Great lunch with friends from work. Everyone enjoyed their food, Steak tip sandwich, frenchie burger, a wrap and few other burgers. Â Great beer list and our waitress was very helpful. She gave great suggestions for those that were not sure what to get.
It's not 5 stars because a Sam Summer was 6.50
I don't know what is it about this place, but I just really like it. The food is good and the atmosphere is fun. They have some decent vegetarian options and the staff is usually really friendly. I do think their prices especially for seafood are pretty high, that's why I'm not giving them five stars. I've always had a good time at the fours and it seems to be a go to meeting place for my friends and I. I have also attended some private events in their function room and those have always been great as well. It can get really crowded on game nights so make sure you get there early if you want to grab a seat at the bar.
Review Source:Always a good time. Super crowded every night at the Quincy location, so it's a great way to meet people.
Food is amazing. Everything is made in-house -- including soups. You won't be disappointed no matter what you get.
The downfall is it's a bit pricey. Not a place to hang out if you're on a budget.
Steak tips here are very good, and they're whole menu usually is pretty good. Â They have a good bar friendly whatever as well. Â Not always the best service (it can be pretty busy), and I feel like I have to leave the restaurant/bar to use the bathroom (which isn't always a great experience), but overall highly recommended for usual Bostonian Fair or watching sports, enjoying beer experience!!!
Review Source:1 star is generous. I have never been treated as poorly as I was at the fours. I went with a group of 10. We called earlier that day to make a reservation and was told that they don't take reservations but asked that we call on our way to give the staff a heads up that a large party was coming. So we did. And we were hung up on. Despite this we still went to the restaurant only to meet the rudest host staff I have ever encountered. Once we were ready to be seated we asked if it would be easier for the waitress if we ordered in smaller groups to split the check 3 or 4 ways instead of 10. She then snapped at us that there was an ATM in the lobby. After a few more minutes of snarky comments and rude behavior we got up and left. I have never been treated so poorly at a place where we had been planning to buy a lot of drinks and leave a big tip. The only reason the fours gets 1 star and not 0 is because the bartender made us a round of chocolate covered pretzel shots that were incredible and he was the only staff member who knew how to treat his patrons.
We left and went to Aculpocos up the street and had a great meal, incredible margaritas, and a wonderful waitress - who did get a big tip.
Great, greasy bar food...except for the spinach dip. I dont know what the deal was but we were served clam chowder base with spinach and artichoke chunks in it. I have never had spin dip before that wasnt a cheese base. My hunch is that the kitchen ran out of some ingredients and made do with whatever was on hand because that was NOT spinach dip( or their spinach dip is just really gross and soupy). I wouldnt even care but when the waitress noticed we didnt eat any of it she argued with us, and then the manager argued with us and they didnt even take it off the bill!
Review Source:we went there for lunch today and were shocked to learn they've raised their drink prices, which were already the most expensive in quincy center......the price of a guinness has gone up to $7.00 a pint.....this is a $1.50 increase......this had been one of our favorite places in the area......we won't be going back.....this increase is an insult and robbery
Review Source:OVERALL: Great food, great prices, and a HUGE bar!
Quality: 5 stars. Â Had the special, land and sea. Â Great food, high quality. Â
Service: 5 stars. Â Always there with a smile, fulfilling whatever you need.
Atmosphere: 4 stars. Â Huge bar, decent size dining room.
Price: 5 stars. Â Cheap prices for what you get. Â
Notes: Been there a few times. Â Never not satisfied with the food. Â The bar choices are amazing. Â Specials are usually excellent as well. Â This has become a mainstay of ours. Â Love the manager too. He loves IPA's and keeps many in stock. Â Good man. Â Never had anything bad, great food all around. Â A ton of TV's keep you entertained, especially when there is a game on. Â No bad seats. Â The crowd is mixed and friendly.
The good:
- Servings were a normal human size, not the outrageously huge platters that you get other places.
- The mac & cheese (which is the standard by which I judge most places) was delicious. Very cheesey with a nice garlic-y taste.
- I sampled my husband's steak tips and fries, which were also very good.
The bad:
- Our waitress was a bit slow in taking our order and bringing us the check
- I was craving a Shirley Temple (yes, I realize that I am an adult) but there was barely any grenadine in the one I ordered.
- A little pricier than expected.
LOVE this place. Casual, upscale sportsbar feel. Have sat at the bar and the dining room and both are a hustle and bustle of friendly activity. The food is amazing and tastes homemade, not frozen. They also have sides like macaroni salad and homemade baked beans. Both are great and I'd get these instead of fries anyday!
Review Source:Decent place for a game and food, plus it's pretty clean inside. The Fours is a safe pick for a sports bar around the area. I went for a Bobby Riggs Club, which was not bad...not too dry and with good turkey and bacon. The pasta salad was average.
I had the fish n' chips another time and it was a generous portion of fish, and the fish was very good. Definitely recommend that dish, as it had quantity and quality.
The service was okay...though nothing special at all. I expect places like this to have subpar food, so when it's actually not terrible, I get surprised by it.
So good this place should teach "How to Be an Awesome Restaurant/Bar" Â class. Â The service is always excellent whether you sit at the bar or in the restaurant - friendly bartenders, helpful attentive waitstaff can always be counted on. Â The burgers, apps, entrees, pizzas - are all excellent. Â Even their salads are not just average - they are excellent. Â The baby spinach salad is deliciousssss! Â
I have been to the Quincy location about 100 times (don't judge me...) and have always had such great experiences. Â On Sunday we went to celebrate my son's birthday and our party of 9 was never left waiting for anything, everyone's dinner was excellent and our fantastic waitress was happy to bring out our birthday cake along with cake server, extra plates, etc. Â
I have been to all three locations and always have the same great experience.
Recently my friends and I were around our hometown for Christmas and met up for brunch. We tried to go to Remmicks, which we'd heard good things about, but it was locked with no explanation. We headed to the Fours as a back up- and were all very happy we did.
I haven't been there in quite a while, but we all had great food (I had the buffalo chicken mac n cheese- yum! and not offered a lot of places), mimosas and bloody marys, there was festive Christmas music playing, and the game was on the TVs. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive.
All in all we ended up glad the other place had been closed. The Fours may have gotten rid of their brunch menu but I don't think any of us missed it!
My company comes here a lot for after work drinks, and or lunch. Their buffalo chicken sandwich (which has a name of a famous baseball player that I can't remember) is great. They have a nice beer selection, and they usually have Dogfish Head which is one of my favorite beers.
I'm not into sports so I can't judge how the sports channels are, but they seem to have a lot of televisions at the bar with different channels.
Their sit down are is also great and the wait staff are prompt and friendly. Highly suggest going here.
Stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening recently. It was crowded with a 30 minute wait. Ordered the nachos which were very good, clam chowder which was excellent. For dinner we had The Yaz (pastrami) Â Bobby Orr (steak tips) sandwiches which were good. The only thing that keeps me from 4 stars was the iceberg lettuce wedge was soaked in blue cheese dressing to the point it was overwhelming. Overall I think it was a good experience for a pub food experience.
Review Source:The Fours is kick ass. Â I proclaimed on Twitter the other day that they have the best sandwich right outside of Boston and it's called the Robert Parish. Â Grilled marinated portabella mushroom with roasted red peppers and provolone cheese drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette on ciabatta bread. Â Add some caramelized onions to that? Â I'm talking heaven. Â HEAVEN.
The Fours introduced me to Baked Beans and I'll never turn back. Â The husband won't stray from anything other than the Johnny Kelley Sandwich (fried chicken cutlet with melted Swiss cheese and supreme sauce on a fresh roll). Damn that thing is good. Â Like stupid simple good.
The service is always on spot and it's a great place to just hang out. Â I'm giving it five stars for being a super go-to outside of Boston and knowing that everything about this place will always make me happy.
Between games of Boston sports teams on many televisions. the names of Boston sports legends serving as the name of the sandwiches on the menu, and the portraits of same Boston sports legends adorning the walls would probably piss off a Yankees fan. That enough is reason for me to love this place.
On tonight's visit, we received very attentive service. Our server was quick to refill our soft drinks as they started to get low; our order was taken on time when we were ready, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Manager even checked in on us to make sure everything was okay.
The sandwiches were very good. I had the Bobby Orr, a steak tip sandwich that featured juicy tender steak tips and melted American cheese on a fresh seeded roll. I ordered mine topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions for a little extra, which served as a great accompaniment to the steak tips. The sandwich was absolutely delicious! I tasted my wife's grilled buffalo chicken sandwich. That too was very good, with a big juicy chicken breast, although I found the buffalo sauce a little hot for my liking (I'm a wimp).
The sandwiches come with fries, baked beans, and a pickle spear. While the fries were hot and crispy, they don't really stand out from typical frozen fries served at so many casual restaurants. The beans were tasty, although a bit heavy on brown sugar and a little thick.
It's easy to say that I'll be back, since I'm kind of a regular there anyway. It's an all around good sports pub...my kind of place.

I visited The Fours twice in the last month. (which were the first two times I ever visited it). Â The first time I went with a friend for lunch on a Saturday. Â I ordered a Malibu and diet coke, along with some fancy grilled cheese meal, and sweet potato fries.
It was delicious, no complaints on the food. Â It also came with a cup of clam chowder, which was really good. Â The service seemed adequate, no complaints there. Â It comes off as an upscale sports bar.
I went again, this time introducing  another friend to the place.
I had an AMAZING burger. Â I love burgers, and this is among the top 5 burgers I've had. I asked for it medium and it came medium. Not medium well. Â It was great, juicy, full of taste.
The service, however, was very very slow. Â While it was busy, I could see our waitress cleaning or something, and walk by us several times without checking on us. Â Getting the check felt like an eternity. Â It was a Saturday night, around 8pm.
I do recommend it, but the service the second time around caught me off guard. Â
The prices are reasonable - I think my meal with two drinks (the burger) was $24 and his was $24 as well.
This place has been a Quincy institution for probably 10 years or so now. It caters to the sports bar crowd with a bunch of little TVs you can ask to be tuned to whatever sports thing your little bar section is interested in. It's useful for football season or if you're a huge fan of Indy cars or collegiate lacrosse or the X-games or something.
In reality though there are usually only one, sometimes a pair of events on that are worth watching at once. Occasionally the Bruins and Celts will be in the playoffs on the same night or something. Or the Sox are chasing a playoff spot on a Sunday that the Pats are playing a rival. But normally it's collegiate Lacrosse and Indy cars or other such unwatchable stuff. And watching anything on a 19" screen that's mounted about 8 feet high and 5 feet behind the bar is pretty much like watching the radio. They did install a few big screens in certain areas that compensated recently though.
The food has always been pretty good in my opinion. The pasta salad side, baked beans, and fries that come with pretty much everything are great. The sandwiches are usually cooked spot on and they're pretty tame but decent quality.
However, you can easily get something of similar quality at any number of places in the immediate vicinity for about 20% less cost. The Fours is pretty overpriced for what you get. Almost $6 for a draft beer? This isn't the Back Bay. I'm not sure if they still do this but they used to have half price pizza after 10pm, which is pretty sweet. The pizza is flat bread grilled and is pretty good. I haven't been there in a while but a friend of mine says they knocked the prices down a little bit so maybe I'm wrong on that now.
As far as the patrons go it's hit or miss. I've been in there randomly and it's a total cougar den. I'm talking like a serious divorcee mixer. Big hair, jeans up to the bellybutton, shoulder pads, the works. Other times it looks like a bunch of yuppies. Probably attorneys from the courthouse and bankers from the financial companies in the area. Other times it's all young people on dates. It's weird. No rhyme or reason from what I can tell.
The first few times I went here I loved it, but recently it's been less of a hit.
All of the sandwiches and salads are good. The nachos are delicious.
If you go on a weekend, the bar will be packed and you will probably have to wait for a table.
I went yesterday and asked about the gluten-free bread, because it is advertised on their menu. Our waitress just looked at me, so I repeated my question (Is it a gluten-free bun or more like sliced bread for a sandwich?) Her response: It's gluten free.
Okay.. Nevermind. I wasn't really in the mood to talk to a wall.
I got a burger with no bun and sweet potato fries. The burger was a tad overcooked, but really good. And the sweet potato fries were good as well. I wish they had a dipping sauce for them, but my friend said they were the best sweetpo fries she has ever had. I don't know about that, but they were a great addition to the burger. The baked beans were room temp, so I didn't eat them. It took a while for us to get our check, too, and it was a slow night, so I don't really get what was up..
In the past I have gotten the steak tips or nachos, and those are amazing. I'll definitely be back. I just wish the quality was more consistent.
P.S. They also deliver, which is cool, but my friends and I have had spotty experiences with that as well. It's better to eat there.
Went to The Fours based on yelp's reviews. Boy...was I underwhelmed. Our waitress was extremely slow and unresponsive. I had heard decent reviews about the Buffalo Wings, but they were terrible! Absolutely atrocious! The BBQ Burger was terrible. It was dry and crumbly. I know the Bruins were on TV, but I didn't want to get served a hockey puck.
The only highlight were the nachos. They were really good.
No need to return to this establishment, especially with The Fat Cat down the street. Great wings there!
Nice place to eat in Quincy. Its menu is sports themed and items are named after famous Boston athletes. It has a nice dining and bar area, and even though its quiet enough for a good meal, there are tv's around to watch the game.
I had the meatloaf dinner, which came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Everything was tasty. My work colleague had scrod and rice. It looked really good and she said that she always gets it, so I am sure it is.
The waitress also brought out some rolls, which were good and warm. Overall a nice place and I will definitely come back again.
A group of friends and I went to The Fours for a birthday dinner this weekend, but it didn't exactly start off on the right foot. My friend, who was celebrating her big day, called the restaurant days ahead of time to make her reservation. We arrived at the restaurant right on the dot, but were told we'd need to wait just a few minutes becaue our table was being set up. A few turned into nearly 20 minutes, and when we inquired the host about our seats, we were informed that they'd forgot about us! The birthday girl was not at all pleased and expressed her frustration with the restaurant's manager. He was very apologetic and gracious, offering us a free appetizer. A win for The Fours--other businesses can learn a lesson here by listening to their customers and improving their services.
Now, while The Fours might be a sports-themed restaurant, it goes beyond the typical burger and fries fare (thankfully!) I ordered the grilled salmon with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes are off...the...hook! Seriously! For the meat eater, there's a mix of seafood, poultry and beef on the menu. Unfortunately vegetarians are a bit limited. (As someone who doesn't eat red meat, may I suggest that the restaurant include turkey burgers and veggie burgers as substitutes for its beef burgers?) Oh, and for some of you with food allergies, you're in luck: gluten-free dishes are served at this restaurant. The birthday girl who ordered one gave it her seal of approval.
By the end of the meal, we were all stuffed. But everyone had to make room for an unexpected surprise: the waitress brought out a b-day dessert for all to share. Yet another win for The Fours.
If you're looking for an intimate dinner for two, this is not the place for you. Â If you're looking to catch up with a good friend, over drinks, and shit-talk everyone who's wronged you in the past with no regard of who can hear you... well, my friend, this is for you. Â It gets extremely loud in here sometimes when there's a game on. Â However, it's a fun crowd and most of everyone is paying attention to the game.
The food is nothing spectacular. Â It's your standard pub fare. Â But if you're looking for an appetizer, you definitely want to try the buffalo chicken nachos. Â You can get it with grilled chicken if you'd like, but "nachos" and "healthy" are inversely proportional. Â But the food isn't bad by any means. Â My friend and I came in after work one night and split a few beers, the buffalo chicken nachos, and two burgers. Â The food was edible and we didn't die of food poisoning. Â It's a comfort food kind of thing. Â I'm not sure if I'd come here for steaks and seafood. Â
The service here is great. Â It's a very fast-paced restaurant, so you don't have to worry about a server stopping by your table every two minutes. Â However, the service is very attentive and professional.
Food is mediocre. The Larry Bird grilled chicken sandwich came out undercooked. Â A second attempt at it resulted in shoe leather burned "grilled chicken.". Â So much for sending undercooked chicken back!!
The sides were so bland. Pasta salad had little dressing on it if any. The baked beans tasted like ordinary canned baked beans which the chef throws in a tiny spice for originality.
Portion sizes were so small! Â I think the side of beans amounted to 4 bites!
Bartenders friendly as always though. The bar area is clean and volume, despite a zillion tvs, was fine.
I doubt I'll eat here again but will probably return for cold beer.
Every sports bar in American should take a lesson from The Fours.
As I saw someone else say in their review, "The Fours is a Class Act". I couldn't agree more. If you are looking for overpriced bottles of bud light and for your waitress to be wearing a Red Sox t-shirt then keep looking because the Fours is not your kind of place. The service at The Fours is top notch, as is the food and beverage. I can't ever recall not enjoying a visit to The Fours and I highly recommend it. It should go without saying that The Fours is a great place to watch a game. Their TV situation is definitely a good one.
I pretty much like anything with a side of baked beans. Especially the baked beans from here. They're spicy and sweet... yum.
The hubby and I have gone twice already to the Fours and both times we've enjoyed our meals. It's a straight up sports bar with a pretty decent menu.
Our faves were the Buffalo Chicken Nachos ($10.95) - tortilla chips with tomatoes, scallions and mozzarella cheese. Topped with diced fried chicken and Buffalo sauce.  I had the Johnny Kelley ($10.95) - Fried chicken cutlet with melted Swiss cheese served on a sesame roll. I requested mine with Sautéed Mushrooms.. So good, we returned a week later for it. The fries were great every time. Seasoned and Crispy. And every sandwich comes with a side of their yummy baked beans.
The service here was friendly and quick. Even on a busy game night we were never neglected. This place can get pretty full... expect a wait on a Friday night.
Good Food and Outdoor dining for the summer heat!
PS. Their Pizza is half price every night from 10pm til close. Great for a late night snack.
YUM!
Sometimes I want a nice meal and a good cocktail. Nothing fancy, just good. That brings me to The Fours.
Yes, The Fours is a sports bar, yes it is a popular sports bar, yes it will be busy if you go there for dinner on a Saturday night.
Now that THAT is out of the way.
The Fours is also a great place for dinner.
Staff is perfect, fast, friendly and on top of things. I have NEVER had poor service here.
The specials are always interesting and delicious. The regular menu is also great, I suggest the Gorgonzola Burger  and also the Steak and Cheese Egg Rolls (the sauce this comes with is AMAZING HOLY CRAP).
SInce this IS a bar and one that it seems people go to to get WHOA WASTED they have a great and plentiful beer and cocktail menu. From what I have seen they do a great job keeping it up to date and fresh/inventive.
If you want to avoid YaDudes and WOOGirls I would stay away on weekends, but the dining room feels separate enough that you are not in the middle of it., but it will still be loud. Weeknights are quieter and there is less of even no wait.
The Fours is a class act.
If you want a soulless sports bar with 60 giant TVs turned up full-volume so you can hear Joe Buck and Tim McCarver verbally fellate the Yankees in stunning clarity, then fine, go to Game On or wherever and drink your $6 aluminum Bud Light bottles.
If you want a sports bar that understands the history and significance of sports in Boston and evokes the city itself, go to the Fours.
You'll be able to watch your game of choice just fine, with local fans all around. There's a schedule of the day's games when you walk in. Like in the downtown location, you'll be surrounded by exposed brick and a weighty feeling of history.
And the food is the tops. The reason I logged in to write this review is the buffalo chicken mac n' cheese. I was almost afraid to order it because it sounded so good and I didn't want to be disappointed. But I wasn't. It was freaking amazing. I've enjoyed all the sandwiches I've tried, and their pizza and chili, too.
The bartenders are quick and friendly, and the draught beers are fresh; they even pour a good Guinness. Wachusett Blueberry comes with real blueberries in the summer, as it should, and Shipyard's Pumpkinhead is served with cinnamon and sugar on the rim. (They do ask if you want such garnishes, which I appreciate.)
Enough of a sports bar that you can get rowdy with your friends, and enough of a nice restaurant that you can take your granddad out to dinner, the Fours is like the old Cask n' Flagon, Cheers, and the Union Oyster House all rolled into one.
I am honored to write this review because I have finally found my go-to bar in Quincy Center.
I went yesterday with a group of friends after completing a home run derby, what better way to wind down an afternoon of baseball then going to the #1 ranked baseball bar in the country (according to Sports Illustrated)?
We rolled up and since it was Sunday parking was free. Â Upon entering The Fours we were given a large table and our party of six was very comfortable. Â Our waitress was great and tolerant of our friendly chatter and questions about some of the menu items.
For Apps we ordered two pizzas and an order of calamari. Â I have had a hard time finding good pizza in Quincy, and I have not tried everyplace yet but I have to say The Fours have the best pizza I have had in Quincy, period. Â One of the pies we ordered was a special, which had scallops, bacon, and olive oil for toppings. Â It was amazing and if the management is reading this I would highly recommend making that pizza and regular menu item all year or just during the Summer. Â It was amazing and I will be back for another very soon. Â The other pizza was a vegetation pie which I ate the leftovers the next morning and it was also great. Â The calamari was also cooked perfectly and the portion was very generous. Â Score.
For my entrée I got The Yaz, which is an extra lean pastrami sandwich.  I have been eating a lot of pastrami sandwiches recently and this did not disappoint.  It was a little dry for what pastrami should be but it was also very lean.  Which would explain why it was a little dry, but nothing some mustard could not remedy.  Next time I am here I am going to try to Bobby Orr sandwich (steak tips with melted cheese), another member of my party got it and it looked amazing!
---
During the World Cup I paid The Fours a visit during a USA game. Â They opened early and started pouring beers and other adult beverages for everyone who were there to cheer on Old Glory. Â They made sure to announce the kitchen would not be open for about another or so when I arrived. Â That scored some points for me allowing the few hardcore American soccer fans a place to drink during the World Cup.
So if you like sports bars, good service, good food, and don't mind an atmosphere that can sometimes get a little intense when a game is on check out The Fours.
Yum!
I guess having lived in NYC for the past 2 years I had gotten used to small portions for astronomical prices because it did not occur to me that ordering a cup of New England clam chowder and the reuben would leave me with half the sweet potato fries left over and half the sandwich untouched.
As a rule, I don't order New England clam chowder unless I am in New England and this chowder did not disappoint. It had huge, chewy and not at all rubbery clams and it wasn't overloaded with potatoes. Sweet potato fries were an option for the side dish and I was totally excited by that. I love sweet potato fries and most places either don't have them or else they issue a surcharge when you order them as a replacement for regular fries. The corned beef on the reuben was great -- no surprise there since the area is heavily populated by the Irish.
We hung out at the bar for awhile after dinner and I sampled a variety of their cocktails but my favorite was the half margarita/half pina colada. YUM!
I tend to not frequent sports bars that often. Being a gay I A) could really care less about sports and B) like a little more ambiance as I get drunk. I feel less trashy. However, there is something fun about being surrounded by straights and downing jack and diet. Shut up. Its as straight as I get. Â The drinks are strong and pretty cheap. The people are friendly and the bar is a buzz with straight talking boys and girls gettin their drink on. Will I come back? for sure. Maybe ill even dress up. Im thinking jeans and a red sox sweatshirt would be appropriate.
PS the food looked AMAZING. There was a huge cow on a bun that came out that i salivated over. Might have to try it next time. or the buffalo chicken nachos as mentioned in another post. yesssss.
I have been going to the Quincy location for years now..And over the years have established a great love for the great food, drinks and even better service from veteran staff members. Its nice to be able to walk into such a well known place and always have the same faces...I hate going to places where the have "disposable places" becuase it screams to me they prob either don't treat their staff memebers right, or there is something disturbing enough not to make people want to stay around...Not with this place..
My friend and I headed there while she was visiting from out of state..She was a bit skeptical of this place as she has a ton of allergies, but she quickly fell in love with The Fours for all the same reasons i have.
The Fours was voted "Best Sports Bar in America" by Sports Illustrated in 2006. It may not be the #1 sportsbar ever, but it is a pretty decent place to grab some food and a few beers.
They have a wide varity of food. They have a pretty standard selection of apps, but they are all really well done. The sandwiches (all named after athletes) are great, with huge portions (personal favorites are the Johny Kelly and the Doug Flutie). They also have pasta, seafood, and daily specials. Their Boston baked beans are also delicious. Â
It can defintely get crowded on weekends at the bar, but its a good choice to just stop in, grab some food and beers and watch the game on your way somewhere else.
This was the first stop on a Red Line Pub Crawl (one hell of a long pub crawl). Our "fueling station," it's where we met up with everyone, kicked off the drinking and got a bite to eat.
Considering our event consisted of bars right off the Red Line, this place was not particularly convenient. It's several blocks and a few corner turns away from the Quincy Center T station. We actually asked a mailman for help finding it, at which time he said, 'Go and order the chicken ziti with red sauce . . . I always get that when I go there!' Postal worker props . . . one point for The Fours!
We finally found our way to the front entrance off the parking lot (there is parking). I didn't go in the restaurant area, but the oval-shaped bar was bordering on large. TVs are nicely displayed, and there are plenty of bar tables and counters to sit at all around the area. There's also plenty of standing room, although it was pretty empty when we arrived at 4:00.
Looking at the crowd, this seems like the type of place a lot of older men come on a very regular basis. Lots of them, just sittin' on their stools, alone, watching the game and drinking some beers. But, like I said, we were here early. From the size of the place and the few younger people there (aside from our huge bar crawl party), I had the sense that this place gets busy with a wide range of people at night or during a big game.
It's a full bar and the bartenders were very friendly and quick to help. We ordered potato skins (could have been crispier) and buffalo wings (fantastic!) before taking off to our next destination. In hindsight, I should have had a bit more to eat to prepare for the day . . . why didn't I listen to the mailman!
