**********************FOOD POISONING*****************************
Just wanted to alert yelpers that before you choose this restaurant, please read my review.
I decided to try Fleming's based on the Yelpers reviews. I tried the peppercorn steak, with mashed potato, and green beans. Within 15-20 minutes after leaving the restaurant I got a sore throat, followed by an upset stomach. I don't have to describe anything else from here. Food poisoning is not fun, and considering it's now Tuesday, I am still feeling the effects from my dinner Saturday evening. This isn't the first time I have gotten food poisoning and it won't be the last.
From what i do remember, the food was very bland here. The steak was nothing spectacular, and the mashed potatoes were served cold and not fresh. Salad was bagged iceburg lettuce.
I am not sure what I got sick on, but would never entertain coming back. Our server Mason was also rude, but my stomach had my attention more than anything. It's also pitch black in here, whether dining or the bathrooms, why do they have the lights so dim? Â
Awful place, I didn't even get into my bill.
As a Native New Yorker, I'm really particular about my NY Strips. I prefer them Medium Rare with a nice Char. I received a Perfectly Medium rare with a superior char. My Server (Chris) was knowledgeable and  attentive. The ambiance was engaging and I had great time. I Will be back soon!
Review Source:It is always a treat for my husband and me dining at Flemings!  We LOVE the Sunday prime rib special for $39 that includes a wonderful bread basket with 2 lovely artisan butters,  a choice of 3 delectable salads, served with a chilled fork (love these pampering touches)  the excellent prime rib entree with 3 dipping sauces,  a choice of one of Flemings  delicious sides, and desserts to make you swoon- my favorite is the Chocolate lava cake with pistachio studded icecream in a shortbread cup- and REAL whipped cream!  Our lovely server Monica was the best! The atmosphere is so relaxing, the music is not too loud, which seems to be the norm anymore, and we can carry on a conversation without shouting here! SO REFRESHING!
Flemings also presents their wine list on an Ipad now- very cool! Â
We always feel so special here-- the staff is so accommodating without being intrusive, and they genuinely strive to make your dining experience an enjoyable one. Â THank you for a lovely evening- we will keep coming back! Â And thank you too, for the Father's Day gift card- what an unexpected surprise! We are so very lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant in our neighborhood!
Always a happy customer after dining at Flemings in Marlton.
I love steak and this place is perfect for me - awesome delicious steak and a few other interesting things on the menu. They also offer some nice specials from time to time that can really make it more affordable - recently they had a great surf & turf special that was something like $39 for soup or salad, steak, lobster tail and a side (delicious spaghetti squash). Normally it's $39 for the steak alone (or close to it).
My husband LOVES their French Onion Soup above all others and also always gets the Chipotle Mac'n Cheese. The gourmet butters they serve with the bread are yummy and the blue cheese wedge salad is great.
I also want to mention that the manager of this location is very attentive and friendly and always remembers us every time we dine there. He stops by the table and says hello and really seems like he's a genuinely nice guy. He also has great style - LOVE his collection of bow ties and glasses!
Outrageous prices for the quality and portion size. Â The bone in ribeye was definitely not prime, in fact the choice ribeye at SAMs Club is way better. We shared the overpriced pork belly app which was not large enough for 1 at about $16. Â the server improperly opened the bottle of Prosecco and it exploded all over the table. The wedge salad and the spinach dish were tiny and overpriced. Every other steakhouse chain I have been to is head and shoulders over this one.
Review Source:We came here for my mom's birthday and I included that in my online reservation. Everyone staff member that waited on us remembered to say happy birthday, which means they paid attention. It's the little things.
This chain restaurant starts the meal off in a snazzy way with their iPad wine list. Not impressed after realizing all the wine are $8+ glasses. I opted for a dirty martini that was just okay.
The specials on Sunday night were great. 2 of us opted for an under $40 surf and turf option with filet and lobster tail, and the other two opted for the prime rib special with 3 sauces, a starter, and dessert. The meats were all cooked perfectly and the food was very decent; my dad especially enjoyed his wedge salad. No one particularly liked the prime rib sauces, but they didn't miss them during the meal. The sides were good but nothing spectacular.
The service was impeccable, minus our waitress not checking in before dessert. Â Luckily, in their teamwork environment, another waiter was happy to put in our order. Â That was quickly followed by the manager checking in. The meal ended with a gift certificate and a small box of truffles for the birthday girl. How sweet!
The food was good but nothing remarkable - but the service was absolutely stellar. Started in the bar since we were about an hour early and enjoyed some happy hour fare - calamari and chardonnay were a great bargain. Once we were seated in dining, husband and I both had the wedge salad, which was very good. We've tried the wedge at most restaurants and I'd say this was on par. For entree, we special ordered bone-in filet. It wasn't on the menu but our server, Sal, said he would check to see if he could get two for us. Bone-in filet is my absolute favorite cut of meat. He succeeded and procured us two. I ordered mine medium and husband ordered his med-rare. Mine came out medium well. I noted to Sal and showed him my well done edges and he apologized profusely and got me another one. In the mean time, the manager, Andrew, came by and also apologized to no end and offered me a complimentary shrimp cocktail while I waited. By the time my steak got to me, I was pretty full but it was good. I would recommend the Flemings potatoes - they were a highlight. But most importantly, I wanted to provide them a great review, not so much for the food but the superior level of customer service. They really went out of their way to ensure we had a positive dining experience despite some mishaps along the way. On top of the complimentary shrimp cocktail, Andrew also gave me a $25 gift card. This is exceptional customer service in a day and age where it is "rare" (no pun intended). Kudos to server Sal and manager Andrew for going above and beyond.
Review Source:If there were more stars to give I would! This is probably my favorite place in the area to eat. This is what I expect when I go to a steakhouse. Incredible service, an extremely large wine list, great atmosphere (although sometimes a tad noisy). Everything is delcious - the breads, butters, steaks, all of the sides. This place is amazing. Prices are appropriate and often they have specials which always make me feel guilty -- I feel like I'm stealing!
The two best steaks I've ever had were at Fleming's and I've been to all of the local places (Ruth's Chris, Library II, etc). My wealthy and well-traveled father-in-law went here for dinner with my wife and I and he said it was probably the best steak he had ever had. Knowing him this came as a surprise and is a great endorsement.
The only complaint I have is that the place straddles a line between casual and up-scale which feels confusing. You can dress up in a suit and feel appropriate, but the table to your right where people are wearing t-shirts feels weird.
This place is all about your expectations. The food is well prepared. It is a perfectly put together menu for what it is - a steak house that has to serve the masses. They manage to pull it off with some unexpected items like pork belly. It is hard to find any flaws in the preparation.
The place is like Cheesecake Factor of steak houses. Consistent. Appeals to most. A perfect formula for success.
You will not find that "wow, it blew my mind" menu item here. You are not supposed to. You will enjoy your dinner, but if you are like me, you will be left wanting more,
I am somewhat surprised to see all of the 5-star reviews for this chain restaurant.
Guess the denizens of greater-Philadelphia don't know good food when they see it ...
Oh well.
Service was polite but didn't know WTF they were talking about ... which irritates me.
Happy Hour specials were pretty alright.
Steak was god-awful. Â I mean blech! Are you kidding me?
You can probably get a better steak at your not-so-friendly neighborhood crApplebees.
I ordered a RARE filet.
The waitress even quizzed me to see if I knew what that meant (although I am not so sure she knew what it meant?)
I received a medium steak with burned (yes burned) edges.
You can't send it back at that point ...
Sides were priced separately @ ~$8 each.
Mac&Cheeze was delicious, very well done.
All this said ...
I rate it 1 star based mostly upon price and poor service (getting mis-cooked food is a mark of poor service).
No thanks.
One of the best meals we (family) have had in a long time. Â NY strip Oscar was done to perfection, along with my wife's scallops and my children's filet mignon. The service was outstanding. Don't forget the chocolate lava cake. Order it during the meal as it takes about 20 minutes to bake fresh.
Review Source:Visited on Thursday, October 4th with a reservation for 6:45pm. Â BF and I arrived early and they were able to immediately accommodate us with a table. Â I hadn't had a nice steak in many many moons, so I was looking forward to a nice filet. Â I started off with a glass of Maso Canali and my BF with a glass of Mark West, I believe. Â
I ordered the petite filet rare, which prompted the waitress to ask me, "Cool and pink in the center, right?"
When I waited tables, I always had to ask the same thing, which boggled my mind that people didn't know what the difference between rare, med rare, med, med well, and well are. Â I learned that if I didn't ask, people would get so upset at me when they received their meat, not knowing that well-done typically means you need a band saw to slice through it.
When I got my steak, it was very medium inside. Â It was medium well on the edges, and a warm faint pink in the middle....definitely NOT rare. Â I was pretty disappointed that a place that charges $38.95 for a teeny piece of steak could screw up the temperature, but I ate it anyway, because I didn't want to see it go to waste, and medium wasn't going to kill me. Â Personally, if you're going to ask for a filet cooked anything more than medium rare, you might as well not even order a nice cut of meat.
BF ordered the BBQ Scottish Salmon Filet which was on top of a slow roasted mushroom salad. Â It was presented very nicely and, since I am partial to mushrooms, loved the salad.
The two sides we shared were the macaroni and cheese (TO DIE FOR) and the string beans which were absolutely delicious. Â
The atmosphere is very nice, but if you want something intimate, ask to sit farther away from the bar area, the suits can get a little rowdy once they loosen their ties. Â :)
I enjoyed my meal immensely, and hope to be back soon. Â One little mis-cooked steak is not going to keep me away from their mac and cheese!!!!
Eaten at many fine dining establishments over the years in many states and cities across the U.S. I would normally not write about a chain like this. However, this particular Fleming's was one of the best I had ever been too. The staff here was phenomenal in every way. Attentive, well versed, friendly, and if I ever end up in this area again, this place can be my go to dinner venue. I ended up staying ay passed the closing hour eating and having some great wines. The staff at one point came over and we all started chatting.
I really don't think I have to say much about their food...its an upscale steakhouse, there are many of these out there (ruth's chris, mortons, etc. ) The steak choices are always prepared well and the food in general is always good or better than good.
I am only writing about them because of their staff. The staff will change at some point so go now while they have this staff in place and you can see and enjoy their character.
This place is The best steak house around. I'm firmiliar with Flemmings bc I live 6months of the year in az. I never really liked the Flemmings in Chandler az so I never went back. I tried the Flemmings in marlton Nj and fell in love. The BBQ shrimp is awesome, the new york strip is the bomb, and the lava cake is to die for. The staff here is great. As the terminator said  I'll be back :-)
Review Source:Funny that Brian L compared Fleming's to Capital Grille in his review, because that's sort of what I was doing on my second visit there last night. My first visit was just a couple weeks ago for a charity event, so I didn't really get a good idea about the food or drinks. The private room was nice, though!
Last night, I returned with my mom and a family friend for happy hour before hitting up Rizzieri for spa services (yep, we were spoiling ourselves right before Christmas). They have a "five for $6" special that includes select wines, cocktails and appetizers. Since the house vodka is Smirnoff, we skipped the special in favor of Kettle martinis. But we did order calamari, ahi tuna and a garlicky shrimp dish from the happy hour menu.
The food was pretty great. The shrimp came in a ramekin filled with a spicy garlic butter sauce. There was a small piece of bread so we asked for more and received a warm parmesan baguette with two different whipped butters. The calamari was tossed in a slightly sweet sauce with bell and banana peppers.
For our next couple rounds of drinks we decided to try some of the wines from the special. I had a pinot grigio followed by a shiraz and both were nice. We decided to end on a sweet note, so we shared the caramel walnut turtle cake, which came with fresh whipped cream. It was absolutely awesome.
Our server was nice but I felt like I had to flag her down whenever we needed something. When our friend pulled out a card she had for a discount the server told us it wasn't good for happy hour. Then our friend pulled out another card for a comped dessert, and the server's response was just kind of awkward.
For the amount of money we plunked down on happy hour, I did think the prices were a bit high. But we enjoyed ourselves and I liked the food. I'd go back if we made plans there again but I wouldn't go out of my way.
Fleming's is basically the same kind of chain as a Capital Grille. Â I did not know this, but, whatever. Â Wanted to try it out, as AmEx gave me $50 for this place.
The service is quite great frankly. Â The people they hired are nice, punctual, and professional. Â
I can't say that I would come back to this place over Capital Grille though. Â I got the rib eye, but it was alright. Â Nothing mouth watering. Â The mac&cheese was also ok, nothing phenomenal. Â Even with the $50, it still came out to $100 after tip/tax. Â Would def rather somewhere else for that. Â Just the food wasn't worth it for me.
Good, not great though. Having eaten at nearly every steakhouse in Philly, there's nothing that really sets Flemings apart, at least not to me. It is a chain, afterall.
Just came back from happy hour with 3 others - the "5 for $6 till 7" special is 7 days a week, but not nearly as good as the old prime time menu The Palm used to do. We sampled everything on the menu, with the carpaccio and tuna being our favorites. The calamari was notably tender as well, but the shrimp just so-so. Everyone also got a burger, all of which were ordered medium, but all came well. That was a real disappointment - if I can't depend on you to cook a $6 burger to temp, how could I trust you with a $40 cut of beef? Also, much of the waitstaff appeared very, VERY young, suggesting a less polished experience in the dining room.
Overall, it was an OK time out, but it was just OK. We got a decent value for our $96 tab, but nothing like The Palm or Del Friscos offers. I would give them another chance but probably not for dinner.
A bit disappointing for the money.
My Wife and I went here for dinner to try something different. Their prices are comparable to a Mortons, Palm, Old Homestead, or a Ruths Chris and they are obviously aiming for the same demographics, but I think they are missing the mark a little bit. Â All of the meals I have had at these other Steakhouses were much more memorable.
It was a good meal and the service was great, but for the price point that they come in at, the food should have been better. Their price point should be more in line with Outback based on the meal we had.
We started with a Ceasar salad that was pretty good but the croutons had no crunch to them, they were in the in between stage of crunch heading to soggy/stale. The dressing of the salad was tasty with a nice little mustard hint.
Sides were the Mac N Cheese which turned out to be the highlight of the meal and the Half and Half which is fries and rings. The rings were very good but the fries were so varied in size that some were crispy and others were not quite done all the way.
I had the new york strip bone in and it was good, but for $45 I was expecting great. My wife had the petite filet and was very disappointed.
She likes a medium temperature and they did check right in on us when we cut into our meats, but it so dark in there she didn't realize how well it actually was. It was pretty well done and dry.
Chocolate Lava cake for dessert was average.
Unfortunately, we will not return to a Fleming's based on our experience.
I am surprised to see so many good reviews for this restaurant. Guess I should go there again for Happy Hour only!
The prices are totally outrageous! $45.00 for a steak with no vegetables or potatoes? Totally absurd! Sorry folks...the steaks just aren't worth $45.00 unless you have money to burn. If you want a salad, potatoes or any veggie, you're going to pay an additional $8.00 per item and the serving sizes are small.
I could name 10 other restaurants where the food is far superior, the atmosphere is just as chic and the service exceptional. Fleming's is a total rip off! I would never go there for dinner again.
Great, great steaks. Â Great, great carpaccio. Â Great, great drinks. Â Great, great service.
I haven't had a bad meal here, and their happy hour is really good. Â They've got 5 mixed drinks, 5 wines, and 5 appetizers/foodstuffs for $6 until 7 PM (567-menu). Â We ALWAYS order the carpaccio, which, for $6, is a HUGE portion. Â The entire plate is filled with thinly sliced, deliciously raw beef, and garnished with scallions, thinly shaved egg whites, capers, and a great mustard sauce. Â It's well worth the $12 they hit you for outside of the happy hour bar menu. Â Believe me.
I've gotten two burgers here, both the $6 cheeseburger, that's cooked perfectly rare, and served with two slices of perfect bacon. Â A better burger you cannot find in a restaurant for $12. Â
The steak review is what you're all waiting for, though...right? Â I ordered a ribeye steak, like I always say, "As rare as legally possible." Â Wow. Â That's the best review I could come up with. Â Seared outside, raw inside, just the way I like it, no special sauces or glazes, just a perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned steak. Â Second only, in my mind, to What's Your Beef, in Rumson, which is a hell of a hike from Cherry Hill.
Prices are pretty good, especially if you're able to happy hour. Â We got a bottle of wine the one time we sat at a table, and it was about $45 or so. Â A shade expensive, but nowhere near the markup that Redstone hits you with.
The only issue I have with this place is that when it's busy for happy hour, like it was last night, there can be a lot of douchey people. Â I firmly believe that middle aged white women should not be permitted to gather in groups and drink together in upscale establishments. Â Call me a bigot, I don't care. Â Every time I see them, they're drinking the 'low calorie martini' and getting shitfaced, screaming and laughing to the detriment of the surrounding clientele. Â There were no fewer than four groups of women doing this very thing last night. Â Lamers. Â Do your part:
DO NOT LET GROUPS OF MIDDLE AGED WHITE WOMEN CONGREGATE AND DRINK LOW CALORIE MARTINIS IN UPSCALE RESTAURANTS!!!
My boyfriend and I ate here a few weeks ago for the first time. Â It was a Saturday around 8PM and we didn't feel like going into the city to our go-to place for steak (Chima), so we checked out Fleming's. Â I wasn't expecting too much since I was told it is a chain. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon walking in (kind of dark, lounge-like, with a good crowd). Â
Since we went on a Saturday for dinner, it was packed. Â However, we lingered around the bar after ordering two of the Fleming's Classic Martinis and shortly had ourselves two of the best bar spots in the entire restaurant...in a cut-out corner of the bar with lots of legroom. Â We also had a lot of room on the bar so decided to give up our table reservation (which they took upon walking in even though they were packed) and ordered to eat at the bar.
I had the mushroom ravioli and crab cakes which were both DELICIOUS. Â I wanted to lick the plate of the mushroom ravioli...the sauce was SOOOOO GOOD. Â My boyfriend ordered the Peppercorn Filet which he said was spectacular and the macaroni and cheese (called something special). I tasted the macaroni and cheese and it was excellent as well.
We had a few more Dirty Martinis and talked to both the bartender and the barback (who spoke just like Kat Williams). Â Very friendly guys. Â We were so comfy and enjoyed our meals and drinks very much.
Since we had seen the Happy Hour menu on Saturday, we went back a week later for Happy Hour.  We sat at one of the tabletops and ordered from the HH menu.  There are a number of drinks for $6 each and appetizers for  $5...note that they are choice drinks and apps that are on the HH menu..not ALL appetizers and drinks.  I was so happy to see my mushroom ravioli on the HH menu and ordered those.  My boyfriend got the Fleming Burger.  We were once again pleased with everything.
Good solid place for steak, great apps, and great drinks with a relaxing vibe.
Went this past weekend with my in laws. I'll number my comments, good and bad.
1)There was no wait to be seated but once we were seated the waiter took forever to get there. We were asked if we wanted water by the manager, the bus boy, and then finally the waiter, 10 minutes later.
2)The bread was an amazing parmesan bread. It was accompanied by a feta spread (amazing) and a sun dried tomato butter (also amazing.)
3)The wine selection is AMAZING.
4)After an extensive wait, suuuuuch a looooooong wait, we finally got our food. Seriously the wait was long. We were seated at 7:45 and didn't get our food until 8:50. I ordered a medium rare steak, I know they don't take that long to cook. It was however, delicious.
5) All of the food was AMAZING. SERIOUSLY GREAT. My steak was well seasoned and at the perfect temperature. Our sides were Garlic Mashed, Sauteed Mushrooms, and Asparagus and they were all delicious.
6) They gave us each $25gc for the wait and bc we knew one of the waiters.
In summation, I would go back in a heartbeat, the food really was that good. Hopefully they don't take so long next time.
Went on Valentine's weekend. Â Very busy! Â Food was very good - though both our steaks came out way undercooked. Â Server took them back and they were returned by a manager. Â Kind of disappointed in the fact that they blew two steaks (for a "steakhouse"!) Â That in itself brought our rating down. Â Other than that - spot on service and the remainder of the food was excellent. Â Awesome desserts! Â Had an awesome cheesecake that was accompanied by a small bowl of awesome whipped cream!
Review Source:Happy hour here is great -- the drink and appetizer specials are fantastic, affordable, and tasty. Â You can even get healthy appetizers, like shrimp or tuna, on special. Â One of the best expresso martinis I've ever had. Â The staff is friendly and the service is great. Â Prices are comparable to other high end steak houses.
Review Source:I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I had been there twice for happy hour, which has good wines and good apps for the $6 reasonable price, but I wasn't sure what to expect from a chain for dinner. My wife and I both had filets an they were cooked perfectly. I had the peppercorn sauce, which is a wine reduction and it was great - great compliment to the steak. The sides (mushrooms and spinach) were great, the dessert (Lemon gingerbread custard) was great. Cost was $168 with 3 glasses of wine so it's a little pricey - but i think it was worth it.
Review Source:My husband and I walked into this place thinking that we'd spend a fortune and have a great meal. Â With genuine surprise we got off easy with the Happy Hour Menu at the bar. Â To my knowledge, it runs everyday from 3 -7pm. Â Not only is it inexpensive, but the portions are all full size and full flavor as well. Â
We sat at the bar since we prefer bar seating due to my husbands addiction to sports especially College Football. Â The bar is comfortable, fancy, and clean. Â There are also tables in the bar section if you want a more private and intimate experience. Â It wasn't crowded at all on an early Saturday evening.
We indulged on the Tenderloin Carpaccio, Calamari, the Prime Burger with cheddar and bacon, and washed it down with $3 Heineken's from the Happy Hour Menu. Â The appetizer's were great, and the burger was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. Â We also ordered the green bean side dish from the regular menu, and that was plenty of food. Â On top of that I had a glass of ice wine for dessert, a superb suggestion of the bartender.
After spending $70 including a 25% tip, we decided that this is our new spot. Â I'm hoping to oust the current Duke asap.
Excellent.
I'll make it quick.
Service was very good.
The Appetizers were super, the Ahi Tuna was made perfectly.
Salads are very large and can be shared.
Entrees were spot on!
Steaks cooked perfectly.
Side Dishes are large enough to share.
The management, Henry and Lee along with the staff were excellent and professional. The waiter, Adam was terrific!
Yes, its pricey but you know this going in. Very good experience!
a steakhouse is a steakhouse. Â so it's hard to say whether this should be 4 or 5 stars.
the food was obvs good, but really...how can a steakhouse mess up steak?
did the girl thing and had a petite filet mignon (6 oz). Â it was mignon. Â comparatively teeny next to the hulking 16 oz. strip & porterhouse but just right for me as a moderate red meat eater. Â preferred to have more variety of sides anyway. Â snap peas were an unusual touch.
wine list was MORE than reasonable. Â the waitress's wine recos were a little questionable so go with what you know if you know.
enjoy your visit to the burbs...
I recently had dinner at the new Flemings Steak House in Marlton NJ. I ordered a shrimp app, a fleming salad and a petit filet (and tow single malt scotches). The shrimp app came out and it was good but it was cold (not supposed to be), the Fleming salad with citrus dressing was the BOMB and the filet was great, properly cooked and delicious.
So Flemings passed the food test but here is where the won the game. The shrimp app was cold and I didn't complain until a manager (Ari Kliet) came by to ask and I casually mentioned it was cold. I told him it was good but cold. He immediately solved the problem no questions despite my protestations.
So, what was once a medium review is noe a GREAT review thanks to Ari, Jason and Lisa (the bartenders) that did a GREAT job. I will return and tell my friends
I had the opportunity to join a group of co-workers and clients at the brand new Fleming's Steakhouse the has been open just a few weeks in Marlton, NJ. Owned by the same parent company as Outback Steakhouse, I was not really sure what to expect.
I was VERY pleasantly surprised!!
First of all, for a Tuesday night, it was good to see such a great crowd in the place. The staff was friendly and attentive, suggesting appetizers and wines for the table. The cold seafood platters that we chose were exquisite and plentiful, but were also not inexpensive. At $95 each, I would not be ordering this item unless I was with a large group. I appreciated the professionalism and eagerness of the staff to work with our group of 15, which can often be a daunting task even when the staff knows they will be well compensated.
The Sommelier was helpful to me as a new wine drinker and took the time to speak with me about my likes and dislikes before suggesting a glass that was quite enjoyable.
The food was excellent! Every dish brought to our table was presented beautifully, cooked as ordered and served in the correct order and with the correct side items. I ordered lamb and I am very picky about how I like my dishes served and I had no complaints at all.
The atmosphere is a little dark, but is also soft and inviting and very different from so many places in this area. I've told a number of people about this place and cannot wait to go back again.
