Oh my goodness, oh my dayum. :) (Look up Daym Drops on YouTube -- love that guy.) I also love Five Guys, though it is kinda expensive and you have to wait for your food (but that's because it's freshly made). I miss the Charlestown Road location but this one still offers good service, fries and burgers. Love the variety of toppings, even though I will always get the same ones every visit. Sigh.
Review Source:"This better be a damn good burger for $11," I said as we sat down at our table. Â And, you know what? Â It was a good burger; just not for $11. Â
That $11.10 included the small cheeseburger, regular fries and a regular soda. Â
The burger was very fresh and reminded me of In 'N Out on the West Coast (though that joint will give you a meal for under $6). Â You get to choose as many toppings as you like which is nice. The bun suffered under the strain, but it held.
There are a ridiculous amount of fries in a regular serving. You get a cup of fries (that's enough, thanks) and then they take another scoop and just drop it in the bag. I'm a little compulsive, so I kept eating fries until everyone was done and they had to tell me to stop. The fries tasted fine on the whole, but many are soggy with oil and they were EXTREMELY salty.
Service was fine, but I didn't have the overwhelming experience that some of the other reviewers experienced.
Overall, food was good, but definitely not a good value. I'd put 5 guys slightly above Wendy's in the taste dept, but at twice the price it is tough to justify.
