side of the River with the backdrop of the skyline clearly visible. There's an outdoor pool, large bars, and a trendy atmosphere even though this is mainly a sports bar.

The food is good grub (not excellent), the drinks are good, and it's a popular place to be on Fridays.

The area is a little sketchy yet evolving. While it is walkable, there's nothing to walk to in its close vicinity except for maybe a Publix or a park but neither would be open in the wee morning hours. Parking is on a little strip of sand by its exterior walls. If that's taken, then you have to park by the meters.
