Hi All, I don't consider myself a food snob however, I do know the difference between a restaurant that is making an effort to be good and one that doesnt give a crap. This place is the latter. The problem is, places like this can exist in this area because they have no real competition. My kids and I ordered a ceasar salad and a pizza to share. Caesars are one of my favorite salads so I order them at least 50% of the time when eating out. Needless to say I have had a few.The Caesar was HORRIBLE. I was served a plate of shredded lettus with stale croutons and some grated motzarella cheese on top. The dressing was flavorless, actually I questioned wether there was dressing on the salad. My daughter and I had two bites of the salad and took one look at each other and frowned. We pushed the salad aside and hoped the pizza would be better. Well the pizza was better but remember the bar in this area has not been set very high so we ate anyhow. Flavors were decent, sauce, cheese, peperoni, etc....But, super think crust and tons of cheese; A total gut bomb. Maybe I went on an off night but since I work hard for my money I wont be going back.
Review Source:Their spaghetti is decent and if you go one Wednesday it is all you can eat. Â Gather some friends, get a pitcher of beer, and enjoy in a nice cozy environment.
I did order the tortilla encrusted tilapia and found that it was purchased from the Hannaford grocery store across the street (disappointing). Â Their servers are generally very nice and I think they end up getting short shift because patrons are not warned that they cannot put tips on credit cards and they are charged for take out containers. Â What restaurant does this?!
Food is over priced for the quality pizza crust is dry and blah not to mention the little things like when you order chicken wings there they do not have blue cheese or even ranch the only dressing they do have is the house Greek. Ohh and they charge 3$ per soda no free refills overall its not worth your money.I would go to Aj's for pizza and crises cafe for salad and soups don't wait your time or money here
Review Source:not quite diner, not quite pizzeria...but somewhere in the odd middle ground.
at first glance, the pizza looks like deep dish, but it's not - the crust is just curled up high.
started off with some mozzarella sticks and garlic bread with cheese. garlic bread was great - crispy all around. mozzarella sticks were good - stayed solid and crispy, didn't get soggy.
as for the pizza - we ordered a margarita pizza. went with the smallest size, which, in addition to the appetizers, meant we weren't hungry, but we also weren't stuffed. quality was good. dough was nice and crispy, crushed tomatoes weren't overly soggy (sometimes they are when you get margarita slices). plenty of basil to kick in the flavor.
price was only real downer. $25 for the pie, sticks, garlic bread, and I had an orange soda - I felt for the price, the pie could've been larger (it was something like $11 for what amounts to a personal pie size). on the plus side, service was extremely fast.
they have gyros, baklava, and other Greek stuff on the menu.
added entertainment factor: sitting behind us was an old lady who had smoking for so long, her voice sounded just like Harvey Fierstein. you know, the gravelly-voiced guy from "Independence Day", "Death to Smoochy", "Mrs. Doubtfire" and other movies.
Ugh... horrible place. Â The food is mediocre and the pizza may need a Fifth Brother, because it's terrible compared to the nearby options (La Bella and Mark's Pizza). Â I can definitely make better pizza at home. Â As for their entrees and grinders, subpar. Â Cheesesteak sandwich has so much mayo in it, you'll be grossed out from the sensation of eating a jar of mayo. Â For general dining, Main Street Cafe nearby is a better option.
Review Source:My family has been going here for years for their pizza and greek salads, but not really much else. I can't speak for the rest of their menu, but their pizzas are definitely some of the tastiest I've had. Price is about right for the quality to.
Inside they've got some nice murals painted on the wall, the atmosphere is very laid back, casual family style place. Nice place to go if you want just a slow, leisurely meal.
I found the food to be mediocre at best and do not enjoy the pizza at all. The prices are above-average for the quality of food they serve.
The service is just fine, except that you are not warned that they do not put tips on the credit cards, which is strange and possibly detrimental to the fine waitstaff. We've been twice and will not return.
If there were half stars, I would probably give 4 brothers 3 1/2 stars. I used to eat here a lot with the family, but our favorite pizza places were the thin-crust variety. The pizza is not deep dish, but it is thick and it tends to come out overly greasy no matter what toppings you get. Good antipasto and average pizza. The quest for a great pie continues.
Review Source:Four Brothers is one of our favorite family pizza places, which is popular with families and large groups of teenagers. It's located at the 9/9H/State Farm Rd roundabout across from the Hannaford shopping center and right smack next door to the Ichabod Crane Schools, which was notorious in the 1980s for having more SNOW DAYS than any other area school. I can remember back in the 1980s when there was even a flake of snow on the ground, the radio DJ would announce: "ICHABOD CRANE, CLOSED!" How so lucky they were.
My folks and my friends have been stopping at Four Brothers for many years for the good pizzas, Greek salads, antipasto, and cold beer when we're traveling back to Albany from the Mid Hudson Valley. Check out the menu at: http://www.fourbrothersp… This location now offers SUSHI, at a pizza place? Who woulda thought?? Yes, there is a Sushi Bar near the front entrance.
This place is very casual with finished wood trim and wait staff service. The homestyle pizza is very good with lots of toppings and cheese, though the crust was slightly charred last visit. Their famous Greek Salad Dressing is for sale by the bottle or tub. The service here is good each time.
